Spennymoor town council are ruining this long time tradition.

Following storm damage in 2014, Network Rail are currently working on a resilience programme to upgrade the London to Penzance railway between Exeter and Newton Abbot. In 2018 they hosted public forums and presented plans to build a new line 30 -40 metres (or more) out to sea at from Teignmouth's East Cliff Cafe to the Dawlish tunnel - a scheme which would destroy 1.7km of the beach. In November last year they then announced that revised plans were now being considered. Subsequent Freedom of Information requests for details have been denied, "in the public interest". In February 2019, Network Rail advised that their current proposal between Parson's Tunnel and Teignmouth is, "to deliver a new railway alignment involving a new sea wall beyond the footprint of the existing." Teignmouth Beach, with it's open sea aspect framed by the towering red Devon cliffs, is possibly the most visually outstanding part of any journey on the iconic train route, and has been a cherished destination for both local's and visitors for many generations. Whilst it is agreed that the railway must be maintained and updated, we enjoin that this must not be to the detriment of a special and unique location. Network Rail must use their best endeavours to ensure that any development they undertake specifically maintains or enhances the visual and environmental merits of Holcombe and Teignmouth Beach.

A lack of safe and legal routes into the UK for refugees seeking safety is forcing people to travel to the UK using life-threatening methods, including squeezing into the back of refrigerated lorries or riding in vulnerable dinghies across wild seas. People fleeing the threat of torture, rape or death cannot claim asylum in the UK without physically reaching Britain. This means that people are risking their lives to escape danger and try to secure asylum in the UK. Right now the UK offers a few limited programmes that provide safe and legal routes into the UK, but these programmes have been drastically reduced. Instead of reducing these programmes, the government should expand them to make sure anyone fleeing danger can travel safely and legally to the UK if they need to.

Climate change is the most urgent issue of our generation and those to come. The IPCC warns that we must limiting warming levels to 1.5C if we are to avoid catastrophic impacts from climate change. These impacts include more severe and frequent droughts, heat waves, coastal flooding and disease. Although impacts in the UK will be severe, this is an ethical issue as effects are being disproportionately felt by poorer countries. To avoid disastrous levels of warming, action has to be taken immediately at all levels of society. The City of Nottingham has a target of going carbon neutral by 2028, as well as many other universities.

For the safety and sanity of local residents; for the safety of parents with prams, wheelchair users and everyday pedestrians... This flouting of traffic laws everyday would not be allowed in other more affluent areas of Bradford.

A Crown Post Office is more than people realise it is the hub of a high street, the office was franchised off through no fault of the staff who are highly trained and experienced in serving the community and irreplaceable by self service machines or an unsuitable small counter space. The consultation process was deeply flawed and not advertised meaning that the majority in town had no knowledge of our Crown Post Office or directly managed Post office becoming franchised until it was underway. To this end we have grave concerns regarding the inevitable deterioration in services which will no doubt fall to unacceptable levels in a post office that is well used and was inappropriate for franchise.

We should be supporting local businesses by trying to increase the number of people visiting Clackmannanshire and spending in the local economy. The introduction of parking charges will impact local businesses, reduce tourism and be a tax on local people trying to access their own community. This is a bad decision and the Councillors who supported the charges should reverse their decision without delay.

The government has declared a climate emergency, and committed to making the UK a global leader on the climate crisis. But government documents have revealed that they’re planning to invest millions of pounds meant for green energy into the dirty fossil fuel industry in Argentina. Scientists say if we want to tackle the climate emergency, politicians have to take bold action in the next 15 months - and investing more money into the fossil fuel industry is taking us in the wrong direction. Will you sign the petition now, and call on the government to stop investing in the dirty fossil fuel industry, and start investing in green energy instead?

Braintree District Council does not value Stock Street Farm Barn or the difference it makes to the local social life or economy. If Braintree District Council can approve 000's of unpopular houses WHY can't they JUST APPROVE our wonderful unique and fun family business loved by 000's - its just a paper change of use - nothing physically changes! We now attract 4500 folks a year to Coggeshall. They see inside the 350 old Essex barn and gaze over the unspoilt Blackwater Valley while enjoying 5 star events. Economically - many of our guests stay at local Hotels, B&B's Air B&B and with family and friends - and they spend money there too on hairdo's, flowers, frocks, cakes, pre-party drinks - post party breakfasts etc. Local taxi / coach firms love us! Our guests buy local food, local beer, hire local bands and niche catering firms - they come and they love Coggeshall. We also extend folks choice within the local area for venues for their milestone, corporate or charity events or just to socialise generally - adding local diversity and fun! Socially - we host private and varied public events including brilliant LIVE music so folks can get out locally or better still invite friends and family here to party! We are step free throughout so everyone can come and have safe fun whether they are young, old, mobile or those that need some help getting about. Environmentally - Partying for about 3% of the year is enough to protect and maintain our two lovely listed buildings and the setting of an old Essex farm for future generations to see at first hand and enjoy (as much as we do!). D2 is the Optimal use for the old barn and since Jul 2016 over 12,000 guests have seen inside the barn with many sharing their pictures on social media to friends all over the world. We are proud to say we have had no complaints or any incidents. We even have a charging station now - so you can plug your car into charge while you party! Only reusable or recyclable plates, cutlery, straws, confetti etc are used here - we even recycle our guests as they come back time after time!

Having lived in the village for 12 years I have many memories of Anne. She was, to me, the heart of Weobley. There were numerous occasions I would just pop in to see her for a cuppa and a chat and end up leaving with a few flower bulbs, a colouring book or a broom. Whether you are new to the village or have been here for many years, chances are you knew who Anne was and have fond memories of her. This petition is to help show the Parish Council that the people of Weobley believe that she should be honoured in the Rose Garden like others have been. Anne loved her roses and I can think of no better place for her to be remembered. Weobley is a picturesque village which attracts many visitors, whether staying for a small holiday or just passing through on their bikes. Whilst there are currently benches in the garden they do not allow for a comfortable rest nor do they permit for groups whether residents or visitors to sit together to enjoy the hustle and bustle that is our village life. The picnic bench that I would like to have made would be metal framed and similar to those that can be found in the park at the Hopelands. When starting the collection for Anne I never dreamed that I would come across as much resistance as I have from the Parish Council in remembering one of our beloved residents. I ask you, please come together as a community and sign the petition to help me show the Parish Council that this is what the residents of Weobley want.

Train Services are important to residents and the local economy given the Welsh Government Decision to declare a Climate Emergency. Reducing carbon emissions and investing in the Rail Network is critical to meet carbon emission targets by 2030. This line has increased passenger numbers at each of the stations year on year of up to 20% over the last 5 years and continues to grow.

Teaching assistance are extremely valuable staff members within schools. They have many different roles and are essential in providing support to children with increasingly varied needs. Please let's keep these vital members of staff whom our children and their teachers depend on.
