Save Clay Cross HospitalThis hospital was built several years ago to support the local area, the building hosts all types of day clinics etc. One ward has been closed for a long time, and now the trust are looking to close down the other ward. In the past people have been discharged from the main hospital to here, one step closer to home. Its been well looked after and is very modern inside, plenty of free parking. The nearest Hospital is Calow which is 2 bus rides away, so it is vital to keep this hospital open for local people. You can read about the plans for better care closer to home at the following link http://www.joinedupcare.org.uk Please support the staff and nurses to keep their jobs, and the hospital open ! My question are we going back in time?1,040 of 2,000 SignaturesCreated by KL Rouse

Calverton BMX Track Idea Needs Your Support!A rusty, dangerous and abandoned skate park sits on the park. A BMX track would be a perfect project for this area. Making the park a place where people can ride/race BMX. This would give kids through to adults a new experience. With local success from Connor Williams racing BMX in the British BMX championship this year. A track would be recognised as a home track for him and others that race from Calverton for training and potentially racing. A BMX track would bring people from all around the midlands and the country to race. Also there is a lot of interest and support from other local residents saying this would be a great idea giving the younger generation something to do and keeping them off the streets. With Hucknall and Bulwell having a track already why can't Calverton. The Saving of Bradwell hospital community bedsWe feel this closure of our community care beds is detrimental to the well being and health of our aged population.Whilst we agree in theory to the strategy of 'My care,My way, home first',we have grave doubts as to the feasability to be able to achieve this safely with the current lack of community and social care provisions available.4,237 of 5,000 SignaturesCreated by Sharon Emery

Save Shotley Bridge Community HospitalShotley Bridge Community Hospital serves tens of thousands of people in North West Durham The nearest main hospital is 13 to 14 miles away, and this regional facility, which was once a huge teaching hospital, though now reduced, to a shadow of its former operation is, nevertheless, a lifeline to many residents in this vast area of County Durham. The facility is very well used by people from all over the area, and acts as an overspill for the main hospitals within this North East area..The Facilities it offers include: Ophthalmic care, provided by the RVI in Newcastle. Audiology - X-Ray - Endoscopy & Colposcopy - Oncology - Diabetic - Podiatry - Physiotherapy - Day Surgery - Out of Hours - General out-Patient - and Minor injuries - Units and facilities are provided by University Hospital Durham and other Hospitals such as Darlington ...It would be too great a loss, for the people of this area, and to lose it, would engender great hardship for many!.. It would also increase waiting lists and times, in the main hospitals, which are already overstretched….The extra cost and burden, which would be imposed upon the health service, would most assuredly, prove to be cataclysmic!... It is up to all of us, to fight this purported closure... Indeed, for the sake of the sale, of a piece of land, on which a few houses would eventually be built!... A whole community, is going to be made to suffer, and that, is neither justifiable, nor right!....... Please fight to retain Shotley Bridge Community Hospital!...... The area, and the people in it, will surely be, much the worse, for the demise of this excellent facility!...To lose it, is too big a price to pay, for too many peo5,708 of 6,000 SignaturesCreated by John Hopper

Dumfries and Galloway New HospitalThe people of Dumfries and Galloway should be fully consulted and given the choice to name the hospital as this fits with the Scottish government strategy to empower communities and enable them to be more involved in the matters which are relevant to how the community is perceived. This is an important time and the hospital will reflect a new era in health and social care in the region9 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Euan Macleod

