There have been so many changes to our Town , Burton on Trent in the past , our Heritage, Buildings, environment and so on. Now plans to Develop this Historic Building into apartments ect , the Town has lost so much ,surely this Great Building would fit into the use of this petitions suggestions

If this erroneous decision is not rescinded then it would create a two tier urgent care system that would exclude, workers, visitors and those that participate in the full range of sporting fixtures that happen in the area from accessing and using the urgent care centre: putting untold pressure on KGH A&E and the East Midlands Ambulance Service.

PASNAS is not in financial difficulty. The unnecessary proposals will transfer all of the risk of the financial markets entirely onto the shoulders of the scheme members themselves, and damage the futures of the University's dedicated and hard-working support staff, leaving them without adequate financial security in their retirement. This pension is part of our pay package; the proposals actually represent a pay cut. They could impact support staff at other Universities (who have similar pension schemes) and also in the wider public sector, where there has been a constant erosion of Terms and Conditions, and pay cuts resulting in many low-paid workers having to struggle to make ends meet.

Because more youth facilities are needed in the village and a skatepark would greatly benefit our younger community's physical, mental and social health. Research shows that users learn to push their boundaries within a safe environment, gaining courage and confidence in their own physical and mental abilities, and learning key life skills like focus and perseverance. A local skatepark provides more opportunities for exercise, gets young users off dangerous roads and allows for independence. A prominent and well-positioned Skatepark will provide the opportunity for important social interactions between users of different ages and abilities, as well as with other members of the community, an opportunity unique to such a small space.

This will help reduce the ever growing amount of plastic clogging up our planet. Think; there is over a 1000 students in my school. If we all use a plastic fork every day for a week that is 5000 plastic forks, then 20,000 a month, and in a school year that is an unimaginable amount of plastic .Think. Then imagine this all over the country. This is an unnecessary amount of plastic doomed to be lunch for an innocent sea creature. We have to stop this now and #STOPthePlasticTide because the health of the planet starts with us - the human race.

The Whitdale family centre is set to be closed by the Local West Lothian council due to budget cuts. This centre has helped hundreds of families to overcome issues they battle with in their everyday life. It helps them to build positive relationships and receive vital support while they spend time away from isolation. The centre also provides support for children's early education and helps many young children to build positive relationships with their families and peers. The nursery provides that extra help for a child to move on to education like nursery and primary school, helping them with positive behaviour and development. We are asking as many people as possible to help us by signing this petition, asking the council to not take the family centre away from vulnerable people. If enough of us sign this petition, we can show the council that this service should not be cut.

Our city has been hit by cut after cut- a fact clearly evidenced by the rubbish on our streets and the state of our closes. Residents of Glasgow deserve safe and clean streets with a well funded and reliable refuse service. Glasgow City Council have told GMB Scotland Trade Union that they have no plans to renew the contracts of over 100 temporary cleansing workers who were added to the service when our city was at the point of crisis last year. This means that on April 1st, Glasgow will see a 12% cut across the board to street cleansing services. We hope that, with the public's support, we can save jobs and clean up our city

No new opencast coal mines have started in England since 2013. Since then the Government has said that it will phase-out coal by 2025. It's vital that we prevent a new mine starting which would cause local and international environmental destruction and which the local community have clearly rejected. Bradley is a greenfield site in County Durham between the villages of Dipton and Leadgate. The site supports a wealth of plants and animals, including Great Crested Newts, badgers, red kites. Banks Group plan to mine 550,000 tonnes of coal from the site, starting work this spring. The Bradley opencast mine is a case where the original decision to grant planning was grossly wrong and the development is likely to damage the wider public interest. Since the planning permission was granted in June 2015 there have been significant changes in national and international policy with regards to coal and climate change. 1) Coal use in the UK has dropped to 7% of the UK’s energy mix compared with 30% in 2014. 2) The government has said it will phase-out coal by 2025. 3) The UK and Canadian governments want to be world leaders with their Powering Past Coal Alliance. 4) The Paris Agreement requires that action is taken to prevent global temperatures from raising by 2 degrees and pursue efforts to keep them from a 1.5 degree raise. Thomas Davison, 28-year-old a resident living 300 metres away from the proposed opencast site said; “Banks' desire to extract 550,000 tonnes of coal is driven by nothing more than profit and not at all by a genuine need for energy. We have moved onto other forms of cleaner energy for the good of our global climate. So why is it worth harming the local wildlife and the local economy for one last money grab?”

