The issue of Red or Blue passport covers is not an important one, yet this politician wants to waste government time and people's money when we have more important issues, like Brexit negotiations, to focus on.

Wakefield Council is now responsible for ‘Public Health’ in the district. It contracts with NHS providers like the Mid Yorkshire Hospitals Trust and South West Yorkshire Partnership Foundation Trust (SWYPFT) to deliver services such as Health Visiting. At the end of July it told SWYPFT it wants them to stop running the Health Trainer Service, the Community Food & Health service and part of the Safe at Home (domestic violence) service by 30th September. The jobs of around 40 NHS staff will go. We know that the Government is cutting the money it gives to local Councils for these services but this decision has been taken without proper consultation with the health professionals (such as GPs) who refer people to the services, the people who provide them, or the public who use them. The service was recently rated ‘Good’ by the Care Quality Commission and no discussions have taken place about how the cost of the services might be reduced or about winding down the service (people are still be referred to groups that should run until after the service is due to close).

Recently, the underpass adjacent to Thetford bus station was cleared of (quite artistic) graffiti. While this was done with the best of intentions the resultant mess is awful and blights the approach to the bus station and the town centre for the many people who use it every day. It is also immediately adjacent to The Priory - one of Thetford's main historical attractions - and gives a very bad impression to visitors and tourists alike. Thetford, regrettably, gets a lot of bad press - most of which is totally unjustified. Leaving the underpass in its current state only reinforces the thoughts of many who see it as run down and tired. The location of the underpass gives an ideal opportunity to present the town in a good light to a significant number of people and the walls could be repainted based on a number of local themes - The Brecks, Dad's Army, transportation etc.

We are a nation that deploys millions of pounds in overseas aid each year, yet can't address this major problem immediately on our doorstep. After the Government was shamed into agreeing to take 3000 child refugees from Calais, no actual action has been taken despite the ongoing and continuous risk to these very young children. Three months on, nothing has been done. Let's bring about serious change in the way we treat children fleeing war.

To let the People of All those effected by the current proposals for a super Council to have a Voice rather than Cllrs making the decision.

Virgin has taken the decision to close the crèche. It is hugely disappointing and very very sad to see this happen, especially given their reason for this is to use it as an additional PT gym, which they will make much more money through than the crèche. The decision completely disregards any community and family values but is solely focussed on more profit for Virgin. Not only is this a very poor decision, but also has it been extremely poorly communicated without even asking any members using the crèche what their views are, how much they use/value the crèche, would they pay more for it and would there be any alternatives. They simply made the decision on money terms only, and clearly communicated when asked that losing all members using the crèche wouldn’t matter as they would still make more money through the new PT studio – very very single minded, short sighted and ridiculously selfish. The crèche is an amazing benefit we hugely value, the creche team is simply fantastic, loving and caring, super reliable and just simply irreplaceable. My son now 2.5 yrs has been here since 3months old and has made many friends amongst the many fun kids who come here; he loves being here so much that I have to drag him to leave and gives hugs and kisses to all the crèche ladies who he has come to love so much over the years, it is part of his home and family, his community! I am hoping many of you feel the same way, and this is not just about me and my son but even more so about the fantastic crèche team for whom this is not just a job, but a vocation with the kids having grown so close to their hearts. I am deeply disappointed, sad and angry and just feel we cant just stay quiet about this. I am sure some of you like me have spoken to the manager, but clearly together we are stronger. We have had a coop store in Over Hulton since the turn of the last century. The store is the hub of the community, also housing the local post office. Other stores in the near locality have also been selected for takeover by McColl's, leaving residents without local access to a coop store. Residents do not want R.S. McColls, they do not provide the same range or ethical quality of goods that that Coop sells and do not provide the member services offered by the Cooperative organisation. A petition has been instigated by myself and Denise Sullivan another resident and over the course of just one week we have collected 15000 signatures in support of our cause, including our local MP who lives in the vicinity.

