• Make Hampshire Constabulary act on all reports of dangerous driving
This is important because the lives of myself and hundreds of other vulnerable road users have either been put at risk, altered by injury or taken by dangerous drivers, who then face little to no repercussions for their behaviour. At the moment, unless there's a collision, the force will take no further action, claiming that anything less doesn't meet the CPS threshold for dangerous driving, despite the CPS and Road Traffic Act 1988, who say that it's dangerous driving if there's a risk of injury or serious property damage.

  • Don't fine people for begging in Corby
The idea of fining those who already have so little, that they are forced to sleep out in the cold or ask for food and money is a cruel and heartless act. This is attacking vulnerable people and does not resolving the issues homeless people face. Other campaigns have successfully stopped other councils from imposing similar fines. You can read about the PSPO on the Corby council website here: "The PSPO prohibits: Persons not to beg within the area covered by the PSPO" http://www.corby.gov.uk/public-space-protection-order-place-tackle-anti-social-drinking

  • Don't fine people for begging in Poole
The idea of fining those who already have so little, that they are forced to sleep out in the cold or ask for food and money is a cruel and heartless act. This is attacking vulnerable people and does not resolve the issues homeless people face. Other campaigns have successfully stopped other councils from imposing similar fines. Nottingham has proposed £60-100 fines, but others are planning up to £1000. Councils use get-outs that they're "intentionally homeless" or "not vulnerable enough" to avoid helping these people. Most have one or more health conditions. We live in a rich western enlightened democracy apparently. Do you want this to happen in your name? We've already had a response from Poole Council's Safer Communities Manager, Ian Cooke, who invites us all to go and have a chat with him: "if you are so concerned about the plight of the homeless and those begging on the streets of Poole you might like to come and discuss the issues with me". If you'd like to share you views with Mr Cooke please feel free to email him on: [email protected] This campaign is based on this information from Poole council's website, the order lasts for 3 years and was introduced in December 2014: http://www.poole.gov.uk/newsroom/2014-news-archive/december-2014/borough-of-poole-obtains-public-spaces-protection-orders/ If you have anything that suggests that Poole Council are no longer able to fine people for begging then we'd love to hear more from you, drop us an email at [email protected]

  • Don't ban begging in Worthing
The idea of fining those who already have so little that they are forced to sleep out in the cold or ask for food and money is a cruel and heartless act. This is attacking vulnerable persons and does not aid in resolving the homeless issues, instead it makes the situation worse. Fixing Penalty Notices can be issued by the Council and fines of £50 imposed. Failure to pay these fines can lead to prosecution that will criminalise those already vulnerable in society. Efforts should be made to help these people so that they don't need to beg. Other campaigns have successfully halted other councils from imposing similar fines. This campaign is based on this information from Worthing council's website: https://www.adur-worthing.gov.uk/safer-communities/pspo/ If you have anything that suggests that Northampton Council are no longer planning to fine people for begging then we'd love to hear more from you, drop us an email at [email protected]

  • Child protection legislation for all businesses and organisations dealing with children
Most people don't realise that in this country anyone can set up a business working with children with no qualifications or DBS checks. Given that victims of child abuse often don't come forward until well into adulthood safeguards should be put into place to protect all children. The FA refuse to take responsibility for children working as referees, within football. So all aspects of the children involved need to be considered. Only paid child minders are registered and checked by ofsted I think a similar system needs to be rolled out to all organisations that deal with children.

  • Bring Back Legal Aid
The right to be heard- to be represented in court - to gain justice - has become the privilege of the wealthy. Many people on low incomes have been unable to solve Civil Law cases due to legal aid being withdrawn by the government. It has made a mockery of the legal system- it must be re-instated

  • Treat homeless people with respect and dignity
Public Space Protection Orders allow for broad powers to criminalise behaviour that is not normally criminal. This means in theory homeless people could be fined £100 for accepting food from kind-hearted strangers. This could demonise people who are often unwell, maybe have mental health issues or have just fallen on hard times. This is no way to treat the most vulnerable in our town. PSPOs are geographically defined, making predefined activities within a mapped area prosecutable. People can literally be fined for being in the wrong place. Under PSPOs homeless people could be targeted if they enter an exclusion zone, which covers a large part of the town. I am saddened and disappointed that the great town of South Shields has recently started enforcing Public Space Protection Orders (PSPO). This campaign is based on this information from the council's website: https://www.southtyneside.gov.uk/article/35174/Public-Spaces-Protection-Orders If you have anything that suggests that the council are no longer able to fine people for begging then we'd love to hear more from you, drop us an email at [email protected] https://www.southtyneside.gov.uk/article/35174/Public-Spaces-Protection-Orders

  • A law that protects original & unique fashion designs.
Fashion designs/patterns etc are always being stolen. This copyright law will allow designers in the fashion industry to protect their original and unique designs from others. This is important because so many designs/ideas are being stolen especially in the fashion industry. So many knockoffs of original designs are being created and destroys the original designs being made. It is harder for up and coming designers who are just going into the industry to be able to protect their designs especially against large retail companies who it would be impossible to fight back. I am currently wanting to go into the Fashion industry and have been creating a range of T-shirts/clothing which the designs I have drew myself, I want to be able to protect this design and allow others in a similar position to protect theirs.
