• Revenues from new sugar tax should be spent on UK children.
According to Barnados, there are 3.7 million children living in poverty in the UK. Clearly more needs to be done. It is important to public confidence in the government, that the government is seen to prove that it has the welfare of children at heart and is not just seen as using children's health issues just to raise tax revenues.

  • Scrap Council Tax
Council tax is unfair because it doesnt take ability to pay into account but is based on the value of your home not your income.

  • Reinstate the SNP whip to the brave MP Michelle Thomson
This MP has demonstrated the highest level of integrity and bravery we should demand from our representatives. Denial of the SNP party whip is now an embarrassment and should be rectified as a matter of urgency.

  • Make Employee Representation on Company Boards Law
Dear Theresa May, Please can you help UK industry and their Employees to have greater Success, Collaboration, Flexibility, Security and Speed of Business Decisions by ensuring we have Full Employee Representation in the Boardroom. Success • Throughout Europe the most successful companies have Employee Representation directly engaging with the company by participating in board meetings. • Company success is aided not hindered by Employee Representation. Collaboration • Employee board Representation leads to collaboration and avoids industrial disputes. • It is truly a Win-Win situation. • Collaboration between the board and the employees removes many elements of the current "them and us" attitude of UK companies that often leads to outcomes that neither the company nor employees want. Flexibility • Employee board representatives are very often more creative and flexible with their demands. Knowing the challenges facing a company they will often ask for improved investment or help develop restructuring proposals instead of a pay rise knowing that this will help the company. • Currently unions predominantly campaign for increased salaries as they have no insights to the company pressures and direction. Security • In the light of Brexit it is now more important than ever that Employee board representatives are able to work with management to ensure operations are not moved off-shore without a meaningful set of discussions.. • Flexible Employee Responses can be worked on to enhance job security. Speed of Business Decisions • Employee board representatives participating in board meeting discussions are able to formulate responses ahead of a hard company decisions. This means that consultation occurs before a hard decision is publicly declared and prevents company back tracking and face saving that wastes time and effort.

  • Strip Eric Bristow of his MBE
The government must make clear that attacking abuse survivors is not tolerated. Condoning his behaviour could discourage other victims from reporting abuse.

  • Consign gender imbalance @ Westminster to the dustbin of history.
A 71% male to 29% female ratio of elected Westminster MPs is shamefully unrepresentative of gender ratio in society as a whole. Such a gender imbalance sends out the wrong signal to our children, that unless you look and sound just like a clone of Margaret Thatcher, then you've zero to one in 64.1 million chance of making it to PM of our country. If a bigger building is required don't forget the 71% male dominated Westminster Parliament voted in favour of Trident renewal costing the tax payer an estimated £120 billion. So anything is possible no matter how ridiculous it seems at face value.

  • REFORM THE IPCC RENAMED OFFICE FOR POLICE CONDUCT OPC. www.brightonscandal.org.uk
The Home Office state the IPCC are the only way to hold the police to account. It is of concern that the IPCC are able to block a complaint relating to serious police corruption. As a result of this the police are able to act without fear of prosecution and innocent people are locked up. The IPCC blocked my complaint presented by Simon Kirby MP regarding senior police officers who lied when they stated my brother, Alex, stabbed a police officer in the chest with a very large kitchen knife. The case was dropped when it was proved the large knife to be a small mobile phone. The 'stabbed' Officer, facing near death, became a media hero and received an award. Alex served 15 months in a high security prison awaiting trial. Campaign site includes IPCC complaint, full story, evidence and letters by senior police officers. See 'Brighton Scandal' CAMPAIGN SITE. http://brightonscandal.org.uk/

  • APPOINT NIGEL FARAGE AS BRITISH CONSUL IN ANCHORAGE, ALASKA, U.S.A.
It would settle the current speculation and uncertainty at this crucial pre-Brexit time, about the role and influence the UK government would hope Mr Farage would be able to wield in an important resource-rich part of the USA, where doubtless his persuasion will secure important non-EU, non-TIPP trade deals for the UK. We also believe he would find the political climate, if not the physical, much to his liking, and he could also stand watch against the climate-change brigade in a key geographical area.

  • Demand the UN condemn USA Govt. and force US Federal intervention to stop attacks on DAPL protectors
This will set a trend through the western world that it is ok to beat, shoot and blow up unarmed peaceful citizens of the respective countries. Firing grenades into crowds, whether a fragmentation, concussion or a flash grenade has the potential to kill and is considered lethal force. These are unarmed civilians, not combatants and they are citizens of America being massacred by the Federal Establishment of the USA, much as many other countries around the world have been. Attacks on journalists are also a clear violation of international human rights and the destruction of media equipment shows an agenda to hide the true level of violence being inflicted upon unarmed civilians at Standing Rock.

  • Make Michael Forbes "Trump's Nemesis" Ambassador to the USA
Donald Trump thinks he can choose seven times failed parliamentary candidate, professional bigot and amateur clown, Nigel Farage, to be our Ambassador to the USA. That is outrageous and not his choice. In order to reassert the democratic rights of the British people please install Michael Forbes as the UK Ambassador to the USA. Michael has shown his tenacious ability to stand up to Donald Trump's bullying time and again and as a former Scotsman of the year he has a stronger democratic mandate than Farage. To read up more about Michael's heroic stance see here: http://www.bbcamerica.com/anglophenia/2012/12/anti-trump-farmer-michael-forbes-wins-scotsman-of-the-year-award http://fortune.com/2016/06/22/donald-trump-scotland-golf/ Please sign and share

  • Refuse Royal Assent to the Investigatory Powers Bill
The most important liberty of all is privacy, a right to operate in silence and in peace. Assuming no one is being harmed and everyone is innocent until proven guilty; I'd rank it above the freedom to speak. I wish to admit, but avoid, my republican nature in my argument and I think I can. I wish to remain polite and not be too crude. Unfortunately life is very much crude, and events are rarely polite. I cannot help but notice the masses around me suffering poverty under the guise of austerity. The sheer amount of charities that have sprung up, to cope with public services' duties. I feel this creates an air of "Us First", pitting poor against poor. Whilst those who are supposed to serve this kingdom do so well. This is aimed at our politicians and not a republican's slip. You have a chance to break with tradition and remind the world that "how we've always done it" is a terrible argument for a society that wishes to progress. As I'm sure you are well aware, Royal Assent has not been given in person since 1854 and has not been refused since 1707. I believe that breaking both of these records on the same day would send an important message through the ranks who support this bill, as well as to the people who oppose it. I fear that if you do not, Eric Arthur Blair may become the greatest prophet this country ever created. This comes from someone who hates clichéd tropes.

  • Chagos Islanders will not be allowed home, UK government says
Morality. A small island nation wiped out by the United States of America with the co-operation of their British toadies between 1967 and 1973 when the entire population was exiled. The islanders' territory stolen because of 'strategic importance' (for the Yanks). There is often talk of British 'decency'. It simply doesn't exist, especially when the strings are pulled by Uncle Sam. It's time to stop this outrageous nonsense. Give the Chagos back now. And at least they'd inherit a first class airfield to bring in tourists - Diego Garcia International!
