Better Perinatal Mental Healthcare for Women in Northern Ireland- Research released last year revealed a staggering 80% of areas in Northern Ireland have no specialist perinatal mental health services and there is no specialist inpatient mother and baby unit in the whole of Ireland. - In addition to the devastating consequences to the woman, untreated illness can have adverse effects on child development and long-term outcomes. - There is also a heavy economic cost of perinatal mental illness to our society and public services. Research released last year shows that the long-term costs to society of perinatal mental illness are more than £8bn for each annual cohort of births in the UK. - Nearly three-quarters of this cost results from the adverse impacts of perinatal mental illness on the child. - The extensive scientific evidence, as well as guidance from Nice and Sign show that this will need to include a new inpatient mother and baby unit and specialist perinatal community teams.539 of 600 SignaturesCreated by Michelle Bradley

Primary School TestingThis is important to challenge the claim that children need to pass these tests in order to have successful careers. Other important areas of education, such as the Arts, have to be neglected as teachers are pressured to ' teach to the tests'.26 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Clare Downey

We want world class education for our kidsWe support government's initiative to secure our kids' future, where they have to face global competition in the job market. We support the Education department that there needs to be a mechanism that can be used (a) to identify children needing more help and support in literacy and mathematics and (b) to identify schools that are not performing at expected level. It is important that kids enjoy their time at the school and learn variety of skills. However what's even more important is that they excel at core skills of reading, writing and maths - the foundations of any higher education that they need to be able to compete in this increasingly global workforce. We would like the government to increase their efforts in ensuring that teachers' concerns listened to and addressed, but not losing the focus on overall objective.2 of 100 SignaturesCreated by ParentsSupport KidsFuture

Class 'Britain First' as a terrorist organisation.Britain First are a xenophobic, homophobic, and especially islamophobic far-right militant group who disguise themselves under the mask of 'patriotism'. The group is centred by former English Defence League and British National Party members Jayda Fransen and Paul Golding. Britain First should be classed as a terrorist group, due to their hate campaigns and fear campaigns against minority members of British society such as Muslims, and other religious minorities. The group regularly harass and provoke citizens of areas with a high concentration of minorities, and terrorise workers and administrators of 'satantic' and 'terrorist' locations such as halal butchers, and local mosques. Britain First also want to provoke a race war and a complete cultural divide, arguing that Britain is a 'Christian' country (despite having no religious constitution), and that any aspects of minority religions are not acceptable in British Society. Below is a few attachments of Britain Firsts operations, along with their propaganda machine that is the Britain First facebook page. Stop Criminalising The Homeless Of LeedsBEING HOMELESS IS NOT A CRIME - THESE PEOPLE HAVE COMPLEX NEEDS AND IT'S THE COUNCIL DUTY BY LAW TO OFFER HOMELESSNESS ADVICE AND ASSISTANCE. Homelessness has risen over 50% nationally and it's important to understand that there's going to be a lot more homeless following the governments implementation of the welfare reform. Young people under 21 aren't entitled to housing benefit and Universal Credit is going to cause a huge epidemic in homelessness. We need to start forming solutions to the homeless crisis rather than creating more problems. These yellow & red cards that result in dispersal orders are inhumane; morally wrong and are deteriorating the health and wellbeing of people who are already vulnerable and unhealthy. They are creating more problems for the people; the council and society in general. The homeless are unable to enter the city centre to attend the essential support services they need after receiving one of these dispersal orders and this is downright evil. They need the support services and shouldn't be restricted for sitting down on the floor when someone decides to hand them a cup of coffee; hot food or some money. What's sad is that they're also being taken to magistrates courts when they can't pay fines or adhere to these restrictive conditions that are causing them to deteriorate. How can you ask someone not to go to their doctors? Their mental health worker? Their counsellor? Their day centre? Their library? Their food bank? Their local 'Pay As You Feel' cafe? Their town hall? Their groups? Their workshops? THIS IS MORALLY WRONG TO REMOVE THAT SUPPORT FROM THEM! These people need intervention, not criminalising. They're then brought to magistrates courts, unable to pay fines and are then sent to privatised prisons for profit. This is the key problem. They're now seen as revenue for corporate private prisons. Where they'll work 40 hours per week for £12.50, facilitating operations from tenders with other corporates operating in the prison. This is slavery. According to Professor Crawford "Unless dispersal orders are part of a wider, multi-agency strategy to provide alternative activities and venues for people, the powers merely put a 'sticking plaster' over local problems and invariably fail to address the wider causes." We understand that during times of severe austerity, Leeds City Council can't afford to sustain further alternative support services specifically for those that have had dispersal orders imposed and therefore can't understand their logic behind this evil decision to criminalise the cities most vulnerable. We, the people are petitioning for the complete reversal of this decision and will form a campaign to ensure that the homeless don't receive inhumane treatment from the authorities of Leeds.3,495 of 4,000 SignaturesCreated by Wesley Hall

Demand New Forest MP to use e-mailDr Lewis is the ONLY MP in the house of commons who is only accessible through snail mail, the internet revolution of the last century hasn't made it to his office yet. There is a whole generation of voters who might never have written a letter. By not allowing people to contact him by e mail he is denying the electorate access and a voice to their local MP. Having spent over 10 years working in development in rural Afghanistan I have returned to the UK to discover my local MP is less contactable than an Afghan MP. We should have held some cash back from our 'Afghan democratisation endeavour' to help our local MP get on the web! As the government website itself says "email is a very convenient way for people to communicate" and encourages people to e mail their MP. In the New Forest we are unable to do this. E mail enables fast, immediate conversations with those who should be wanting to hear our voice, not silence it. I am not the first to notice the luddite in our midst http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-3471687/Julian-Lewis-MP-REFUSES-communicate-constituents-online-regards-emails-insecure-prefers-communicate-letter-fax.html Please sign80 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Grace How