This development of the stadium will fundamentally change the nature of our quiet residential area. Thousands of people will regularly be travelling to and parking in the area - Myreside, Merchiston, Craiglockhart, Shandon/Harrison Park and Morningside/Craighouse. These plans will result in: Very large volumes of traffic being brought into the surrounding area, with road safety being a concern. There is already heavy congestion in the vicinity during peak times and these plans will significantly increase problems on roads leading into and out of the area Parking in residential areas and private developments – Edinburgh Rugby estimates what we believe is a conservative 500 cars per match for the trial period. We believe the limited public transport in the area will result in many 100s of cars, minibuses and buses parking in surrounding areas - and those without resident parking permit restrictions will be most affected - as supporters follow their teams for across UK and Europe. Visual and environmental impact of a large stadium complex being built. Noise and litter problems, temporary food stalls and bars, anti-social behaviour.

The public have the right to know whether Margaret Thatcher used her influence to secure a construction contract for her son. Clive Whitmore, Mrs Thatcher’s principal private secretary from 1979 to 1982, is quoted as saying in his book: “Mark was driven by greed and reluctant to pass up any opportunity.” The i Newspaper recently reported - Mark's files 'to stay secret until 2053' Downing Street files relating to the controversial business dealings of Sir Mark Thatcher in 1984 have not been released under official 20-year rules. Why, what is there to hide? It's not as if national security is threatened.

The railway arches on John Street have housed independent arts based businesses for nearly 30 years. It has been a vibrant cultural space for the nurturing of grassroots talent in music, dance, theatre and various other arts. There are few other spaces in the city centre that have this kind of thriving arts community. Currently the arches are home to 3 independent businesses, The Cardiff Arches, Jukebox Collective and Only Drums Aloud. All 3 have been based at the arches for over 10 years. The Cardiff Arches rehearsal and recording studios provide a vital city centre resource for all Cardiff based musicians including young musicians who don’t have the transport or budget to travel to out-of-town studios. Jukebox Collective is a leading company for street dance education and performance in the UK and was recently awarded National Portfolio Organisation Status by Arts Council Wales. Only Drums Aloud has been providing award winning drum tuition to children and adults of all abilities for over 12 years at the arches, and as well as a samba band and group tuition it also double as a rehearsal space. A recent planning application for office blocks the land adjoining the railway arches is threatening their continued use as music and dance studios by restricting the access and parking that are currently available to users of the arches. We believe that some minor changes to the proposal will allow the redevelopment to go ahead whilst retaining access and parking for all 6 studios on the row therefore allowing the arts in the area to continue to flourish.

Dear Squash Fan! We hope you can take a moment to sign our online 'e-petition' to help our squash courts in Scarborough. Four years ago we registered our interest to become part of the new Scarborough Leisure Village which is due to be completed in May 2017. The Council pledged to replace the existing facilities and 3 new glass back squash courts were centrally located in the plans. Today we face the threat of having no courts as the potential leisure service operators want a larger gym. So at this 11th hour the Council are wanting to change the original plans and completely remove the squash courts. This would leave us with no courts in the town centre and far too many gyms. Therefore we are starting this 'Everyone 4 Squash' campaign to secure the presence and long term success of squash in Scarborough fo our current players and generations to come. If you are a Crohns disease sufferer: and feel we are being unnecessary discriminated against, by the National Institute for Clinical Excellence and cancer patients please sign this petition. The N.I.C.E.'s decades old legislation, to prevent Crohns disease sufferers being awarded and treated with the Crohns disease cure. Instead the Crohns cure was awarded to bowel cancer patients and other types of cancer. This has proven partially effective; if bowel cancer is detected earlier enough. Meanwhile millions of Crohns sufferers are denied their cure. Surely it is time for Crohns disease patients to be included in their own cure. We are paying taxes too and deserve to have our cure available to us in the U.K. The Crohns disease cure should be available on the NHS as well as private practices. Unless we sort out the illegalities of the legislation discriminating against Crohns disease sufferers: these malpractices will not only be continued to use against Crohns disease sufferers, but could also be used to discriminate against other types of minority medical complaints and their sufferers. It may even effect our right to treatment here in the UK (public/private practices); if researchers in other countries come up with other forms of a Crohns cure. We must change this inequality against Crohns disease sufferers here in the UK.
