• Sharp disposable bins
Syringes are not only unpleasant to see lying around, they could have infections on, never mind the obvious they have traces of drugs, witch could be fatal if a child or animal come in to contact with them.

  • Petition for the urgent reopening of Clovenstone Community Centre
As the only remaining Community Centre in the Wester Hailes area it is a vital hub, providing a safe welcoming space for people to meet and interact, where they can make new, and strengthen existing community bonds. We have never needed the facilities more than now, and would urge the council to consider reinstating their staff to run groups within the centre, in the same safe and considered way as their staff in schools.

  • Make National Theatre Live available to ALL
Recently, The National Theatre provided NT at Home to keep us entertained during lock-down. It was available to all, including those who are never able to visit a theatre or cinema. The easing of lock-down and the return of National Theatre Live to (some) cinemas, means a return to the exclusion of many.

  • Wooton cinema
It would mean a lot to me as this cinema is one of the oldest in the United Kingdom and if it goes we again our losing apart of history in they area this cinema has been here for 93 years and as announced it is closing its doors for the final time which would not only be a shame as the history in the building alone as the movies this cinema has shown over its 93 years

  • Regenerate Squire St
This street has been an eye sore for years. It is targeted by fly tippers, litterers, criminals and is an environmental issue with many rats often spotted. It is pulling down prices of houses costing home owners thousands and making it harder for people to get insurance. The people of Whiteinch should not be left behind anymore whilst Partick and other areas are being redeveloped.

  • New statue in Bristol
It would be a fitting memorial to the African slave trade and a recognition that the wealth of the UK and cities like Bristol was created directly from the persecution and enslavement of other human beings.

  • Properly fund Community radio
Community Broadcasters provide a platform to impart information, they are manned mostly by unpaid volunteers and provide an essential service to local communities. Commercial broadcasters are now centralising their programming, resulting in fewer local information sources.

  • Say No to Outside Seating at the Duke of Buckingham Pub Old Portsmouth
    1. Anti-social behaviour associated with the pub is an ongoing problem that the Landlords do not adequately deal with in a quiet residential neighbourhood close to schools and sheltered housing. We believe the proposal will make worse the noise, littering & intimidatory pavement blocking already occurring at a time when social distancing is mandatory. 2. The Safety of drinkers and residents will be impacted with seating placed on the road in parking spaces & at the rear in the public highway turning circle on a very quiet residential street. 3. The proposal takes scarce parking spaces from local residents.

  • Keep BBC Local Radio in England “local”.
Over the last few years communities across the UK have lost their local commercial stations which have in effect been replaced by national stations with bare bones local opt outs at breakfast. BBC are now the main provider of truly local radio across the UK, providing news and information relevant to your local area, specialist music programmes, and programmes that cater for minority audiences. It seems when cutbacks are made at the BBC local services always seem to be hit first. Sadly the current proposals seem to be drastically eroding the local service and the fear is that over time this important service will disappear all together.

  • Delay the opening of pubs and clubs untill after pandemic has passed
This is important because as a nation we are still recovering from covid-19 and its way to early to allow pubs and clubs to open or sell alcohol until the pandemic is over. Most people can control them selves but you always get those who can't and will drink to excess and get drunk these intoxicated people will then get loud, disorderly stop social distancing and even start trouble like get into fights, and that's how the pandemic could get going again because at least a few of those people will have covid-19 symptoms and it only takes one or two spreading it for a few days to force another lockdown. This would also put pressure on police and the NHS who could do without having to deal with intoxicated people arriving in A&E when they could be helping people who rally need it, its to early to be doing this.

  • Lift the alcohol ban on Glasgow's streets and parks
This has always been an attack on Glasgow's working class. Not everyone can afford to go to the pub and not everyone has a garden. Yet, we are unable to drink alcohol in a park or on the streets like we see in Edinburgh. This is particularly damaging in the current Covid crisis. We must lift this ban to ensure people can enjoy what little freedom we have right now. We demand the same rights as Edinburgh. We are tired of being branded criminals for exercising freedoms while posing no risk to others.
