Request to change speed limit on B6097 Wath road to 30MPHThere have been numerous incidents over the years on this stretch of road and something needs to be done about it now. There are residential areas on this stretch of road, Pit Row and Tinglebridge. It is very precarious on that road currently to put it mildly because of all the blind corners. We propose that 30mph speed limit be put in place from elsecar side before Pit row, round to past junction with Tinglebridge & Tinglebridge Lane.11 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Lesley Cooper

Ask David Mundell to support the Climate and Ecological Emergency BillWe are facing an unprecedented climate crisis crisis and the UK government simply isn’t doing enough. The Climate and Ecological Emergency Bill can help us change our course—making the government act with the urgency we need and involving everyday people in a Citizens’ Assembly that has real bite. If the CEE Bill is made law, the government would have to act fast, accounting for our entire carbon footprint while actively conserving nature here and overseas. The bill could set a precedent that can be replicated across the world. According to They Work for You, a website that documents MP voting records, David Mundell "generally voted against measures to prevent climate change". It is vital that local environmental groups and concerned citizens have the opportunity to convey to David Mundell the severity of the crisis we are facing and to demand his representation in parliament. Encouraging him to support the Climate and Ecological Emergency Bill would be a great start!41 of 100 SignaturesCreated by XR D&G

Save the Thornliebank TSBOn 30th September TSB announced its intention to close 164 branches across the UK, with 73 of these based in Scotland and more than 900 jobs being lost in the process. The branch here in Thornliebank is one of those that has been lined up for closure. This is the latest in a long line of bank closures which have affected East Renfrewshire, making it increasingly difficult for residents to access face-to-face banking services. TSB mention the move to digital banking as a reason for the closure of branches but for many people face-to-face banking services in the local community are absolutely indispensable. This is especially true for older residents and those with disabilities. Alongside this it is vital that our high streets are supported as part of a COVID recovery. This bank closure will leave a building vacant and pull support away from local community businesses. We should also be supporting local jobs like those which will be lost by the closure of the branch. Banks should be aiming to become more embedded in communities, rather than ending local services.80 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Alexander Kerr

Knock down and replace public toilets outside Turnpike Lane StationOutside Turnpike Lane Station in Haringey N8 0DU, there are absolutely appalling public toilets. We are two sixteen year olds who have been living in haringey our whole lives, we live just around the corner from these toilets and they have been completely unusable for years despite multiple promises of improvement. It's not uncommon to see people urinating publicly outside the toilets and they are also highly unsafe especially for women and girls like ourselves. They are also inaccessible for people with disabilities. Crimes relating to drug use and theft have been recorded there. They are, quite frankly, disgusting and need to be replaced with toilets inside the station that are safer and more hygienic. The need for more safe public toilets in London is a very real and significant issue that everyone in our area and the rest of London faces and Turnpike Lane should set an example for what accessible, hygienic public toilets should look like. This is an issue that's been voiced and ignored for years and at this point there needs to be real change. Removing these appalling toilets will greatly improve the appearance and environment of the area and replacing them with toilets that are actually usable will have a major positive impact on the local community and people using the tube station and buses like us and our peers.9 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Eleanor Neilson

Keep Shropshire's solid fuel heatingThis is important for these reasons 1- the quantum heating is too expensive to use. 2- the power goes out several times a year often for long periods 3- parts of the county have no gass connection i myself live in one of these areas leaving us with no source of secondary heating, which south Shropshire housing association said over a year ago was a requirement and that is why they were fitting all there houses with quantome heating and solid fuel burners in the first place.5 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Fiona Stephens

Allowing DJ's to Stream live on Social Media platformsMusic is good for the Soul and for Mental health, producing feel good chemicals that maintain a positive mental attitude. Facebook should allow live streaming of DJ's regardless of copyright because no-one is gaining anything financially by just doing what they love to friends, family and new connections . In this years current pandemic DJ"s have been bringing people together in these troubled times, allowing them to come together in their own homes, whilst social distancing I may add! If people can not listen to a DJ in a live stream session then their mental health suffers along with feelings of loneliness and depression. Facebook needs to allow such DJ's to play without suspending their accounts. Bringing people together in a Rubbish year is not a bad thing. Shame on Facebook for being inconsiderate of people's mental wellbeing. Please sign this petition and show your support for all those small DJs who are just doing what they love with the people who are struggling in this pandemic. Music is a gift to be shared and this should be allowed especially at a time like this!!!!!9 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Polly Simpson

Mortgage help for the unemployed.I saved for years to get a deposit for a house and had very little social life because of that, but that isn't the issue, I bought a house with my wife and had a beautiful talented daughter. I find myself unemployed through no fault of my own but my mortgage payments are not covered by universal credit, my monthly income is less than £300 a month after housing costs. But if I was renting I could get £172 a week more. is that fair? I have cashed in my pension to cover our living costs , but it has run out. Covid 19 has destroyed my chance of a new job for the time being. I am 59 years old and have worked since I was 17. Please support my petition. I hope to be working soon, but many people will not be able too , protect their homes.4 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Lawrence Brown

Reduce the Retirement age back to 65I am a 64 year old HGV Driver. I have to work another 2 years to retire. As I am approaching my 65 birthday I now need to have another medical at a cost of nearly £200 to extend my licence. If the retirement age was 65 I would retire in a few months and free up my job for someone else, this would help unenemployment and would be cheaper than Furlough payments.59 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Peter Scott

National Recognition for Prejudice and OppressionEvents this year have sharpened our thoughts about the need to have a fuller debate about prejudice and oppression within society. The Black Lives Matter campaign has highlighted injustices within society but, more so, in our cultural psyche, which warn against innate and subliminal prejudice against many groups within society. As a teacher of History and Politics, I don't think dwelling on the relevance of statues (as important as that debate is to many), or playing tokenism with Black History Month, World Days etc. is enough. All groups in society who have experienced actual loss and abuse as a result of prejudice and oppression - not just in racial affairs, but every group who has felt shunned - need others to empathise and follow a path of 'allyship'. In doing so, we can begin to defeat inward cultural bias towards minority groups and all those who have suffered as a result of prejudice and oppression. British society rightly remembers its war dead and all those who fought for our freedoms against oppression and prejudice. It is time for British society to also mark those who have suffered in highlighting acts of prejudice and oppression - their own stories which are a central narrative to our history - in shaping not only a tolerant but, also, more accepting society. A society where we can all show the same solidarity we do every year on 11th of November as a mark of respect. This is why a structural change in how we commemorate our history is needed alongside Armistice Day, Holocaust Memorial Day and others. A place of commemoration is also needed. Save Co-Operative Bank Chatham Branch closureThere are very branches of this bank in Kent and closing down this branch will reduce the diversity of banks within this part of Kent. It will remove customer choice and prevent local Co-op bank customers having the option for face to face contact banking within this area.63 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Nicholas Alderson-Rice
