• Stop the lorries in Austwick
To save the village, big heavy lorries will kill Austwick, it's a beautiful, peaceful village, set in the vicinity of the three peaks, loved by walkers and sightseers, used by the infantry for training and the Duke of Edinburgh challenges.

  • Make the Mark Milsome Foundation Film and TV Online Safety Passport Course Mandatory
In October 2020, the closing statement at the coroners inquest into Mark's death, (operating his camera when a car stunt went tragically wrong) concluded: "…Shortly before the execution of the stunt, the risk of Mr Milsome being harmed or fatally injured was not effectively recognised, assessed, communicated or managed…." This course has been researched, written and produced to make sure that no one ever dies on a Film or TV set again because a risk was not effectively recognised, assessed, communicated or managed.

  • Hope For Claire 💜
It's so important we tackle this issue and speak up and change it for the ones that can't speak for themselves. Sometimes you don't know it's happening till it's too late 🥺💗 The police need the power to safely track and deter these animals! I know a girl who was being severely harassed to be told off the police "They can't do anything but build a case".There isn't time for some people in these scenarios! How many more need to lose themselves or pay with their lives when we can try prevent it?

  • Bring back Eco Towns now.
Eco towns should be a major driver, by acting as beacons to improve our carbon footprint, and herald the widespread take up of modern methods of construction. The climate, and housing crisis, is impacting us all. but particularly the younger generation

  • New Emergency Phone Number for Mental Health
North Yorkshire Police have recently reported that 42% of their emergency calls are directly linked to mental health issues and a number of Ambulance Trusts are on record as stating that it could take upto six hours before an ambulance is dispatched. These statistics are extremely worrying and concerning and immediate action is required. Aspire2 believe that a new emergency phone number such as 555 for example would allow the emergency operators to know that (1) a mental health crisis exists, (2) what appropriate emergency response is required and (3) calls can be linked into local mental health professional services. For those people experiencing a mental health crisis or those witnessing a mental health crisis require urgent and immediate help & support which can be life saving. Whilst Aspire2 accepts that there would be financial start up costs the overall and long term benefits would provide an immediate response to those people in a crisis or those members of the public who seek urgent advice. For those who are suffering from mental health & well-being issues this time of year brings added stresses and pressures such as debt, relationships, family, employment, anxiety, depression, thoughts of self harm or suicide. As the UK enters even more uncertainty in relation to Covid - 19 and new variants these issues undoubtedly will become worrying and troublesome adding increased stress, tension and pressure on individuals and families. 'Tracy' a 28 year old was threatening to jump off a bridge into her local river as she wanted to be successful in taking her own life. She was in debt, suffered from anxiety and had relationship issues. Tracy could not see anyway out but end her life. Fortunately, Passers by realised the danger she was in and took appropriate action spending 45 minutes with her until emergency services arrived'. • PROVIDED SANITARY PRODUCTS
This is a significant issue as it affects the majority of students and staff at the university. The sanitary needs for uterus-having peoples at the university are currently not being met. It is imperative that the university understands and accommodates the needs of its students and staffs regarding hygiene and sanitation. Period products are a necessity, but they are expensive. Tight budgets can leave people forced to prioritise other purchases, leaving them without the right period products, without enough period products, or without any period products at all. Women are forced to use socks, newspaper, toilet roll, or even bread to absorb their period. Many will miss out on school or work, or struggle to concentrate fully. Period poverty is an issue that affects 1 in 10 uterus-having students across the UK. This is an urgent issue. We are requesting university funding to meet the needs of the students and staff of the university.

  • Pavement's with potholes - make pavements safer
I Went shopping with my neighbour, avoiding potholes on pavements. Coming off a pavement went down with zimmer & shopping. Luckily my neighbour was there to pick me up, my zimmer & my shopping. Pavements are just as important as roads. I've been in a 3 wheeler zimmer (because legs aren't great). Myself & my neighbour went shopping to nearby Tesco, avoiding potholes on pavements. I went back on the pavement because I knew it was flat to cross the road. Before I knew it, my zimmer, shopping & myself were on the ground. Luckily my neighbour was with me to help. If she wasn't I could have been there till someone walked or drove passed. I've never done a petition before, but what happens if it happens to someone else also?

  • Fine Downing Street Party goers
British law is seen across the world as being fair and just. Boris Johnson and his party going friends has tried to make a fool out of us, our legal system and they have betrayed the people whom they are meant to serve . Mr Johnson and his friends think they can get away with breaking lockdown law in 2020 and the British public will let them. Let’s show them we won’t. Let’s force the Metropolitan police to take action investigate and prosecute the lot of them if it was true. Let’s hit them where it hurts their bank balance!
