The Government’s new Public Order Bill would allow police to put innocent people on electronic ankle tags and ban them from attending marches and demonstrations. Campaigners and people who want to attend a protest need not have ever committed any offence in order to be given a so-called “protest banning order” by the police. Under this new anti-protest law, the police will be given powers to monitor campaigners using electronic GPS tags, restrict their internet activities and prevent them from attending protests. These are some of the most disturbing and anti-democratic police powers introduced in the UK for decades. After the shocking police behaviour towards grieving women at the Clapham vigil for Sarah Everard, we fear these ankle tags could entail serious abuse. There is no place for police monitoring and oppression of people simply campaigning for change. These extreme police powers would be controversial in Russia and China – we cannot allow them in a democratic country like the UK. If thousands of us sign this petition, we can make Suella Braverman and Rishi Sunak drop these dangerous new powers.

People and families across the UK have been left reeling over the fact that there was no mention or additional support for the cost of living crisis millions are currently facing in this year's Queen's Speech. Energy bills have risen and will rise again in the autumn with over a million households predicted to struggle to pay their bill. Food in supermarkets is predicted to increase by 15% and childcare costs have soared for 2 in 3 families. Something needs to be done to help so many get through this crisis. We need to let Southampton City Council know that the people in the city are missing out on artists, comedians, acts, etc unless they make long journeys to other cities

Mid Devon District Council, the landowners and developers of the Cullompton Northwest extension have chosen to completely ignore representations regarding the Northwest development made by the Town Council over many years, and in particular the timing of the full Spine Road and the impact that a late delivery will have on the Town and its residents (both existing and those that will move into the new homes). As a Town Councillor I have repeatedly made the thoughts of residents clear; the full spine road linking Rull Lane and Tiverton Road needs to be in place (at the very least for construction traffic) BEFORE any other work starts. The developer and MDDC have seemingly chosen to ignore this, and the representations made by the Town Council and have no intention of opening a spine road until 140 houses are build (around 3 years!). This is our chance to speak loudly and clearly - construction traffic must not use High Street / Tiverton Road. There is an alternative available to the developers; they can lay the spine road running from Rull Lane to Tiverton Road first, and then all construction traffic can bypass the residential area, the pedestrians, the school children, the heritage action zone, and an area already severely congested and area that suffers horrendous air quality. If we do not speak out now, the disruption in the coming years will be massive. The plan, as presented, will negatively affect everyone in Cullompton for years to come, we can’t stop the development, and we do need more homes; but not at any cost- Infrastructure must come first, the spine road must come first.

The volume, speed and weight of vehicles travelling daily through these villages is not in any way suitable for the nature of the road. It poses a very real risk to health and to property and we feel that action needs to be carried out now to prevent serious injury or damage. The increase in the volume, speed and weight of vehicles using this road is having a significant impact on residents by disturbing the peace of these rural, Lincolnshire villages.

Research says young people need at least an hour of exercise a day to stay healthy. After school, the skatepark is an ideal place to exercise. Lewes skatepark has a friendly, inclusive community and welcomes kids of all abilities and backgrounds. It gives young people who don’t usually access sport facilities a healthy and positive activity

The playground on Clarendon Park Road has long been neglected. The city council has acknowledged that the surfacing is unsafe and that much of the equipment is no longer appropriate. The local community have been told they must raise ninety thousand pounds to fund these essential works and that the city council will not provide any funding towards this work. We would like the city council to fund the resurfacing and replacement of outdated equipment. Many families have little or no private gardens. The playground provides valuable opportunity for the community to meet and for children to play safely together.

We’re in a cost of living crisis. Across the country, millions of families can’t keep up with their bills as energy, food, fuel and other everyday costs soar. From pensioners to children, too many are being plunged into poverty as a result. Many people are left with the choice between heating their homes or feeding their families. This is a scandal. The government has to act. The pandemic showed that politicians can choose to support people when times are tough. The enormous profits of energy giants, like BP and Shell, shows that the money is there to be used to help people through this crisis.

Leisure use since 2016 has rescued the barn and setting from redundancy and by NYE 2023 we will have welcomed nearly 32,500 guests to Coggeshall from all over the world! PUBLIC ticketed leisure activities include LIVE MUSIC, LIVE COMEDY, ARCHERY and CIRCUS SKILLS and THEMED EVENTS and these take place between PRIVATE weddings, milestone parties and corporate events. Stock Street offers unique and varied social facilities to all age groups in an area seeing rapid expansion in communities. Reusing our site for leisure is seen locally as entirely positive. Our role is recognised in Coggeshall Parish Neighbourhood Plan 2021, is supported by 3 Parish Councils, both District Councillors and our County Councillor and is popular with local residents and brings many visitors to Coggeshall and Braintree District – BUT IS NOT SUPPORTED BY BRAINTREE DISTRICT Planning Officers. Stock Street is the target of heavy-handed enforcement designed to stop planning offenders where public harm is evidenced and reported by local residents, Parish / District Councils and Licensing or Highways. We have never received any complaints from anybody including Highways - over 55 million vehicles have passed us since 2016. Multiple efforts to address officer concerns and secure planning approval have been prevented; our valid 2020 application 20/00009/FUL was declined public consultation and our reasonable request to submit a new application in April 2022 was denied by a Council press release on 26 April 2022 as they chose instead to start Enforcement. The Council press release badly damaged our business. During the Appeal Public Hearing we will show that D2 / F2 Leisure activity is a betterment of the site's use from heritage, public benefit and safer highway access perspectives when compared with the current B8 storage and distribution use (or any other use).

My son was killed on track due to an inexperienced rider being on track. There needs to be a governing body so this happens to no other family.
