Schools in Merseyside are being affected by their budgets right now!As a student in bootle I can see how our schools our being affected everyday and they are having to make hard decisions to cut things from our school to save money. For example, my school has had to get rid of a reward system recently due to the high cost and the money needing to be spent elsewhere. Therefore this will have a bad affect on students behaviour, causing disruption and not helping within the community either. As well as this I have saw my school cut the numbers of teachers such as 3 geography teachers to 2 even though it gained popularity as a chosen option. Finally, not only teachers are being sacked but subjects are having to be lossed such as food technology, this means students who want a career path towards things like cooking will be made harder as getting onto further courses might require this gcse. This needs to be adressed how our young people are being hindered by money and can not do the career they want to enjoy in the future due to cuts needing to be spent in main subjects which are also struggling.4 of 100 SignaturesCreated by John Mcgarvey

Ban dogs from the playing field (next to the school) - ChudleighThe green space next to Fore Street Play Park is used by school children throughout the day as well as for recreational use outside of school hours. But the dog mess left on the grass is a constant problem despite it being an area regularly patrolled by the Dog Warden and covered by CCTV. Unfortunately bins and notices fail to make any difference - the people who allow this to happen, do not care. Dog mess carries incredibly toxic bacteria which among other things can cause blindness. To have this space dog free would allow children to play freely without the constant worry of stepping in/falling in dog mess. There are many places dog owners can go to exercise their dogs without using this space. It would not be detrimental to the town, considering the fact that Chudleigh is surrounded by green space, all within a few minutes walk from any where in the town.62 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Chudleigh Mum

John Masefield High School UniformThis is important because there are a lot of students being picked on for their body type not allowing the school skirt to reach the knee and also the price of the uniform is 4 times the price as other uniform and it's very scruffy, not smart at all. On top of there are students being isolated because of the skirt not fitting them and trying to force them to buy a new skirt that doesn't fit them; which I think it very unfair. To make us look smarter I think we should have shirts, ties and blazers. If people want affordability for uniform shirts, skirts, trousers and ties should be able to be bought at supermarkets so it doesn't cost as much for low income families.187 of 200 SignaturesCreated by Ruby Standen

Get fair interest rates for student loansStudents are currently paying 6.1% on the loans they take out so they can complete their education. TO put this in perspective, the government and large banks can borrow money at 0.25% interest. A 6.1% interest rate means that graduates will have to earn £55,000 a year just to keep up with the interest and prevent their loans getting larger. Its completely unrealistic, unsustainable and unfair. Its inevitable that most loans will never be re-paid and a generation will be saddled with un-payable debt. Interest rates are this high because the government has sold the debt on to private companies who hope to make a profit on young people trying to get an education and make their way in the world. We need people to go to university. We need a highly skilled workforce to drive the economy and tackle the urgent problems of the 21st Century with the creativity and innovation that Britain is known for. There is no excuse for charging students 24 times the base rate of interest. Ask Jo Johnson, Universities minister to ensure fair interest on student loans now.19 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Sarah MacDonald

Ban social media from under 16 year oldsTo safeguard all children who fall into this catergory. Open and free access to social media of this age group is opening up access to paedophiles and is currently leading to vile and sickening acts being carried out by these sick people. We need to put a stop to this now before more children fall victim and have their lives ruined. The world will then lose the ability to have real time interaction with real children which is what needs to be done.152 of 200 SignaturesCreated by Lucy Fletcher

Sponsorship for those who have committed on the basis of being able to pursue a career. Many of us who come from Australia and other Commonwealth countries moved here on working holidays and found a career. We are invested in the company and have been for a long period of time. Over the past years we've built lives, friendships and relationships which we do not wish to end or leave over this. We would be more than willing to agree to long standing contracts if it is what it takes, but we feel as it was promised and mentioned to us as a way of getting our commitment that it is now owed to us in a way. We love our jobs and our pubs and this is why we made a commitment, because we thought we could grow within the company and someday head these pubs.150 of 200 SignaturesCreated by Louis Lamarre

parents who hold parental responsibility should both provide equally for the upbringing of a childWith the benefits cap having a detrimental impact on families especially those bringing children up alone, action needs to be taken on those parents who ignore the importance of their role of holding parental responsibility and pay the minimum child maintenance, which impacts on the main care giver meeting the needs of each individual child in their care. Action needs to be taken, and consideration should be made into the costs single parents face such as health, education and daily activities to promote social skills. These costs should be met equally by both parents who hold Parental responsibilities. The new child maintenance system is failing so many families and leaving them facing severe financial hardship. Child maintenance doesn't take into account the £350 each year spent on buying new school uniform or school resources. Nor do they take into account the rise in child care costs or the weekly recreational activities that children undertake. The main caregiver is the one struggling to make ends meet ''robbing Peter to pay Paul'' to pay bills as tax credits and child benefit don't take into consideration the additional costs that these parents make to meet their Child's everyday needs. Both parents should equally pay for these everyday needs130 of 200 SignaturesCreated by Natasha Turner-Dale
