I have two children, both of whom wear glasses. My younger child's eye sight hasn't stabilised yet and he needs a new prescription pretty much every 6 months. We have to choose a new pair of frames every 6 months, because it actually costs a lot more to have new lenses put into an old pair of frames than it does to buy a new set. It seems complete sets of frames and lenses are subsidized, but simply changing the lenses in an existing frame is not. I am very grateful we parents get free eye tests on the NHS for our kids and that we also get reduced prices on the frames and lenses. However, I do think it is wrong that I can get a pair of frames with lenses for free on the NHS, where as if I want to keep an existing frame, I have to pay in the region of £35 per lens. This crates a huge amount of waste (we have around 15 pairs of old specs at home), wastes resources and the NHS is throwing away money when it can't afford to do so. I expect the NHS is tied in to some deal with the frames manufacturers which dictates that they cannot subsidize new lenses for existing frames. but it creates so much unnecessary waste and expense, so this needs to be changed! Let's encourage parents to reuse their children's frames and reduce the amount of waste we all create, but let it not cost more than the price of a new pair of frames with lenses.

To prevent the elderly and vulnerable having to travel long distances to large Hospitals more suited to major Trauma, with small injuries such as finger dislocations (which still need an X-ray to diagnose). This would free up staff to treat life threatening, major cases, and prevent patients waiting, often in severe pain,for hours in A&E. for with minor injuries. I tripped over in the road in Helston and could see my thumb was at a strange angle. My son drove me straight to Helston Hospital Minor Injuries Unit. I was in a lot of pain but they just said go to Truro A&E. This was at 2.30. and I finally had the dislocation set at 10 that night. No pain killers offered, or blood wiped away - I was a 'Minor Injury' and frankly, clogging up the very busy department. The old lady next to me had fallen on her face and she too, sat with me the same length of time, covered in blood. We should have been treated at a Minor Injuries Unit near where we live, it makes sense, surely ? If my son hadn't been there it would have been an ambulance and then left stranded in Truro with no way of getting home, late at night, which I also have experienced.

The majority of sporting venues throughout the world recognise their greatest champions. I know Wimbledon is different in that it sticks with tradition and would never rename the courts. I however believe this would be a way showing support and appreciation for what Andy has brought to British tennis over the past decade or so.

England is the only part of the UK where hospitals routinely charge patients and visitors for parking at all. Non biodegradable plastics and packaging are poisoning the seas, killing animals and entering the food chain on which we depend. We are a part of this wonderful world; not apart from it. But time is ticking. The old, outdated materials do break down. And then join the soil along with the leaves and other organic matter. Petrochemical plastic is a silent assasin which we have unleashed upon our dearest friend. There is simply no other choice but to phase it out fast. We have all seen the news. Isn't it a pity and isn't it a shame that we can't watch the Blue Planet without so many horror stories at the end of every episode. This maybe the most chilling tale so far. Anyone who watches the world closely will have noticed this menace creeping its way into the ecosystem and choking its innocent inhabitants. What we cannot see is that is also seeping into the very lifeblood of this planet and becoming a part of us and our children...

There is currently a campaign asking MPs to pledge to support the divestment of Parliament from fossil fuels.This has already happened in the Irish Parliament and has had a massive effect in changing public opinion and making them aware of the devastating effect that the fossil fuel industry has on the environment. If only 20% of the proven fossil fuel reserves are burned, we will not be able to keep within the UN's target of 1.5 degree temperature rise, and any more than this will cause catastrophic and irreversible climate change. This makes the drive towards fracking utterly non-sensical, as fracking is part of the problem and not part of the solution. Divestment from fossil fuels is an essential component of limiting climate change, because we cannot afford to be investing in such a damaging industry. Just 100 companies, many of which are fossil fuel companies, contribute 71% of carbon emissions worldwide. I am asking you please to sign the parliamentary pledge at the earliest opportunity. It will send an important message to other MPs if you do so. If you are not prepared to sign it, I would like to know the reasons why you do not share the view that this is an essential step in the process towards limiting climate change.

It is important because online gambling is destroying families and peoples lives. The online gambling companies are quick enough to restrict or even close peoples accounts if they are winning too much. In other words it is impossible to win. Let's level the playing field by restricting what everyone can spend with an online gambling company to say £50 per week. This way debt and asset loss cannot spiral out of control in an extremely worrying short space of time. I know of a case where somebody gambled away their family home without their partner knowing anything until the repossessors knocked on the door.

We need to reduce Climate change and the UK needs to play it’s part in doing so and offer an alternative to taking the car every where we go. The government want’s us to chance our vehicles away from Diesel and Petrol at our expense with very little or no incentive to do so.

The option to invest in Early Help Services and keep all children's centres open should be considered now that a decision on the unitary authority has been made. With the council said to make savings of £18.2m per year (Net 5 year revenue of £45.4m) when the new authority is formed, the decision should be delayed until then. By closing all 35 children’s centres, the Council wish to make a saving of £3.1m in early help overall. However, if they are saving £18.2m per year with the unitary, then why not wait until this is in place and look at investing in Early Help services to improve them? All options on the current consultation involve making cuts and are inadequate. In addition, there is no 'other' option (see question 18 consultation) when having to decide what their preferred choice is, people are feeling as if they have been forced to chose an option they don't necessarily agree with. Investing in children, prevention and health will lead to savings overall and in the long run. Closing children’s centres in the long run will affect children, their families and could lead to isolation and an increase in mental health issues. To help to prevent food poisoning. In Wales establishments try to gain a 5 rating. There is no reall incentive in English restraunts to try to improve as most customers are not aware of the ratings food outlets have.

If we can end loneliness with a little community spirit then this will lessen mental health issues down the line. This will have a positive affect on the NHS and community spirit in general. If someone knows they will get at least one visit a month it will give them something to look forward to.

Eating Disorders are serious! A person who is suffering shouldn't be made to wait until they are seriously underweight or have a low BMI before they even get the help they need and ask for.
