The current system of creating money through the sale of ever increasing layers of debt, and now, the BofE operating an unaccountable balance sheet which defies principle or prudence, is plumbing the depths of fantasy economics, is unsustainable in nature. It is starting to resemble a listing pirate ship liable to sink at any moment. Only Sound money can deliver a reduction of inequality, a sustainable future for the environment and the next generation and re-establish trust in government, creating a new united kingdom that everyone can believe in.

While we welcome action against anti-social behaviour, Sunderland city council’s proposals for new Public Space Protection Orders seem to be focused on the persecution of homeless individuals. This is particularly apparent in the plans to stop ‘bin raking’. It is a disgrace that in one of the world’s richest countries people need to feed themselves, or make a living, from the contents of public waste bins. Imposing fines on these individuals, and those who beg on our city’s streets, would be pointless and counter-productive. It would serve only to distress the individuals concerned and increase the work and, therefore, the cost of police, community workers and the CPS. It is another, very sorry state of affairs, that yet another NHS surgery, is being forced to close down, due to rising rents, NHS cutbacks and-frankly-a total disregard for the welfare of thousands of patients and their RIGHTS to expect and receive consultation(s), treatment(s) and professional care, from our GP's. So, Our practice is being forced to close, in March 2017, so that all of its patients shall have no other option but go 'elsewhere' to register with another surgery. As you are all, likely aware, a Doctor/Patient relationship is dependent on trust and familiarity. Doubtless, this relationship shall be compromised-particularly to the many of older and/or those with more serious ongoing conditions. Furthermore, the dread of such serious change might actually have a detrimental effect on some patients' already fragile health. At the very least, chaos bodes. Please ask yourselves this question: with yet another closure, where can the patients go? Surgeries are already at bursting point and the Government seems bent on privatisation, which means that ANYBODY who depends on their local surgery is at risk of substandard health care and therefore, deteriorating conditions, BECAUSE THEY ARE CLOSING THE ONE PLACE WHICH PATIENTS SHOULD BE ABLE TO RELY ON. Two years ago, I had extremely serious health problems. Had it not been for the NHS, I would have died. My Doctor, at surgery, was immeasurably important in galvanising the correct treatment and/or medication, so vital in turning the illnesses around. Not once but three times. In short, were it not for my GP's locale and readiness to accept the critical treatments needed, I would have died. So, how many more like examples of the necessity of local surgeries are there? If it is something you cannot associate with yourself, then-BET YOUR LIFE-you know somebody that it has happened to. Therefore, I am urging you all, for the well being of yourself, your families, friends and those who desperately NEED your wonderful surgery, please sign this petition to stop the closure at Union Row. Furthermore, I urge you to focus on not only your health but that of the NHS itself. PLEASE DON'T LET THIS PASS YOU BY. ONE DAY, WE SHALL ALL NEED THE NHS.

People who are refugees are people and deserve dignity, respect and support to maintain the basic human needs of having adequate shelter.

As someone who is disabled myself, I feel very strongly, that people like us should be able to live independently, and contribute to society, and not be made to feel we are being cast out. Growing up, I was made to feel a second class citizen by peoples attitudes, and have felt we have made a lot of progress through coverage of the Paralympics, being a great example.

This has created a massive impact on the UK welfare population that goes all the way to mothers caring for their disabled children, charging people ludicrous fines and causing much suffering for those affected. If we have free training and education then the hope is we will have a better lifestyle in this country a happier workforce less poverty and a government at last realising that education is for all not just the few. And more important education is a must to growth and this hopefully will help to take away the catch 22 you must have a loan.

It is time for a new humanitarian approach. The French have done everything possible to prevent refugees entering the UK, although you wouldn't get this from the anti European UK press, so change the approach, stop spending on penning people in and help them with a job, training and a proper roof over their heads.

I'm a transgender myself and would love to have SRS straight away but the rules are preventing me for having my wish I feel extremely uncomfortable in my body and am scared of going out as people stare, I have noticed other people in the same position who would love to have the rules changed so they feel more comfortable and I think this would give us the freedom we always wanted and give us the correct body and allow us not to feel trapped.

A spit hood is a material bag that goes over someone’s head with a drawstring to tighten it - and the Metropolitan Police want to start using these restraints on people across London. Spit hoods are degrading and inhuman, and can be used on anyone. In Suffolk, a spit hood was placed on an 11 year old girl with severe learning difficulties. Having a bag put over your head while being held down would be traumatic for anyone, let alone a vulnerable child. The police already have handcuffs, batons, leg restraints and are allowed to use force... Do they really need to use spit hoods too? There appears to be little solid proof they are actually necessary, but what is certain is that they can be dangerous, and cause significant panic for a detainee, whilst officers could protect themselves with masks and eye protection instead. The image of their use has been described as reminiscent of torture and horror films. They can prevent recognition of urgent health issues involving breathing and swallowing, and with inequality a hot topic currently for the UK society at large (including the Police), there are questions around whether or not their use could deepen social divides and exacerbate inequality issues, particularly bearing in mind their recent use against those with mental health issues. Major police forces around the UK don't allow the use of spit hoods - and they shouldn't be allowed to be used in London.
