• CAMHS to 25
CAMHS stops at 18. No matter your state/need/condition/where you are on your road to recovery. There is now no continuity to your care with people you trust. Your support network is suddenly gone. You are referred to the adult mental health service. Due to patient confidentiality and now being classed as an adult no-one will give parents/family any information. The adult mental health service is so over stretched and disjointed. There are massive waiting lists so you are left in a big black hole with no proper support. Even after a further crisis point/hospitalisation, constant chasing up, you wait a year to be told it will be another 2 years before you can access CBT/counselling/therapy. There is nothing!! There is no funding to support the dire need of our kids when they are most vulnerable! It couldn't be more cruel and critical. 1 in 4 will have mental health problems. No-one is immune. We need to act NOW and make a change before it is too late! We're talking life and death. Literally!

  • Protect Lodgers Deposits across the country
There is a major problem in the housing and property market whereby landlords whom want to make extra money renting individual rooms are providing no agreements and are taking sizable deposits from lodgers offering no protection as there is no policy or law that says they should do, 1.7 million homeowners rented rooms to lodgers in 2016 according to Santander Mortgages Survey. This matters because alot of professionals including our emergency services sector are renting in this way and by not regulating this area means hundreds of thousands of pounds are not returned with no consequences. I have a family member that decided to use a lodging platform for listings to find a room in London, she paid £1200 as a deposit, whilst living in the property the landlord began to infringe on her personal space and belongings and so she decided to give notice to leave, when she asked for the return of her deposit the landlord refused saying she missed payments and the room wasn't in the same condition he rented it to her in, she was devastated as there seemed to be nothing she could do but taking it to a claims court, she decided to walk away. I have heard thousands of stories just like this I want a Lodger Deposit Guard to be backed by the Department of communities and local government and rolled out as a mandatory action when renting a room going hand in hand with background checking to stop unregulated renting.

  • Bring an Aldi Store to Barry, South Wales
Barry is the 5th largest town in Wales (after Cardiff, Swansea, Newport, Wrexham and Merthyr) and could easily support an Aldi store. This would give local people access to the two budget supermarkets and widen the choices available to the people in Barry. Using Facebook as my measure, I believe that there is a significant majority of people in Barry that would welcome the addition of an Aldi store and that the Vale's planning department should respect the wishes of the people in Barry

  • Set a maximum working temperature during summer
During the heatwave, everyone is becoming very uncomfortable with the heat. Often finding that they become ill. Currently there is no set maximum working temperature, however i think this should change. Not only do i think this is unsafe for children in schools and nurseries, but adults working in poorly airconditioned workplaces too. It is important because workers and young children are at risk of becoming dehydrated and unfocused. Equally staff are feeling uncomfortable.

  • British Troops in Syria
It has been reported that US. UK and Norwegian troops have set up a base near Al Tanf on Syrian territory bordering Jordan in the South. Around it they have declared a self styled "deconfliction zone". They have already fired on and killed Syrian forces on their own soil. This is illegal as Syria is a recognised sovereign country by the United Nations. It has not been sanctioned as an act of war by the UK parliament. ISIS is not strong in the area and is weakening across Syria. Russia has given active and effective military support to the Syrian arab army at the invitation of Syria's government. There is great potential for an escalation of the war in Syria to a wider war should US and Russian troops be involved in a direct conflict. The UK should not associate itself with aggressive US foreign policy but aim to support peace in the area.

