Referendum on more powers for Welsh Assembly GovernmentWhen we had the last referendum on more powers being devolved to Wales the question included this statement, which had been agreed by both groups of politicians, AM's and MP's "The Assembly cannot make laws on subject areas such as defence, tax or welfare benefits, whatever the result of this vote.". Since then Ministers in both Westminster and Cardiff repeated that promise of asking the people again before more powers are devolved. That promise has been quietly dropped and so when more powers, such as tax raising powers, are allowed they won't be legitimately endorsed because there has been no opportunity to agree or reject them, another broken promise from politicians.11 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Dave Henderson

Say No to Jericho's Stolen ResourcesThe Dead Sea cosmetic products company Jericho Cosmetics trades from stalls in Aberdeen’s Union Square and Trinity Centre. Dead Sea products are made with minerals illegally extracted by Israeli authorities from occupied Palestinian territories surrounding the Dead Sea. We appeal for a peaceful boycott of all Dead Sea products and for the closure of Jericho Cosmetics stalls on the following basis: 1- The extraction and commercialisation of resources from an occupied territory by the occupant is prohibited by UN resolutions and the Fourth Geneva Convention [1]. This is exactly what Israeli authorities are pursuing by commercialising Dead Sea cosmetics. Notably, Palestinians have no access to such resources. The exclusive access of resources to a section of the population based on ethnicity amounts to apartheid as defined by the UN. 2- The Israeli army has created 4 military checkpoints in the West Bank and has enforced inhumane restrictions of movement on Palestinian civilians. This seriously impairs the life of tens of thousands of Palestinians living in the West Bank, including children, who have to go through these checkpoints every day to reach their schools and hospitals [2, 3, 4]. The Israeli army is also fostering an apartheid culture by stopping Palestinians from accessing the beach resorts while these are being used by Israeli citizens [5]. 3- The Israeli settlements have hijacked the fresh water resources, with the consequence that now some Palestinians are consuming less than 40% the minimum recommended by the World Health Organization. This also means that the traditional Palestinian agriculture is becoming unsustainable [2]. Sustained campaigns in Glasgow, Dundee and Edinburgh have resulted in the closure of Dead Sea cosmetics stalls in shopping centres across Scotland. We urge Aberdeen’s Union Square and Trinity Centre to also distance themselves from the theft of resources and human right abuses by removing Jericho stalls from their premises. Jeremy Corbyn please agree to the suggestion of a progressive allianceWith the Conservative government and Labour Party in disarray we want to use this as an opportunity for profound change. At this pivotal point in history we want you as the opposition party leader to demonstrate leadership and solidarity and work together with fellow progressives. Sharing ideas and vision, as Together we are stronger. We want to prioritise the Earth And the Welfare State. Please be flexible and join together with other progressive thinking parties so we can defeat this right wing growth orientated unsustainable and unequal Conservative government. We want a coherent and strong alternative. Many are choosing far right ideals out of fear and ignorance. They would choose the side of justice and compassion for all if there was a viable alternative. We are desperate to be shown a creative model of flexible thinking. We the undersigned want you to be able and willing to work with those wanting sustainable change. We can work out the details as we go along. Unite together please So that the hegemony of corporate greed, wealth disparity, deep sociological and ecological sickness can be fully addressed. So that the pretence that "all is fine" can cease and we can find intelligent and creative ways to live in harmony with the earth and each other. It would also mean finding progressive ways to work with Europe. The focus of the European Union needs to reconnect to its basis, harmony with each other and the earth and needs to shift from growth economics to cooperation with nature.44 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Victoria Lewis

When candidates make election promises they should do so under oath with real consequencesAll too often we hear candidates making promises or pledges to the population that they have little to no intention of keeping. For example we fund the EU £350 million a week, lets fund the NHS instead promotion from leave campaign, which was abandoned within minutes of the referendum; or the I want to abolish student loans pledges from a few years ago. There are many more examples that can be plucked from history. The people making these claims do so to get themselves into a position of power then abandon them as quick as they can. If a candidate pledges / promises they will do something then they should be held accountable in a court of law for their action or inaction. If a coalition government is formed it would need to negotiate and agree a new hybrid strategy to enable the country to move forward. For too long we the people have been lied to and its time to take the power back.14 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Steve Stewart

Make war a referendum decisionThere are three main reasons for this call and they are as follows: 1. Democracy is what we are proud of in our country and more if it will always be celebrated. 2. The people of the country will be responsible for this major decision giving them more direct power over international interests. 3. War is a final decision for any country to make and that should therefore be made the aforementioned country.7 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Sam Mountjoy

Sunday Voting is Fair VotingVoting on Thursdays as opposed to Sundays is great for old retired folk with little to do, but is clearly not great for busy young people probably working on zero hours contracts and with children to take to, and collect from, school. About 50 other countries use Sunday. Just one other country uses Thursday. See: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Election_day If 2% of the electorate cannot vote it can change the result of a referendum. Sunday Voting is Fair Voting.2 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Miles Stapleton

Parliamentary Elections by Proportional Representation1. The influence of the 2 main parties (both currently in chaos) is reduced avoiding the confrontational debates (- and we can have a new circular debating chamber outside London designed to avoid opposing benches) 2. Minor parties (Greens, UKIP) get fairer representation. 3. The Labour and Conservative parties could split yet still retain their voices. 4.The resulting Coalitions require politicians to COMPROMISE. 5. We avoid being governed by a party which represents a minority of the people.5 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Richard Hibberd

Bar Nigel Farage from all Greene King pubsWhether by accident or design, Nigel Farage has become strongly linked to Greene King IPA. Pubs quite rightly bar some people for their unpleasant or offensive behaviour that upsets decent, well-behaved customers. I'm sure that I and many others were deeply offended and embarrassed by Nigel Farage's recent speech in the European Parliament and would not want to drink in any of your pubs if he were there. Please make Greene King pubs a safe space for decent people12 of 100 SignaturesCreated by John Connett

Stop the TPP and TISA entering the UK by the back doorThe TPP and TISA will give multinational companies powers which are above the Law. Many people voted to get out of Europe because they agreed with Labour veteran Tony Benn and wanted to stop this agreement in its tracks. There has been very little media coverage of agreements like this which gives corporate entities huge legal powers. Open and honest discussion is essential and long overdue.74 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Michelle Little

Ban fracking in Scotland - NOWFracking affects us all - Scotland is beautiful, its our greatest asset and fracturing the earth to obtain natural gas will lead to multiple issues affecting peoples everyday lives. Our water table is at risk, fracking involves drilling and injecting water, sand and chemicals hundreds of feet into the earth. This results in contamination of deep water sources. Climate change, because fracking can seriously damage the water supply, then the whole cycle of water in the environment is affected, this may lead to drought increase. Peoples Health is affected, methane gas in the air, chemical pollutants in the water. There are cancer concerns in areas where fracking has been prevalent. Property affected negatively in fracking areas, insurance companies refusing to insure buildings. Smell of gas in the air. Noise of drilling especially in rural and semi rural areas, affecting quality of life for humans and animals alike. Jobs promised - far fewer jobs than promised Cheap gas - evidence suggests this is not the case There are many more reasons, but let's stop it happening here. Let's stop big business and cronyism benefiting at our expense, stop them by-passing planning and environmental laws to suit their own ends. Stop them ruining our fantastic country. Sign this petition and urge Scottish Government to ban fracking NOW.28 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Paul Nicolson
