Stop Subsidised Food and Alcohol for MPsIn the year 2020/1 the cost to the taxpayer for food and drink (including alcohol) consumed in Parliament was over £9 million with £1.8 million being spent on ‘Banqueting’ alone.* This in a time where NHS staff are using food banks and are charged to park in their own places of work. The fact that MP’s have decided that tax payers should subsidise their food and alcoholic drinks, without our direct consent, is utterly scandalous. End all food and drink subsidies to Parliament with immediate effect. * Source https://www.parliament.uk/globalassets/documents/commons-catering/transparency/cost-of-catering.pdf There is a cost of living crisis, one direct cause is the way that the government have behaved. People must not suffer further whilst parliamentarians enjoy cheap food in drink at our expense.47 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Mark Country

Castle Terrace SOS (Sick of Speeders)The residents of Castle Terrace, Berwick upon Tweed are sick of the speeding traffic in our street. These are some of the problems we currently face: 1. A daily gamble to safely exit our drives. 2. Drivers coming off the A1 and think they are still in a 60mph zone. 3. Drivers going too fast to safely negotiate the bend at the station end of the street. 4. Lorries and cars overtaking parked cars narrowing the road dangerously. 5. Cyclists been squeezed into a gauntlet. 6. Pedestrians taking risky crossings. 7. Parents rushing to get children to school on time. 8. Boy racers. Castle Terrace residents have formed a group to take up the issue of speeding in the area. Our local Councillor arranged a speed survey and in the week surveyed, the results unsurprisingly confirmed our concerns of speeding. Here are the highlights 1. Roughly half of all drivers broke the speed limit. 2. Nearly 4000 vehicles exceeded the speed limit 3. The top speed recorded was 75.6mph 4. 40 mph plus is exceeded regularly The survey was taken during a school holiday otherwise the numbers may have been higher.93 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Jean Standing

Stop England going to the World CupWe should be showing the world that we don't subscribe to their idea of how people should be living their lives, at the very least there should be no press coverage, take it off the TV. Qatar is living in the dark ages when there was no football or TV, if they want to hold the World Cup they need to join the 21st Century.5 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Kris Gray

Unenforceable Advisory disabled baysDo you you have Advisory Disabled Bays where you live? Do you have problems finding a space because Non Blue Badge Holders use them? The one place disabled residents need to park, is at home. So why are advisory disabled bays not enforceable? Every day, genuine disabled residents can't park at home because there are inconsiderate residents, who aren't disabled, who park in them. This has such a devastating impact on those who are genuinely disabled. If they aren't enforceable, what is the point of them? All disabled bays should be enforceable, especially, if they are residential because otherwise, a disabled resident can't get home, as I have experienced. I know there are thousands of disabled people, throughout the country who suffer with this problem & the only way we can change the archaic laws is if we stand together to make changes.14 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Liz Wright

Pay residents in residential homes the £400 payment as well as cost of living paymentsTo whom this may concern I am writing this because I feel that people in residential homes are being treated unfairly and should be paid the £400 payment as well as cost of living payments. It is important to help people in residential homes because some cannot speak for themselves so we must do what we can to help them.5 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Matthew Gill

Energy Expropriation?Following the extortionate increases in energy costs, it is clear that those who took government advice and invested in solar/wind power, to assist in the transition to ‘green’ energy are being forced into losses by a disproportionate difference in the unit charge for energy by energy company and homeowner. Having been told my solar would “pay for itself” it is clear that it will not. The increases made by energy companies has not been seen as a comparable increase for homeowners. As governments and energy companies around the World profess to be interested in reducing carbon and waste of energy, it would seem only right that those ‘investing’ in the efforts to improve the Planet should be suitably and effectively recompensed for their involvement. Fairness and a willingness to assure a like for like remittance for each and every unit of energy, transferred to ‘the grid’, should be automatically due. It is imperative that society can feel protected, and supported in their efforts to contribute to the future of our environment. Any suggestion of malpractice or discrimination can only serve to undermine government efforts to provide a better climate, for us all.7 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Andrew Whaley-Coates

Make all classified unnumbered and unclassified roads a 20mph speed limitDue to the increasing number of electric cars that are quiet, pedestrians, wildlife and domestic pets cannot hear them. For safety reasons, I think all residential roads (not A and B roads) should be a maximum speed of 20mph11 of 100 SignaturesCreated by CarolineJane Tipping
