• Stop Puppy tail docking
This is an uneccesary procedure. It was banned along with ear cropping why do the Scottish government feel the need to re-introduce this ? It is done when pups are only a few days old Tails are cut off with scissors Puppies cannot be sedated or anaesthetised at that age They cry with pain and it often upsets the bitch when she smells blood on the pups I speak from experience The DIY botch jobs are worse People try to save money and do it themselves This can result in blood loss , infection and pain It is like having a toe cut off with scissors without anaesthetic The governments excuse is, if a working dogs tail gets damaged the surgery would be painful In all the years I worked at the practice we had one dog, an Irish Wolfhound have part of his tail amputated Because of his size he damaged it against a wall from wagging it

  • Save our lollipop man for Sutton Manor Primary
Our school is on a very busy road with links to the motorway and link road near by. Traffic seem to use this road a lot as a short to these routes. I feel our children will be in danger and many fatalities will occur? If we lose him .

  • Support UK staying in Single Market
TO LEAVE THE SINGLE MARKET WOULD BE A DISASTER FOR THE PEOPLE, especially the young - what kind of world would they inherit?.. It would destroy the economy and only benefit those who would buy out the pieces for nothing, the Ultra - right, the same people who are behind Trump and Brexit. To stay in the single market is the best way to guarantee economic growth and environmental equity for the UK. It would safeguard hundreds of thousands of jobs and the survival of significant industries for Britain. Staying in the Single Market would vastly simplify the Brexit talks, making sure that human resources needed in various economic sectors stay here. It would get rid of the necessity for complicated trade agreement for which the UK has little expertise.

  • Make the UK's energy cleaner
It is important because as humans it is our duty to protect the Earth and preserve it for future generations. If we do not act soon our thriving environment will deteriorate before our eyes so therefor we appeal to the government to invest into more into green energy so that we can have a secure future. It is also of economic importance because if we do not make the change to sustainability now other countries will over take us in technology and we will no longer be a pioneering country. Even if the fossil fuels will last us in the short term at some point we will have to make the change so why not do it now and save the environment while your at it? Air pollution has already proven its self destructive to our health and unless in the future we all want to wear filter masks we need to reduce our CO2 outputs now. We would like stricter regulations on energy companies and more renewable energy sources to support our growing demand. If you want a sustainable future please sign our petition.
