• Stop Landlords Profiting from the £9Bn Housing Benefit Crisis
Like many of us, I watched the recent airing of a BBC programme "The Week the Landlords Moved In" and felt a combination of sadness (for the tenants) and anger that Private Landlords - not all of them unscrupulous - profit fantastically from the Housing Benefits system. This is, after all, yours and my tax-payers' money that's being handed over, so let's make sure it's being put to better use and delivering value for money for all of us. It cannot be right that our hard-earned taxes are enriching that select few through the housing benefit system. If there are any financial surpluses created through these payments, then surely they should be channelled back into creating more Social Housing for those that need it.

  • Stop the sell off of 'NHS Professionals'.
Private agencies providing nurses , doctors and other health workers charge roughly 15 to 30 % more to provide 'agency' and locum staff. This represents a huge burden on the NHS finances , especially so given staff shortages generally. Recent news reports suggest that Jeremy Hunt has proposed a sell off of the NHS own in-house agency, NHSP, (NHS Professionals),leaving the Department of Health with a small minority share of any new company. Furthermore it would seem that this is being undertaken at a time of year when. Parliamentary scrutiny is less likely to occur, being 'slipped in ' during the summer recess. At the very least it is important that this is now put on hold to give an opportunity for plans to receive full public scrutiny. NHSP is an important arm of the NHS, providing valuable services in house and saving the NHS and taxpayer large sums of money. At a time when private agencies themselves have been subject to concern, the role of NHSP should be strengthened and not undermined. NB "NHS Professionals (NHSP) helps the health service in England tackle its staffing crisis by arranging for doctors and nurses on its books to cover shifts, to avoid gaps in rotas that could threaten patient safety. Labour has asked the National Audit Office to look into why Jeremy Hunt, the health secretary, is selling off a profitable and effective company owned by the Department of Health". • Money back on rubbish collection
Not very healthy to have those rubbishes on our streets. Not very respectful from council. No consideration for the public. Save the binmen jobs and no cut.

  • Restore A&E 24/7 at Weston General Hospital
Currently A&E at Weston General is closed between 10pm and 8am. Seriously ill and injured people are being taken over 20 miles to Bristol or Taunton. This puts patients health under grave risk and fatalities are inevitable due to the time it will take to get people to a functioning A&E.....if an ambulance can be found.

  • Broken Promise
When I was growing up it was instilled in me to NOT make a promise I couldn't keep. So far you have ignored my emails and tweets on this matter. I thought you were different I believed in you.

  • Stricter border controls.
Everyone who resides in the UK should make their contribution to it's upkeep. Forcing tax evaders to pay up might even furnish enough cash to lift the public servant's (Including yourselves at the Border Force) pay cap.

  • making Surrey cleaner
if streets are cleaner it encourages a healthier atmosphere that promotes an idea of community. In addition we think pollution is a massive issue in towns and cleaning up this issue would mean people are more aware of this global issue.

  • Public Sector Executive's Pay
2 reasons: 1. The BBC have had to publish salaries because they are publicly funded. Similarly the NHS is public funded and we should know how much Executives are being paid. 2. There is an on-going discussion/debate regarding NHS Finances and Staff Pay is always highlighted, but never Executive Pay and we should know if they too are being limited to 1% pay rises.

  • Save Our North Derbyshire Hospitals
Due to government cuts Hospitals around North Derbyshire are being closed. Our standpoints should be taken into consideration due to the harmful effects which would occur if this beneficent petition were not to be signed. Factors such as travel would become problematic especially for the elderly relatives having to use public transport in rural areas such as Bakewell and surrounding villages. The staff would have to be relocated perhaps to a less convenient area which may extend their working day and affect their life/work balance and would cost more in travel. Overcrowding would be seen in the larger hospitals which would have a drastic impact on waiting times. These are just some of the multiple problems North Derbyshire would face in the shutting down of some of their many hospitals. To also show support it would be very beneficial if you would come to the meeting in the County Hall in Matlock at 7pm on the 24th of July.

  • Wipe off the parking ticket fines from NHS staff. And allow free parking for the future.
NHS staff are vital in the UK. They save lives and shouldn't be penalised for it. There is no justification why they should be charged were they park their car using private car park companies in fines. It's disgusting to think it's actually happening. Needs to be resolved.

  • Challenge the touch taboo and encourage safe touch in schools and care settings
Affective touch is a powerful medium for conveying empathy between people, for example when acknowledging that a child is highly successful, anxious or upset. A large body of recent neurobiological and psychological research clearly demonstrates that affective touch activates a crucial nerve system in the skin of all mammals that defends against stress and promotes feelings of well-being. A lack of touch is linked to less ability to cope. Safe touch also promotes discussion about what is not safe or wanted by other people.

  • More peak time carriages
The travel conditions are worse than the underground. We are squashed in like cattle taking up isles and all areas. We have the right to a seat for what we pay or to be able to at least stand comfortably.
