Because I want to go back there I went there in 1991 and I loved it made friends felt secure and I even had a lovelife from there I miss not being there it has up set me to pieces and I never fill good out doors any more I only fill in place when I am there. I fill out of place anywhere else So this is the place for me and I will fight any Council rule books and Laws until I can have it back Give me back the dignity I deserve.

The sure start centre hurst green has been told that they will be closing it down.so we are doing a petitons to save our local childrens centre which is used by many parents and children arounf the local area.please sign the petition so we can get as many signtures to take to the council and show them how many people use the sure start centre.we will also have a petition for people to sign in the sure start centre.without the sure start centre people who use the sure start centre will have to travel to hamsey green or lingfield

Sailing is so widely participated in and offers such a physical, technical and tactical challenge. Team GBR won the first ever Paralympic Sailing Gold Medal in 1996 - it has been a lifeline to some people and it really should be in the Paralympic Games!

A new owner is in the process of taking over the Brighton Hippodrome site. Brighton and Hove City Council (BHCC) gave planning approval to convert the Hippodrome into an eight-screen cinema, restaurants and retail units. We are told that the scheme is not going ahead. Vue Entertainment, the company that was to have operated the cinema, is no longer involved. This means that the magnificent Grade II* listed theatre, designed by Frank Matcham—the finest unused theatre in the country—will be left with no plan to save it other than the one being developed by Our Brighton Hippodrome (OBH). The BHCC City Plan names the Hippodrome as one of the key venues in the city’s cultural infrastructure that should be protected and enhanced ‘for their existing use or potential for such use’. It is long past the time when BHCC should issue an urgent repairs notice to protect one of the most important buildings in the city from further deterioration. Meanwhile, the city council should give its full support to enable OBH to complete its plans for restoration of the Hippodrome for live performance and as a major community asset. With BHCC's backing, OBH will be more able to raise the funding for restoration and will be in a stronger position to negotiate with the site’s owner. A restored Hippodrome would add considerably to the local economy, serving the residents of the city and the county and attracting valuable tourist spending with shows that cannot currently be presented in Sussex. A petition on 38 Degrees in favour of theatre restoration has achieved over 11,500 signatures. BHCC should acknowledge the massive public support for revival of the iconic Hippodrome for live performance—and the preference of most of the council’s own elected members for theatre restoration, if possible. It IS possible. The community can make it happen and the council should help achieve this aspiration. Last Thursday one of the members was missing from the club, this sent the alarm bells ringing and thanks to this community the lady was found on her lounge floor and was able to receive medical attention and hospitalised. With no club who can look out for these members? Whilst the majority of Peel members are able to remain active and independent through services provided at the Centre, as users grow older their needs increase and they often become frailer and more dependent on staff for support and assistance. Working closely with social services and primary care providers we are able to support these members to remain independent and living in their own homes. This lifeline for the members is now under threat

It is a vital service for elderly people with Dementia/Alzheimer's and should stay open. This centre is situated in Ainsdale, Southport. It is the only Dementia specialist care centre in a catchment area of approximately 150,000 people. The council proposes to close it and move everybody across to another centre. This unit with specialist trained staff provides a day care service for older people with Alzheimer's and Dementia and deals with cases from early onset to the later stages of the illness. It provides a vital life-line for carers giving them the required respite whilst being assured of the safety, health and well-being of their loved ones at the centre. The centre is geographically perfectly placed in the middle of the areas it services. We are petitioning the London Borough of Southwark to stop destroying trees, open spaces and graves in Camberwell Old and New Cemeteries and make the cemeteries nature reserves. Southwark Council is destroying the woods and graves of Camberwell Old and New Cemeteries for the largest grave mounding and excavation project in UK history. Southwark Council is destroying 12 acres of woodland, mounding over tens of thousands of public graves then excavating every grave over 75 years old for 'new' inner city burial. These woods are the lungs of London. These graves are our history and our heritage. We want the Camberwell Cemeteries saved and declared Local Nature Reserves, as Nunhead, Highgate, and Tower Hamlets Cemeteries now are, with the graves and monuments protected with respect for the dead, and woods for the living.