The Council intend to change the green belt to brown belt in a small quaint rural village at Broomhill in Barnsley. We want to stop the application to build on our green belt. The effect this will have on our village and the abundance of wild life will be catastrophic. Both residents and visitors alike enjoy the countryside that surrounds us from dog walkers, bird watchers to ramblers. Our wild life play a big part in making our village an attraction to all. The influx of traffic and housing would be devastating. We have an abundance of squirrels, rabbits, foxes, owls and bats to name a few not to mention an extremely large variety of birds. The surrounding wetlands attracts, swans, geese, ducks, coots and a variety of other wild life. To build on our green belt would be devastating to the wild life not to mention the residents who have enjoyed the peace and tranquillity of living in the countryside.

We as a community have come together and want each and every one of our voices heard and this matter investigated!!!! We feel that the police have not fulfilled their lawful duty to a member of the public who is a law abiding citizen. This lady reported her dog missing in 2016 from Barry in the vale of glamorgan. She had obeyed the law and had her bichon called max microchipped and registered in her name. She followed all the right procedures when he went missing, He was reported to all the relevant authorities and his microchip was flagged as missing. He is on the doglost website aswell as an abundance of missing dog groups on the internet. This lady aswell as numerous dog groups and their thousands of members have endlessly searched and followed up every possible lead and sighting etc into his whereabouts. She has tirelessly searched for her dog since the day he went missing. A few days ago even though he's been flagged as missing she discovered he has been re registered to someone else. The chip company refuse to pass on the new keepers details and the police say it's a civil matter so won't help her. We stand together with her and feel this is a huge injustice not just to her but to every single pet owner out there!!! We want the police to investigate this matter and are hugely appalled by their lack of interest in this case. This is not a civil matter But is either firstly theft in its own right or it's theft by finding. Either way it's a criminal offence. Also we feel by the chip company and the police by protecting the (CRIMINAL),S identity when they are not the real owners of this animal but who are in fact handling stolen goods makes both the police and the chip company guilty of aiding and abetting a criminal act. You as the police have a duty of care to us members of the public and we are calling on you to do just that. We want our rights as pet owners protected. We will not stop until max is returned to his rightful owner and will share his story all over the media aswell as follow complaint procedures. Please Take note of the number of people that have signed this and do your job please do whats right in the eyes of the law by stopping this injustice and protect the victim in all this not the criminal. Get max home where he belongs Make a stand so other dog thieves think twice in future. It's important because our pets are not inanimate worthless objects. They are our family members. Pet theft is a huge problem and the police need to treat it the same as any other crime.

The Home Office quietly announced, without debate in Parliament, that West Yorkshire Police will be rolling out on-the-spot fingerprint scanning on 10th Feb 2018. The checks will include UK Border Agency and Criminal Records databases. Over 30yrs ago I was fined for a minor offence and my fingerprints were recorded at the time. If I were to encounter a stop-and-scan check whilst with my boss or an important customer, they would be able to tell instantly that I had a criminal record, and even if I wasn't fired I'd be looked at unfairly for promotion. Worse still, with UK Border Agency database checks, we know that the Police will disproportionately target ethnic minorities. We have seen how incompetent the UKBA are at dealing with EU applications for permanent residency, and you can be sure that many legal EU citizens will be falsely arrested during these stops. PACE (the Police and Criminal Evidence Act) s61 currently states that the Police can only take your fingerprints without consent after you've been arrested or you're caught red-handed. However, by virtue of having these scanners the Police will intimidate people into giving consent. 1. The pedestrian refuge at Backbarrow, although offering some protection and enables pedestrians to cross one half of the road at a time, it’s a place where people are very vulnerable with traffic roaring past at 60mph. Pedestrians are still at considerable risk of injury or death should a vehicle collide with it whilst they stand there waiting to cross. There have been at least two occasions in the past where vehicles have crashed into it, luckily no-one has been standing there at the time. 2. 60mph is far too fast, and we’re concerned that drivers are currently exceeding the national speed limit. Cameras need to be installed to enforce the new speed limit of 40 mph. 3. The pavements. particularly at Backbarrow are very narrow and pedestrians are forced to walk close to passing traffic which practically brush their shoulders, suck them in and blow them out again as they whoosh past - 60mph is far too fast. It only takes 30 seconds more to travel at 40 mph on the one mile stretch between Haverthwaite and Backbarrow. 4. The dual carriageway section at Haverthwaite is dangerous because it encourages drivers to increase their speed and take risks where there are junctions and bends to be negotiated. 5. Current lighting and signage is inadequate and drivers aren’t aware of the junctions and crossings in place. Pedestrians and drivers put their lives at risk every day. It’s time to take action and make improvements before someone else is seriously injured or killed.  We believe our proposals, are not unreasonable. 6. The community of Backbarrow are deeply saddened and angry that there’s been yet another incident recently which has cut short the life of a well liked, lovely friend and neighbour. Without the reduction in the speed limit to 40mph and the other changes we are proposing, there will be further incidents and loss of life – it’s only a matter of time.
