Too many innocent lives have been lost - Statistics ref BBC: In 2015 - Some 13,286 people were killed in the US by firearms, according to the Gun Violence Archive, and 26,819 people were injured those figures exclude suicide - There were 372 mass shootings in the US in 2015, killing 475 people and wounding 1,870, this is according to the Mass Shooting Tracker, which catalogues such incidents. A mass shooting is defined as a single shooting incident which kills or injures four or more people, including the assailant.. A third of the worlds gun crime is in America. How can Americans show the world that they are a nation of peace and freedom when you have so much gun crime, within America and unfair documented shootings of black individuals?. The world is looking on - observing America's gun laws with great pity - you do not need guns - to show you're a nation of peace - you need friendship and calm. It is important that the people of Britain stand up for real democracy, and most importantly, we owe someone who died standing up for true democracy justice! Now is the time to stand up for democracy in Britain more than ever before!!

On 23rd June 2016, the Office for National Statistics released distressing data, which shows an increase in death rates of 9% (that's 52,400 people) in England and Wales between June 2014 and June 2015 when compared with data from the previous year. This rise is unprecedented. Never before have we failed our sick and elderly populations to such a degree. The British Medical Journal (BMJ) published the data in an article on 6th July, stating that austerity and economic inequality played a "major role" in this increase. There are now millions fewer social care visits to the elderly per year since Osborne assumed office in 2010 and Jeremy Hunt in 2012. These care packages were seen as playing a vital role in the early identification and treatment of the deterioration in a person’s health and well-being. Public Health England stated that they are observing rapidly increasing mortality rates in the over 75s. These rates are particularly high in “spearhead areas”, which are some of the poorest parts of the country. The BMJ have stated that members of the public with long term health needs such as dementia and other disabilities are suffering the most. Often these are the people among us without a voice. Be their voice and sign this petition to hold Jeremy Hunt and George Osborne accountable for causing the premature deaths of these 52,400 people by inflicting vile austerity measures upon public health services against the wishes of the majority of the British public who value our national health service. We are also calling for a public review of the health budget cuts and privatisation deals that have been and are being negotiated and agreed upon on our behalf. The NHS belongs to us, the responsibility to save it is ours.

For all those soldiers that lost their lives

We were witnessing an important, serious and extremely sombre moment in our nation's history. A time when we are being asked to cast our eyes back on decisions that have led to loss of life, loss of limb and loss of family both here and in Iraq. In addition to the hundreds of thousands of Iraqis killed, 179 British service personnel and 23 British civilians lost their lives as a result of the conflict this country entered into in 2003. The Chilcot Report was commissioned so that we could responsibly, maturely and with gravity look back and reflect on those events and to draw lessons for the future. The families of British servicemen and civilians killed in Iraq have awaited this day for answers, so that perhaps they may find some closure and to allow their grief to finally end. And in that forum, at a time when respect for the dead was of the utmost importance, Ian Austin felt it appropriate to act like a schoolyard bully and to attempt to shout down the moving statement made by the Leader of the Labour Party. Considering that only 72% of the U.K. Population voted in the recent EU referendum and that many voters seemed to have not realised what they may have been voting for it is now time to offer pupils at secondary schools an education in politics. This subject is vitally important to not only empower people to exercise their right to vote but to also encourage younger people to engage in a democratic process that affects their lives in so many ways. A career in politics seems to be exclusive to those who have received a university education and this will further exclude those from less privileged backgrounds. If we do not teach the next generation about the value of politics then we are faced with a narrow minority of our population affecting the day to day lives of the inhabitants of this country furthering the political divide we already have. Vote for politics in all schools!

Iraq is now a failed state and home to terrorist groups such as Islamic State. There is great intolerance between shi'ite and sunni communities which did not exist before the 2003 invasion of Iraq. Many British and American servicemen lost their lives and millions of civilians have been killed,displaced or orphaned.

We have seen politics take a shift in the UK, but I believe if we keep the same old voting system, then real change will not happen. Parliament must be more accountable to the people and the people must feel they can be a full member in the process. The recent ER referendum showed people what to be engaged with issues, but first past the post creates safe seats and people feel disenfranchised and don't bother voting. PR will give people the same connection as the referendum did.

The Brexit referendum result has meant that we, the British people have no idea what our government plans to do on our behalf. We need a say in the changes that are to come about.

Because the UK must now to take steps to begin to function as a sovereign country independent from the European Union, it is only democratic that the people of Britain are given the chance to elect a party who they believe are best suited to run the country following the Brexit vote. The state of the country has changed vastly since the last election and many would agree that a conservative government are not desirable in a post-Brexit Britain. The people must seize back the power by voting in a new election for the government in which they now have confidence.

When we had the last referendum on more powers being devolved to Wales the question included this statement, which had been agreed by both groups of politicians, AM's and MP's "The Assembly cannot make laws on subject areas such as defence, tax or welfare benefits, whatever the result of this vote.". Since then Ministers in both Westminster and Cardiff repeated that promise of asking the people again before more powers are devolved. That promise has been quietly dropped and so when more powers, such as tax raising powers, are allowed they won't be legitimately endorsed because there has been no opportunity to agree or reject them, another broken promise from politicians.