The Endsleigh Centre has been at the heart of Hull’s community since 1901. It epitomises the very reason why Hull was chosen to be the City of Culture 2017. It hosts events such as theatre productions, live music, dancing, yoga as well as residential retreats, support groups and conferences. It also provides superb bed and breakfast accommodation. People from all over the world visit and stay at the Endsleigh Centre, making it a true, cultural, melting point, where life-long friendships are made. Everyone is made to feel very welcome here whatever their beliefs and backgrounds are. The Endsleigh Centre also continually fundraises for those in need – currently doing so for schools and hospitals for the poor and destitute in Kenya. They also train local people in Peru in the art of making craftwork which is then sold at the Endsleigh Centre. The Endsleigh Centre is located in a beautiful historical building with extensive gardens which include a memorial that provides sanctuary for grieving parents. Apart from the great building, what’s different about the Endsleigh Centre, and its greatest asset, are those who work there. They go that extra mile to make the accommodation feel like a home from home and to make sure working days go ahead without a hitch during conferences. They really do care about their guests which is not something you can say about many venues. I have had the great pleasure of regularly staying over at the Endsleigh Centre over the last two years, as well as booking their conference facilities for work. It is this personal experience that has convinced me of the centre’s immense value to the local community! Such a historical site should not be open to potential land “development”! How could any new, possibly faceless, ‘luxury apartments’ compare to this beautiful building? Vodafone customers are unable to limit cellular data usage. When contracted limits are reached Vodafone sends a helpful text to advise that it will charge you for exceeding the limit. Fair enough - BUT - customers cannot opt out and self-limit until the following months allowance kicks in. Most smartphone apps and operating systems are very data hungry, even when operating in the background and not in actual use, so data allowances can be consumed without realising. Parents who fund a child's phone for safety and security reasons find this particularly stressful and difficult. Commercially it's obvious why Vodafone apply this policy - to make additional profit - but it is morally questionable if one party to the contract agreement has no power to limit charges beyond what was contractually agreed under circumstances often beyond their control. Other mobile operators have recognised this and allow limits to be self enforced, Tesco Mobile is one such responsible operator. So should Vodafone. "Always here for you?" is their service strap line "Always here to fleece you" would be more accurate.

We ask the following: That Harrow council does not close down or eradicate the functions and services of our public libraries in Harrow, one of the last community amenities left in the borough. We believe that libraries are the embodiment of social provision and community spirit they offer more than just books. They offer children's activities during term time and holidays. These are used by parents and nurseries. Libraries are a great hub for the digital society we live in they provide access to the internet to those that do not have access in their homes. They are centres for study and reflection: they are places of peace for students and residents to study. They are venues for training and education and a haven for old aged pensioners who wish to get out of the confines of the home. Knowledge is an inalienable right for all who live in Harrow. This is true for all walks of life and should be accessible universally across the whole borough. We are concerned that the threatened closure of libraries will leave sections of our communities with poor access to libraries than others. We believe a modern library can be organised and funded through a variety of avenues and that Harrow council should investigate the commercial potential of libraries before decisions to close or limit access is taken. Please sign this petition if you believe in the universal provision of literature, education and community service in Harrow. Say no to this great social asset. Educated citizens of Harrow are the greatest asset to Harrow. This petition will be handed to the mayor of Harrow before any Decision is taken on the future of our libraries.

This is a community asset in a deprived section of the city that is used by the public and organisations which, will be displaced from Derby Arena for concerts, pantomimes, exhibitions and more. It forms part of a well used hub where parents/family members can all partake of differing sports at the same time in one location. This will not be possible if you close it or reduce its size and will lead to parents being forced to choose one child's activity over the other. It is easily accessible from all areas and has ample parking.

Senior citizens and disabled people are trapped in their homes and there is nowhere on the streets for them to sit in the sun or to communicate with others or even to rest if they need to.