Reverse your decision to stop accepting Derbyshire Wayfarer ticketsFor many years the Derbyshire Wayfarer has been a popular and convenient way of exploring the county by bus and train, and is vital for sustainable tourism. The TransPeak route is a useful link between the major tourist centres of Matlock, Bakewell and Buxton. Withdrawing certain bus routes from the scheme makes the ticket less attractive, and passengers are likely to be confused if the ticket is valid on some buses but not others on the same route.13 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Alan Yearsley

Consult on sustainable transport in planning applicationsAir pollution affects us all. Clean Air Southampton recently found that the levels of nitrogen dioxide are 50% higher than the legal limit (there is no safe limit). New developments such as West Quay Watermark will only increase the number of vehicles attracted to the area, increasing the amount of pollution present. Air pollution leads to: around 200 early deaths each year in Southampton; Babies being born with smaller lungs (something they will never recover from); Cancer; and Respiratory illnesses. A significant way to reduce pollution in the city is by promoting sustainable transport. Improving provision for cyclists and pedestrians is a significant part of this.348 of 400 SignaturesCreated by Jenny Barnes

Ban Dangerous Pesticides in AngleseyThe use of glyphosates has already been banned or restricted in 8 countries. It is not acceptable that ourselves, our children and the animals we share our community with are being routinely exposed to these chemicals whether we like it or not. This is a matter of great importance for those of us who care about each other's health and the health of our children, our cats, our dogs and all the flora and fauna of this community. SAVE OUR WORKSHOPS (The disgraceful sale of a village workshops )SAVE OUR WORKSHOPS (The disgraceful sale of a village workshopS ) On the 24th March 2016 in a hotel in Cardiff the small village of Llangynog in northern Powys lost its village workshops that had provided work for its local residents for nearly thirty years and was formally the local village school. It was sold by Powys County Council in the most underhand and suspicious circumstances. This begs questions that must be answered by those responsible for this act of vandalism. This wonderful building and a large piece of land which would be worth a considerable amount of money to an investor was sold at auction for the ridiculous amount of £40,000. The residents of LLangynog had no idea that their village workshops were going to be sold, and both the leaseholders and the local community council only had a few weeks notice that the property was going to auction. The leaseholders were told by the council prior to auction that they had nothing to worry about but the auctioneer sold the properties with leases expired, and with permission to change to residential use. The auctioneer had informed a member of the community who had rung about the sale that he had spoken to Powys County Council and been told that there would be no problem in change of use and that this was virtually vacant possession. The questions that have to be answered are:- 1. Why sell the workshops in the first place when it goes totally against the Welsh government and european policy of regeneration in rural areas? 2. Why were council officials collaborating with an estate agent and discussing change of use in workshops that were already being used for the purpose they were set up for? 3. Why sell them at auction 130 miles away, and why let them be sold for such a ludicrously low price. If the intention was to make money for this inept and bankrupt council then it was a total failure, £40,000 is a mere pittance in the budget of this Council and does nothing to alleviate the cuts to our services.. 4. Why wasn’t a reserve put on 5. Why wasn't the community given an opportunity to take over the buildings and continue running them for the benefit of the community? This is what Sean Harris who uses one of the workshops has to say in a letter to our local community Council:- Having an affordable workshop in the Old School has enabled me to live and raise a family in Llangynog. My children are both fluent Welsh speakers having attended Ysgol Pennant and then, of their own volition - continued in Welsh medium education at Llanfyllin High School, a decision in which we supported them. My first animated film, made in 2004 – a collaboration with the National Museums of Wales, Scotland and Ireland – was made with community groups here in the Tanat Valley including Ysgol Pennant and Ysgol Efyrnwy. It went on to become the subject of an exhibition which toured the three National Museums; so to Dublin, Edinburgh and Cardiff, where it was viewed by over 200,000 people. The project gave young people in our area hands-on experience of technical processes integral to twenty-first century careers – and perhaps, in some way, helped to cement Llangynog's place on the international map. As a parent and educator, I am proud of this - and of the extensive work in similar vein that we have done since. Animation is an established and internationally recognised industry in Wales and a vital part of the resurgent media boom that the Welsh Government has done so much to encourage. Llangynog has an aging population. To ensure that the village exists in twenty years time, I think it very important that future generations should have similar opportunities and, vitally, the facilities in which to implement them – that they may live, work and raise families here that respect and are proud of the Welsh language and culture as I have done. Llangynog Village Workshops are a vital component within this infrastructure. Whilst I respect that these are difficult times, I abhor the shortsighted policies of Powys County Council - and the underhand and slapdash manner in which it has conducted the 'disposal' of a public asset. I am appalled by the apparent failure of the democratic process in relation to this matter. I urge you to do your utmost to ensure that the Workshops remain used in the manner for which they were converted, to question the manner of the sale - and to contemplate the reasons why YOU were not consulted. Thank you for your time. Sean Harris Tyni Llangynog. Powys County Council and its Officers and Councillors should not be allowed to get away with this disgraceful action . Its our lives they have affected and our money they have wasted. Please sign our petition calling for an independent enquiry into the conduct of the sale and asking for guarantees that these workshops will remain used in the manner for which they where converted.471 of 500 SignaturesCreated by Mike Atherton
