• Unlocking a sustainable future
We have seen the benefits that the shutdown is bringing. Wildlife is returning to urban areas and air pollution is reduced. The lockdown has given us time to pause and reflect on what is important. We should not squander this by returning to hectic lives, rushing from place to place and guzzling fossil fuels. Coronavirus has forced us into a green economy and has highlighted inequality between our citizens. We can address both of these during the ending of the lockdown. In order to protect against future pandemics, we must protect the natural world and ensure that our people can work effectively and safely, while ensuring that key workers are valued and fairly compensated for the vital work they do.

  • EDUCATE THEIR CHILDREN
Due to the loss of a parent who was a key worker during the Covid 19 outbreak many of their children will face additional struggles as they grow up. Attaining their education height will be one of these challenges. These key workers died trying to protect the entire country and their sacrifice has to be rewarded. I call on the United Kingdom government to establish a scheme that will ensure that the state takes up the financial responsibility of educating the children of these key workers up till university level.

  • Extend the specialist support for SEN students to allow for the current gap in Education
We the people call upon our Government to help those who are most vulnerable in a similar way to the support offered to business in light of the Covid19 pandemic. To support them for what they may have lost. In the special needs world this is valuable time. Time to build skills , time to look forward to a life of greater independence and happiness. That is why we need your support.

  • Medals for our NHS workers
We need to fully recognise that as much as our Armed Forces go to war to fight, so our Doctors, Nurses and all the support Staff in our Hospitals and throughout the NHS are fighting a war, often putting themselves at risk and many are sacrificing their lives to save us.

  • UK IMMIGRANT KEY WORKERS TO GET PERMANENT RESIDENCE
Migrant workers have played a clear and definitive role in keeping our NHS and public services going during this crisis, and have been doing so since before the crisis began. Without these people, our public services may not have survived. Therefore, they should be granted UK passports for their devoted service to our great nation.

  • Name a hospital after Tom Moore
Tom Moore has not only raised an amazing amount of money, he has also raised the nations spirit and he is a sign of hope and inspiration. What he has done deserves a lasting tribute and I feel that naming a Hospital after this amazing gentleman would be fitting and the least we can do to say thankyou!

  • Extend Job Retention Scheme employee start date to 30th March
Thousands of people have been told they will receive 80% pay from the government, with company’s now withdrawing that offer because the government will only cover employees that have been enrolled in to the PAYE system before the 19th March 2020. People are being left destitute and not being able to pay their rent, bills, food & basic needs. With a 5 week waiting period for universal credit approval this isn’t good enough for thousands of people, that are being put at risk. Q: Who can an employer claim for? A: Employees (which is widely defined, see below) who were: hired before 19 March 2020 and which were notified to HMRC on an RTI (Real Time Information) submission on or before 19 March 2020 and where an RTI submission notifying payment of that employee to HMRC was made on or before 19 March 2020 are furloughed for at least three weeks

  • Corona medals for NHS front-line staff!
When all this is over, issue a special new Corona medal to all our heroic NHS front-line staff, who are demonstrating every bit as much bravery in fighting this battle as military personnel do in war, who would be honoured with a campaign medal. Let's give our NHS heroes lasting badges of honour too!