  • Catmose College - hot weather uniform policy
It is both unfair and unsafe to expect students to wear the prescribed uniform which includes black blazers, ties and tights, in spells of hot weather. The relaxing of these items is In order to promote health and wellbeing and to maximise concentration levels amongst students. This is practiced within all major uniformed associations such as military and emergency services. Guidance should also be observed by NHS England http://www.nhs.uk/Livewell/Summerhealth/Pages/Heatwave.aspx After a short and frank discussion this morning with the Headteacher on this issue, my suggestions were met with a degree of negativity. Whilst a decision was made to relax the uniform with an impending high of 29 degrees C, comments were made to suggest there have been no complaints from either Parents or Students, one which I aim to prove is not the case. Therefore, I would like to call on all Parents and Guardians who have children at this school to support this petition and ensure a fair and safe policy is adopted. Contrary to comments posted on social media by the school, yesterday is believed to be the first time the uniform was officially relaxed through a notification to all staff from the Head Teacher, bizarrely this was after pressure on FB and my face to face conversation with the Head. I am not in search of glory, but it needs to be made clear this was down to pressure, which this petition further enhances. Thank you all in advance😉

  • Hold Tommy Robinson (EDL) accountable
Considering the UK has seen a number of terror attacks over the weeks, it is imperative hate preachers like Tommy who have a history of anti muslim behaviour are stopped immediately. Social media is awash with numerous examples of Tommy Robinsons anti muslim views. Such views could have motivated the attack in Finsbury Park and need to be investigated urgently to avoid a repeat. Far right extremism is on the rise and innocent Muslims are suffering. Tommy has said the Mosque near to where people were mown down created 'Radical Jihadists' and was promoting 'hate and segregation'. This will create further fear and hatred of Muslims and may motivate radicals to act against Muslims by launching further attacks. For the betterment of community relations this needs to be investigated urgently.

  • Closing schools during extrem hot weather.
High temp causes children to become lethargic. It also causes head aches, dizzesness, confusion, loss of appetite, a feeling of sickness, cramps, higher BP and pulse, Heat exhaustion can lead to full blown heat stroke. What is the point of making our children ill when they can't learn anything due to feeling so bad due to the heat. We need to put our children's health first. Our weather is changing due to climate change every year. It's going from one extrem to another. From bitter cold to torrential rain. Now we are starting to get hit by the heat for weeks on end.

  • Stop the aerial spraying of toxic chemicals on Dartmoor.
This chemical is a toxic carcinogen, which will contaminate groundwater, soil, flora, and fauna. Most of Devon's water supply will become contaminated with Asulox, as the rivers start on Dartmoor. Grazing animals avoid areas sprayed with Asulox for many years, (thus giving them less food, year round, or them being forced to eat what they would like to refuse). The spraying is pointless, as in a short time the areas look as they did before they were sprayed. There are safer, sustainable methods. Please make it a priority to sign and share as widely as possible. We only have a short time, as spraying is due to start on July 1st. The safety data sheet says : S -phrase(s) S24 - Avoid contact with skin S37 - Wear suitable gloves S57 - Use appropriate container to avoid environmental contamination S60 - This material and its container must be disposed of as hazardous waste This product (Asulam) was banned by the EU. It was renamed Asulox https://www.harrells.com/resources/exports/file?n=ASULOX&t=sds Join the Facebook group to learn more https://www.facebook.com/groups/1897490687171289 This is useful information https://www.facebook.com/groups/1897490687171289/permalink/1899936393593385/

  • National Day of Mourning and Remembrance
A great number of people perished in the Grenfell Tower disaster. This has been a tragedy on a national scale, in particular as so many children are counted among the deceased. Equally, the recent Westminster attack, the Manchester bombings, the London Bridge attack and the Finsbury Park attacks have collectively resulted in extensive loss of life and serious injury. To date, there has not been a coherent 'official' response which recognises, humanely, the enormity of these events and which fully acknowledges their collective impact. Is it not time for the UK to move beyond the '1 minute silence' gesture to a fuller recognition of the scale of the recent events, and provide a means whereby feelings of sympathy and solidarity with the survivors and their respective communities may be more fully expressed? A National day of Mourning and Remembrance would allow citizens to do this. Please sign this petition if you would like the Government to announce a National Day of Mourning and Remembrance which will show your support for the best of Britain, an open, tolerant society which cares equally for all of its citizens.
