I have found it impossible to register to vote as I live in a Safe House in Bristol. With the local elections happening right now, and the EU referendum coming up, I'm left without a vote, without a voice, without a say on local Councillor appointment, City Mayor, the Police Crime Commissioner position or whether we stay in or out of the EU. My struggle to register made me realise this is a huge issue that no one even realises. As I live in a safe house it is vital for my safety that my name and address do not appear on the electoral register. The current system does provide an 'anonymous registration' process designed to protect vulnerable or at risk people who can't disclose their residential address. However this form requires evidenced approval through proven Court Injunction, written signature from a Police Superintendent or Adult Social Services management. For many in my situation, (estimated at 70% of all residents in Bristol safe houses by support staff here) their registration would not be eligible for sign off. Taking away the civil right, human right that was fought so hard for back in 1918 that introduced the 'Representation of the People Act' allowing women the right to vote. Across England there are over 250 independent refuges providing safe emergency accommodation for people fleeing domestic abuse. Thousands of people living in secure residential accommodation where location secrecy is of utmost importance. Thousands of people who will not be able to register to vote. That is a huge number of women being denied basic Human Rights. The Human Rights Act (1998) states "it is unlawful for public authority to act in a way which is incompatible with European Convention right". Safe houses and refuges by their very nature ensure all residents staying with them are in need of safety and security after leaving abuse. Therefore having management level able to sign the anonymous registration form is more than enough evidence for each residents need for anonymity. We are being forced out by Hounslow Borough Council because this area has become a magnate for developers. Selling over priced glass boxes often to overseas investors, changing the character of this historic part of West London. We are not against change and want to be included in the regeneration of the area. These boats are our homes, much loved and in some cases Nationally reconsidered historic vessels with some of them making valuable contributions to one or both war efforts. - Research released last year revealed a staggering 80% of areas in Northern Ireland have no specialist perinatal mental health services and there is no specialist inpatient mother and baby unit in the whole of Ireland. - In addition to the devastating consequences to the woman, untreated illness can have adverse effects on child development and long-term outcomes. - There is also a heavy economic cost of perinatal mental illness to our society and public services. Research released last year shows that the long-term costs to society of perinatal mental illness are more than £8bn for each annual cohort of births in the UK. - Nearly three-quarters of this cost results from the adverse impacts of perinatal mental illness on the child. - The extensive scientific evidence, as well as guidance from Nice and Sign show that this will need to include a new inpatient mother and baby unit and specialist perinatal community teams.

This is important to challenge the claim that children need to pass these tests in order to have successful careers. Other important areas of education, such as the Arts, have to be neglected as teachers are pressured to ' teach to the tests'.

We support government's initiative to secure our kids' future, where they have to face global competition in the job market. We support the Education department that there needs to be a mechanism that can be used (a) to identify children needing more help and support in literacy and mathematics and (b) to identify schools that are not performing at expected level. It is important that kids enjoy their time at the school and learn variety of skills. However what's even more important is that they excel at core skills of reading, writing and maths - the foundations of any higher education that they need to be able to compete in this increasingly global workforce. We would like the government to increase their efforts in ensuring that teachers' concerns listened to and addressed, but not losing the focus on overall objective.

Britain First are a xenophobic, homophobic, and especially islamophobic far-right militant group who disguise themselves under the mask of 'patriotism'. BEING HOMELESS IS NOT A CRIME - THESE PEOPLE HAVE COMPLEX NEEDS AND IT'S THE COUNCIL DUTY BY LAW TO OFFER HOMELESSNESS ADVICE AND ASSISTANCE. Homelessness has risen over 50% nationally and it's important to understand that there's going to be a lot more homeless following the governments implementation of the welfare reform. Young people under 21 aren't entitled to housing benefit and Universal Credit is going to cause a huge epidemic in homelessness. We need to start forming solutions to the homeless crisis rather than creating more problems. These yellow & red cards that result in dispersal orders are inhumane; morally wrong and are deteriorating the health and wellbeing of people who are already vulnerable and unhealthy. They are creating more problems for the people; the council and society in general. The homeless are unable to enter the city centre to attend the essential support services they need after receiving one of these dispersal orders and this is downright evil. They need the support services and shouldn't be restricted for sitting down on the floor when someone decides to hand them a cup of coffee; hot food or some money. What's sad is that they're also being taken to magistrates courts when they can't pay fines or adhere to these restrictive conditions that are causing them to deteriorate. How can you ask someone not to go to their doctors? Their mental health worker? Their counsellor? Their day centre? Their library? Their food bank? Their local 'Pay As You Feel' cafe? Their town hall? Their groups? Their workshops? THIS IS MORALLY WRONG TO REMOVE THAT SUPPORT FROM THEM! These people need intervention, not criminalising. They're then brought to magistrates courts, unable to pay fines and are then sent to privatised prisons for profit. This is the key problem. They're now seen as revenue for corporate private prisons. Where they'll work 40 hours per week for £12.50, facilitating operations from tenders with other corporates operating in the prison. This is slavery. According to Professor Crawford "Unless dispersal orders are part of a wider, multi-agency strategy to provide alternative activities and venues for people, the powers merely put a 'sticking plaster' over local problems and invariably fail to address the wider causes." We understand that during times of severe austerity, Leeds City Council can't afford to sustain further alternative support services specifically for those that have had dispersal orders imposed and therefore can't understand their logic behind this evil decision to criminalise the cities most vulnerable. We, the people are petitioning for the complete reversal of this decision and will form a campaign to ensure that the homeless don't receive inhumane treatment from the authorities of Leeds.

Dr Lewis is the ONLY MP in the house of commons who is only accessible through snail mail, the internet revolution of the last century hasn't made it to his office yet. There is a whole generation of voters who might never have written a letter. By not allowing people to contact him by e mail he is denying the electorate access and a voice to their local MP. Having spent over 10 years working in development in rural Afghanistan I have returned to the UK to discover my local MP is less contactable than an Afghan MP. We should have held some cash back from our 'Afghan democratisation endeavour' to help our local MP get on the web! As the government website itself says "email is a very convenient way for people to communicate" and encourages people to e mail their MP. In the New Forest we are unable to do this. E mail enables fast, immediate conversations with those who should be wanting to hear our voice, not silence it. The TransPeak route is a useful link between the major tourist centres of Matlock, Bakewell and Buxton. Withdrawing certain bus routes from the scheme makes the ticket less attractive, and passengers are likely to be confused if the ticket is valid on some buses but not others on the same route.
