• Investigate and prosecute Government officials involved with Mossack Fonsecca
Tax evasion has been estimated to cost the UK between £34bn to upwards of £100bn a year, this is money that is being stolen from our NHS, Schools and other public services. We jail single mothers for fraudulently claiming benefits for amounts that are insignificant by comparison to the people using these tax dodging schemes. The law should be fairly applied to all in society, regardless of their status or wealth.

  • Stop the development of Lords Bushes
Any Ancient Woodland should be preserved and unless an avoidable situation arises and should be preserved at all costs.epping Forest should never be used for building homes on . I can find no notice that this is being done and no admission of this plan has been forthcoming . However a walk around the affected area can show that something other than ordinary forestry work is being done , a very large area is being cleared of healthy mature trees.

  • Help the Brain Family with their fight to stay in the UK
The Brain family having invested their life savings to make a life in Scotland, have been informed by the UK government that they have to return to Australia. The Home Office have given them 28 days as of Friday 18/3/16 to leave the UK, or face deportation and bans on re-entry. This, and the plights of many other families placed in the same deplorable situation, demonstrates very serious shortcomings in UK immigration policy, that people who are here and are making a contribution to our economy, and who want to stay and live here, are being forced out. Over the years, successive governments have implemented a range of measures to repopulate the Highlands and, thankfully these are slowly bearing fruit. Gregg, Kathryn and their 7 year old son Lachlan Brain have done nothing but contribute positively both personally and financially to the UK. They paid over £35,000 for Kathryn's degree, and have paid over £40,000 in taxes during their time here. Both were employed in jobs that took some months to fill before they were employed. They have kept their end of the bargain. Now, without right to appeal, their passports have been confiscated, their right to work abolished, and the Home Office have threatened to freeze their bank accounts and cancel their driving licenses. They do not deserve to be treated like criminals. All they want is for the Home Office to deliver what was promised when they sold everything they owned in Australia to come to the UK - a two year post-study work visa, giving them the opportunity to establish a working relationship with an employer, and a chance at a longer-term visa. Living up to what was promised is not too much to ask.

  • Don't force Chingford Church of England Primary School to become an academy
This school is one of the oldest in Chingford and it has been part of the community for over 150 years. For nearly a hundred years, it was funded by local parish taxes, donations and small fees and since 1944 it has been funded by the Local Education Authority; this is our school. It is our money and our efforts that have made it the well-respected and happy school that it is today. To take control of the school away from the local community and to put it in the hands of the Westminster government or, even worse, a distant and unaccountable academy chain , is theft and an act of vandalism against the history of our town. No two schools are alike. But the government doesn't seem to agree. It wants to rush through plans to force every single school in England to become an academy, the type of school paid for by taxpayers, but run by businesses, sponsors or trusts. It is doing this despite there being no evidence, according to the National Audit Office, that turning schools into academies actually helps to improve results. It is also a process that will cost hundreds of millions of pounds at a time when we are being asked to accept cuts in many services in the name of austerity. Many teachers and parents are already standing against the plans, saying that they are a step towards privatisation۪, ignore local views, and could force some schools to close. One size does not fit all, and local parents and teachers should have a say in the future of our school.

  • Fund Longannet Task Force
The economic impact on both the employees, and those dependant on the local economy, of the closure of the Longannet Power Plant will be felt far and wide. Small local business will be badly hit. There remains no large scale employer in the West Fife area after this closure so regeneration funding is vital to the recovery process.

  • Don't force Archdeacon Cambridge to become an academy
For purely ideological reasons the government wants to force all schools to become academies. This is a very expensive solution to a non-problem; there is no evidence that turning a good school into an academy will make it better. We will lose control in two ways: we will no longer have parents' representatives on the board of governors, and our locally elected councillors will lose all their influence. Instead the school will be answerable to a private company and to civil servants in Westminster.

  • Greedy Holiday Companies
My father booked a holiday this time last year for May 2016, but sadly 6 weeks ago was diagnosed with cancer in his throat. He contact first choice who transferred him to many different departments before he was given two choices. The choices were to cancel the holiday, losing a large some of money with the cancellation policy to claim the remaining money through insurance or they would hold the money for a year and he could rebook. My argument is that these travel companies do not know people's financial backgrounds, how long they have been saving or if the person will be able to work again and holding onto nearly £2,000 that possibly will be needed in the following year is greedy. My father has full documentation of treatment and illness so I think companies should allow a full refund! Also, they do apparently have a 'department' for these occasions but are only contactable via email, I emailed them about this 3 weeks ago and have never received anything back!

  • Protect unaccompanied refugee children in Europe
129 unaccompanied refugee children have gone missing from the Calais 'Jungle' since it was partly demolished in March. 294 lone children remain in the camp, some of whom have a legal right to join family members in the UK. According to Europol, 10,000 unaccompanied child refugees have disappeared in Europe in the past two years. Europe has the resources to safeguard and provide for refugee children living without adult protection within its borders. We cannot stand by and allow these children to fall into the hands of abusers, traffickers or otherwise on our watch. The EU and UK governments must make adequate provision for refugee children who are alone and vulnerable in Europe. Additionally, the UK government must ensure that unaccompanied child refugees with family members in the UK are allowed to join them.

  • Means test winter fuel payments
It is important to start redressing the balance between the benefits enjoyed by older people and those enjoyed by the young, who have suffered many cuts recently. It is also important for winter fuel to be enjoyed by those who need it t heat their homes, and not those who have no difficulty doing so. Winter fuel payment is actually an embarrassment to a lot of wealthy pensioners, many of whom try to return it! Much better that it is claimed by those who need it, not given as a right
