• Public Enquiry into the Events leading upto and following the Death of Dr David Kelly
In the light of the recently published Chilcot report on the lead up to and subsequent execution of the Iraq war, it has become clear the incident relating to the death of Dr David Kelly is fundamental to the events leading up to the decision to invade. Dr David Kelly had grave concerns with the evidence used in justification of the war. Jack Straw the foreign secretary at the time belittled both him and his concerns about “sexing up” the government dossier promoting the war. Dr Kellys subsequent suicide left many questions unanswered and conclusions drawn after the Hutton enquiry are less than satisfactory. I believe the events leading up to and following the death of Dr Kelly should be reinvestigated and all files relating to this should be made public.

  • Demand a Judicial Review on Gateshead councils plans to build on the Green Belt
The local councillor for Ryton campaigned to stop building on the greenbelt, however, she was then given a seat on Gatesheads housing committee and all of a sudden it seems the plans to build have been 'pushed through, the local infrastructure will not cope as the local roads are already gridlocked in the morning and in the evenings and also schools in the local area are almost up to capacity

  • Hold Jeremy Hunt and George Osborne accountable for the 9% rise in UK death rates
On 23rd June 2016, the Office for National Statistics released distressing data, which shows an increase in death rates of 9% (that's 52,400 people) in England and Wales between June 2014 and June 2015 when compared with data from the previous year. This rise is unprecedented. Never before have we failed our sick and elderly populations to such a degree. The British Medical Journal (BMJ) published the data in an article on 6th July, stating that austerity and economic inequality played a "major role" in this increase. There are now millions fewer social care visits to the elderly per year since Osborne assumed office in 2010 and Jeremy Hunt in 2012. These care packages were seen as playing a vital role in the early identification and treatment of the deterioration in a person’s health and well-being. Public Health England stated that they are observing rapidly increasing mortality rates in the over 75s. These rates are particularly high in “spearhead areas”, which are some of the poorest parts of the country. The BMJ have stated that members of the public with long term health needs such as dementia and other disabilities are suffering the most. Often these are the people among us without a voice. Be their voice and sign this petition to hold Jeremy Hunt and George Osborne accountable for causing the premature deaths of these 52,400 people by inflicting vile austerity measures upon public health services against the wishes of the majority of the British public who value our national health service. We are also calling for a public review of the health budget cuts and privatisation deals that have been and are being negotiated and agreed upon on our behalf. The NHS belongs to us, the responsibility to save it is ours.

  • ASA to regulate Political Advertising
We have to be able to trust political campaigns, and because politicians are not held to account in their campaigning, these campaigns are extremely damaging. In the example of Brexit, it was down to the British public to make an absolutely enormous decision, and the fact that so much campaigning was based on fiction made the British people extremely vulnerable in making decisions. The British Government must be held accountable for their campaigning, and the ASA could help with that.

  • Protect these animals
Innocent Animals are being used and killed as bait in training for dogfighting rings. Gumtree, which is owned by EBay needs to stop allowing people to give their unwanted pets away as it attracts the wrong kind of interest, and these animals don't stand a chance.

  • Let us say NO to RACISM and HATE
Given the detrimental effects of the increase in hate crimes, caused by RACISM, following the recent EU referendum, it is time we as a country, a modern, civilised, tolerant and pluralistic society bring into being, laws which are aimed at reducing as many of the root causes of such crimes as possible. One of the primary sources is politicians. Therefore, let us campaign for the government to bring into force laws that make it ILLEGAL for anyone or organization, be they politicians, political parties, party supporters or an individual, to use race, ethnicity, nationality or religion when campaigning in any election or referendum, local or national.

  • Blair Trial
This is very important to me because if Tony Blair did stand trail it would show the government that there is consequences to there actions and that they make time making the right decision. Consequently this would make the government more accountable and less of an elective dictatorship. Most importantly Tony Blair is responsible for leading 179 young British troops to there death for a war that has caused complete and utter chaos in the middle east and has lead to the rise of terrorist groups such as Daesh who have attacked countries across the world. Hundreds of thousands of Iraqi civilians lost there lives as a result of this invasion and millions have been displaced with terrorist attacks occurring on a daily basis.A trail will not heal the wounds of the families who have lost loved ones as a result of the war but will give them some sort of justice . For this reason i believe Tony Blair should stand trail as like any other human who potentially commits a crime. I strongly believe NO ONE IS ABOVE THE LAW and nor should you. Sign this petition.

  • Tony Blair - War Criminal
Hundreds of British soldiers and thousands of innocent Iraq's were killed during a war which was based on lies. Tony Blair committed to the war 8 months before it started when he wrote to George Bush stating he was with America 'whatever'. He has caused the death of thousands of people and cost Britain billions of pounds by taking us into an illegitimate war. He should be brought to justice.

  • Registration of Animal Rescue Centres
There is currently nothing to stop anyone setting up as a Rescue, some centres are registered charities, some are not. One non-charity centre was raided by the RSPCA and animals were found in appalling conditions. If animals are being Rescued, they shouldn't have to suffer more at the hands of their rescuers than they did before.