Stop MHRA Removing CBD Products From Sale! Patients Will Suffer!Whilst we welcome the move to schedule CBD as a medicine following clinical trials, it must be understood that completely removing it from the market with only 28 days notice is not sufficient time for patients to find alternative ways of maintaining their health. CBD is well documented through clinical research to be non-toxic and non-psychoactive and has no recorded negative side effects in humans, as well as being a powerful anti-inflammatory, anti-spasmodic and anti-epilepsy drug. This move will lead to more vulnerable patients buying untested CBD products on the illicit market, potentially bringing them to more harm or falling prey to unscrupulous cannabis oil scammers as it is an expensive product. Thousands of patients with hundreds of medical conditions ranging from acute to life threatening rely on CBD as a safe and non-toxic form of medical and therapeutic treatment. Patients who are buying CBD products have conditions such as Multiple Sclerosis, Parkinson's, Alzheimer’s, Crohn's Disease, Epilepsy, Fybromyalgia, Arthritis, Anxiety, Depression, Cancer, Polycystic Ovary Syndrome, Elhers Danlos Syndrome, and Chronic Pain. We petition the MHRA to please consider other means of approving CBD products so that patients do not suffer the consequences of this decision whilst stricter regulations are decided upon. Stop Bounty on the maternity wardsBounty are a commercial organisation and have for too long been allowed free access on to the wards of maternity hospitals. They are allowed to walk on to the wards even during times when the patients familys and friends can't even be there. They are allowed to open curtains on wards and go into bedrooms regardless of how vulnerable these women and babies are. It's an imposition on women and babies on the wards and it's appalling that it has been just accepted as standard. No one should have this kind of access that isn't there on a medical basis. Please share your stories if you wish. Let's see just what a negative impact this is on pregnant and postnatal mothers and how much of an imposition this is on women and their birthing experience. Save our NHS Services in DorsetThe proposed closures will reduce the accessibility of much needed NHS services to our communities. It will put added strain on services that are already stretched. Journey times to accident and emergency units and special care baby units will be increased for some communities, putting lives at risk. There will be added strain on the ambulance service. All closures will reduce accessibility for families and friends who wish to visit their loved ones, particularly as many sites are not well served by public transport. There will be added strain on an already stretched infrastructure across the county. Mental health services are already under funded with a shortage of inpatient beds in Dorset Psychiatric Hospitals. People have been known to have been conveyed by Private Ambulances to Private Hospitals in various parts of the country- sometimes hundreds of miles from their home, family and/or support network. Dementia services are vital in supporting those living with the condition and their families to live as independently as possible. Please see our website www.keepournhspublicdorset.com for further information. Join us on Saturday 15th October for a public demonstration.279 of 300 SignaturesCreated by Keep Our NHS Public Dorset *

Make more hospice care availableMy mother died on 6th October of cancer. Instead of spending her last weeks in a hospice where her pain and nausea could be controlled and she could spend her days in peace she was in a crowded, noisy, stressful hospital ward being served unsuitable food she couldn't eat without vomiting and suffering pain. Last year MPs rejected the Assisted Dying Bill saying end of life care provision was good. They were wrong. Despite great compassion from the ward staff, my mother's last week was not a peaceful one because the local hospices are overstretched and could not offer her a bed in time. For the last seven weeks of her life she could not sleep because of the nightly shouting of patients who should have been in psychiatric or dimensia specialist care. This is not acceptable in the fifth richest country in the world. I ask MPs and the Departmenr of Health: is this how you would want to spend your last days?54 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Fiona Holland

Save Wirral and Chester hospitals. We believe that hospital closures and mergers have a negative impact on services provided and patient care. This proposed merger will result in a reduction of staff, available appointments and operation availability. There will be no maternity provision on the Wirral at all. One hospital instead of three will result in fewer beds being available. We already know the problems experienced in these hospitals at times of high demand, and this will be further worsened. We believe that merging hospitals will reduce the number of staff required, impacting on areas already suffering from economic deprivation and high levels of unemployment and poverty. Increased risks of fatalities due to the transport problems frequently experienced in travelling on the major road routes from Wirral and Chester to Ellesmere Port. Increased travelling time and distance will make being sick or disabled even more of a financial hardship than it already is. Travel can already be problematic for people with numerous or frequent hospital appointments and this will again negatively impact on patients wellbeing.1,381 of 2,000 SignaturesCreated by Mel Guilfoyle

Stop the Closure of Deer Park Medical CentreDeer Park Medical Centre is a GP Practice providing an excellent service to a large number of people in West Witney due to close on the 3rd November 2016. It is currently being serviced under contact to Virgin Care. Whilst many of us do not agree with the privatisation of health services, Virgin are undoubtedly providing a good service. Whatever it takes to keep this practice open must be done. You cannot seriously consider allowing it to close. Other GP practices in Witney are already badly overstretched and waiting times for an appointment are often measured in weeks. This is not the case at Deer Park, I am a patient and have never had to wait more than days, also they operate walk in clinics for urgent cases. Please don't use the people of West Witney as political pawns in this dangerous game.573 of 600 SignaturesCreated by Steve Johnson
