The human cost of welfare cuts is huge, with levels of stress, depression, physical ill health and family breakdown likely to increase as the cuts hit. Welfare cuts are about so much more than simply reducing the deficit for so many people. It's not possible for our politicians to experience fully what it is to be on a low income long-term, but we call on them to make this effort to engage with the human cost of their policies.

A cats death is not accountable for, meaning they are not important. A cat that is hit by a vehicle can be left on the road, alive, and with broken limbs, not to mention internal injuries. Why are they left to die in agony??. The driver of the vehicle just drives on. The devastation that every animal goes through is the same for cats as dogs and any other animal that is hit. We cannot always follow wild animals, who are hurt, but the outcome is just the same. Pure agony and no one to help them, because they are not important enough, to protect with a Law against Hit and Run incidents, for our poor cats and wild furries. My sisters cat Tiko lived until he was 18 but it wasnt his age that killed him, it was a hit and run driver who finished him off. Jessie another cat, ran out into the road and was thrown into the air, the driver never even got out of his car, he just sped off. She was put to sleep because of internal injuries and broken limbs. Most vets will euthanise an animal, who is so injured that there is no hope, free of charge, there is no vet worth his/her salt would not do this for the poor animal concerned.

'Education Other Than At Schools' (EOTAS) provides a service which is in very high demand. In addition, there are so many more children still on the waiting list, due to the limited amount of teachers that they have at the moment. The Council is intent on cutting the tuition team further (from 12.6 to 4 full time equivalent teachers ). That’s not enough! It’s going to mean a great deal of children like me are not going to get the education they need and deserve. Under the new proposals, children with mental health issues will no longer be eligible for home tuition and the Key Stage Four Pupil Referral Unit, a provision for pupils for whom school is not suitable, will be shut down. For two and a half years I received home tuition. I was so ill that I couldn't even get out of bed and there wasn't really a question about whether or not I could get into school. I had two wonderful home tutors who not only were my teachers but became great friends. They made my lessons not only manageable but also fun and made me eager to learn. They got me through my GCSE's, helping me achieve an A, two B's and two C's, where most people including myself thought I might not pass any of my exams. I know so many kids personally that are really very ill/disabled and are in receipt of home tuition or have received it in the past. Over and over I have heard of the invaluable support, teaching and guidance that these teachers have given. I'm now far better, my condition has stabilised and I have just had my 17th birthday. I am my studying my A-levels in college, looking at universities and considering a career in politics and art. None of this would be possible without my fantastic home tutors. Without Home Tuition, I would just have been another NEET statistic (Not in education or in employment training). Most of time the kinds of children that are in need of home tuition are the ones who will need to rely on their education most in future. The team are highly skilled, highly qualified and experienced teachers. This is not just about keeping their jobs. It’s about looking out for all the vulnerable children that need an education! Once this service is gone, it's gone. There’s no getting this service or these teachers back. What if your child in the future is unable to attend school? What if for some reason you or your child develop symptoms that make going to school difficult if not impossible? Save our services! You never know when you ‘re going to need help! Thanks

EU citizens living in the UK are to be banned from voting in the EU referendum. This includes citizens who have come to the UK to study or work, or who have joined (British and non-British) partners and have family here. In addition, as the University of Oxford indicates, EU migrants prop up vital public services, including in the area of care, where demand for EU migrants is high 'largely due to low wages and poor working conditions' (http://www.migrationobservatory.ox.ac.uk/britains-70-million-debate/5-british-and-other-eu-migration). Despite our contributions to this British society, we are now to be kept from participating in an election that fundamentally decides our and our families' futures. This seems to counter all sense of fairness. We urge you to change your decision.

16 and 17 year olds can marry, pay taxes and serve in the armed forces. The high turnout from this age group in the recent Scottish Independence referendum shows that many in this age group are politically aware.

THIS WEDNESDAY developer Ballymore intends to chop down all the trees on Town Wharf – part of a big programme of tree removal on the South side of Brentford High Street in preparation for future development. Town Wharf is a small historic harbour formed by a loop in the River Brent. It is home to seventeen people living on boats, over 23 species of birds (including kingfishers) and has a thriving population of extremely rare two-lipped doorsnails that are only found on this stretch of the River Thames (see http://www.lbp.org.uk/downloads/PrioityInverts/ThamesDoorSnail.pdf) Chopping down the trees will destroy the beautiful communal gardens that residents have created over the past decade. It will disrupt birds at the height of the nesting season and damage the habitat of the two-lipped doorsnails who climb the trees to feed off algae on bark and leaves. We strongly challenge the necessity of removing the trees at this point in Ballymore’s Brentford development – years before the developers will be ready to plant replacement trees or create new wetland habitats.

Lord Janner was excused from standing trial for serious sexual offences toward children on the basis that the dementia that he suffers was too advance. If this is truly the case he is then also unfit to be a member of a parliament commitee and should be removed. If he is fit to remain then he is also fit to stand trial, and be forced to face the consequences of the alleged abuse.

I care about this issue because there are thousands of deaf people in the UK and abroad who are disappointed with the subtitles on TV! I want subtitles to be more clearer than mistakes made very often on TV. If subtitle mistake was made once or twice it would be fine but now it's getting worse. Do your job properly BBC!

With so much food wasted/unsold and then destroyed or made unfit for consumption by being covered in bleach etc. why not give it to food banks & charities to feed those who have been left in a position that they are unable to feed themselves. Protecting sharks is vitally important to the marine ecosystem. Sharks are killed in their millions, mostly for their fins. Almost 100 million sharks are killed per year; they need protecting in the same way that elephants are protected. Very soon so many shark species will become extinct. Sharks need our help; we have the power to change this and in the UK we could set the way for other countries to follow. We need to protect them and study them. There are fewer Great White sharks in the world than there are tigers. Sharks are so important to our seas for the overall health of reefs and other marine systems. The slaughter of sharks for their body parts is unsustainable. The human race will be responsible for the mass extinction of these mysterious and beautiful animals, but we can change our ways and save these beautiful animals from extinction and learn to understand them and increase there numbers.

Alistair Carmichael has admitted that he leaked the memo that began the 'Frenchgate' scandal despite saying that it had nothing to do with him. He now says that he committed an error of judgement. His campaign in Orkney and Shetland was characterised by his attacks on people who disagreed with them accusing them of smears. This is what he said, ‘I had not seen the document before it was published in the Daily Telegraph, however I was aware of its content and agreed that my special adviser should make it public. I should not have agreed this. It was an error of judgement which I regret. ‘I accept full responsibility for the publication of the document. I have written today to the First Minister and to the French Ambassador to apologise to them both. ‘Had I still been a Government Minister I would have considered this to be a matter that required my resignation. I have therefore informed the Cabinet Secretary that I will decline my ministerial severance payment.’ We do not want to represented by a dishonest politician. If the matter merited his resignation as a Cabinet Minster, it means that he is not fit to be our MP and has to go immediately. He was elected knowing that he had lied to the press and his electorate and must now pay the price.

Alistair Carmichael MP should resign as an MP for allowing a false leak regarding Nicola Sturgeon 's preference for Prime Minister. He has already taken responsibility for it. But as this was not known before election and his mandate being so slim; the people of Orkney and Shetland should be allowed to judge his behaviour in a by election. It looks like the investigation into this matter has also been hugely costly to the taxpayer. Pay back the money and quit.
