The north side of St Leonards Road has no pavement but numerous patches of vegetation that are left unattended. This makes the area look somewhat shabby and unattractive. Encouraging wildflower growth here would add some much needed colour, stimulate nature and foster a sense of community pride. I have been in contact with one of the local councillors about this intiative, and received the following response: "We do have a bit of work planned over the winter to identify locations where we could relax mowing regimes to allow longer grass to grow. Once we’ve identified the area then there will need to be discussions with ward cllrs and residents about the plans and the implications (we do need to consider safety, sightlines, crossing points etc). Any preparation would then be done in the spring in advance of the next growing season. It won’t necessarily be that we can sow pictorial meadow grass everywhere as this is actually quite high maintenance, although we have already done that in a couple of locations where residents have shown an interest in getting involved." If you feel as I do that St Leonard's Road has been neglected for too long, by putting your name to this initiative we can encourage the council to take action that will add colour and vibrancy to the area.

In recent years dog fouling at Stapenhill Cementary has been taking place on a regular basis. Dog fouling does not only present a significant public health risk but it is also against the law. Perhaps more significantly, the repeated acts of dog fouling at Stapenhill Cemetery causes visitors immense upset, anxiety and ultimately anger when witnessing dog faeces near or even on the graves of their loved ones. These feelings are exacerbated when having clear up the dog mess themselves as it is occurring on such a regular basis. Repeated complaints have been made over the years to East Staffordshire Borough Council, as well as directly to Councillors themselves regarding repeated dog fouling and law breaking which have yielded no results - the dog fouling continues as does therefore pain and anguish for visitors. Throughout the Council continue to charge families thousands of pounds for the 'privilege' of laying their loved ones to rest at the cemetery yet the Council have failed in their duty to enforce the law. It is on this basis that we, the visitors and stakeholders of Stapenhill Cemetery have lost all confidence in the Council's ability to uphold the law and have decided to take action to preserve the dignity of our loved ones that have been laid to rest. We are seeking support from you in this petition to convince the Council to ban dog walking at the cemetery. You may ask "what about the rights of law abiding dog walkers who will be punished due to the act of a few?" We say there are other amenities available for law abiding dog walkers (such as Stapenhill Park which is only 10 mins walk away from the cemetery according to Google maps). Those of you who may think "this does not affect me why should I bother?". Those same words are often reflected upon by visitors who have laid their loved ones to rest at the cemetery. The welfare benefits system has historically been riddled with problems, but more so over recent years. How many more people need to suffer before we realise that it is an unjust, complicated system which punishes the most vulnerable in society, and that the tough sanctions contribute to the escalation of mental and physical health problems, and ultimately to death in the most severe cases? It is morally unacceptable that public money should be invested in them b) divestment sends a clear message to governments and to the companies themselves that fossil fuels will no longer be allowed to continue polluting our world and destroying the health and environment of all its peoples c) divestment would protect the fund from the well-documented risk of falling share value.

For the residents in the area immediately around the site this is going to be extremely disruptive. A 24 hour filling station in a residential area creating more traffic, more pollution and more congestion at busy times. It is unnecessary as there are already two other petrol stations within a mile of this site, one of which is already 24 hour. This Filling Station will not generate many jobs as it will be largely unmanned.

IKEA doesn't just sell furniture it serves food. Having restaurant coworkers drag themselves in to work when they are infectious is extremely dangerous to the public. Do you want to be fed by someone with Covid-19? IKEA's profits are very high at the moment due to a boom in home furniture sales caused by people not being able to go abroad on holiday and by other venues being closed. Therefore this is most probably a case of pure corporate greed.

The ferry prices are very unreasonable for island residents especially in the summer season. We live on an island so rely on the ferries to get off and over to the mainland whether it be for work, medical appointments or to visit loved ones. Isle of Wight wages are appalling enough compared to other parts of the country so therefore why are residents penalized further with the forever rising cost to cross the Solent.

Because it brings business back and gets people to to necessarily spend money but have a sense of normality again. Small start with big benefits.

its important because just like NHS workers,social care workers should be given as much benefit and scrapping of certain things so as to make our lives a bit stress free and able to focus on giving the vulnerable our 1001%.
