• NO MEANS TESTING FOR WAR PENSIONS
I keep hearing of brave veterans being left with only £10 of their War Pensions after being means tested. The rest of the basic War Pension, after this first £10, is counted as income when the Department for Work and Pensions calculates what level of means-tested benefits to pay and affects veteran's benefits and is, therefore, lost. Benefits affected are such as Income Support, Income-based Jobseeker's Allowance or pension credit. This is basically and morally wrong. The government work out how much you need to live on, but this pension should not be counted. These men and women fought and put their lives on the line to allow us to live safe lives today. Please don't take that well earned pension away from them, which also takes away their faith in this country and make them wonder why they bothered in the first place. Leave them some dignity and keep off their War Pensions.

  • Step up Crufts. Zero tolerance of abuse.
Crufts claims to be the biggest and best dog show in the world. For this reason it is in a powerful position to send a message to the world that Crufts operates a policy of zero tolerance of abuse and takes appropriate action in every single case to ensure that all dogs are treated with compassion, respect and dignity at all times. I believe that the handler of the Best in Show Winner 2015 did not do this, despite several requests from Crufts judges. Their attempts to address this on their official Facebook page today is not enough. I believe she broke the rules and should be stripped of the title.

  • Say NO to an EU army
This will be an utter disaster and will allow our government to make more cut backs on Britain's defence. We need a referendum now.

  • STOP SOCIAL CLEANSING : Put community before profit.
Generations of these families have served the local community through thick and thin, for over eighty years. Together with the market, they are at the heart of Brixton’s long-established, diverse trading community. We want them to continue to provide our community with the goods and services that we rely on. We are proud of the blending of different cultures and customs that has characterised our past and shaped our neighbourhood today We want to see that community continue to thrive in the future. We do not want our rich heritage replaced by a soulless homogeneous row of chain stores, We need to all stand up and make our voice heard together. If you want to protect the uniqueness of Brixton town centre and the communities it provides for please sign & share.

  • save colchester street traders from 400% rent hike and change of location
We are street traders in Colchester there is a handful of us. Many street traders have worked in the town for decades. We trade seven days a week providing goods for our local community. Over the years street traders have built trust with the community and have been rewarded with the local communities loyal custom. The council has served notice to the traders we now have 20 days to save our businesses ,save our staff from being made unemployed. We have been model tenants contributing tens of thousands to the councils treasury. So why in these times of austerity with public services being cut is the council taking away funds from the public purse. By the council relocating traders from their current established positions and raising rents by 300-400% they are most definitely forcing the hard working street trader out of business. We urge the public to save us as we feel that over the years we have contributed to the local economy and provided a service for the public. This is your local public service that the council would like to take away so please show your support.

  • Tick Tock We Want Our Clock
The clock is of LOCAL interest, being part of the bus station that served Weston super Mare since 1929 until it's demolition in the 1980's. The clock was then refurbished by and at the expense of Abbey National Homes with Weston Hoteliers Association and given to the people of Weston super Mare. The clock then stood on stilts on the seafront until the seafront was 'modernised' four years ago. Since then the clock has rotted away in an outside storage yard at Sandford.

  • Support and protect craft cider and perry production in the UK
Small producers plant and maintain orchards which contain traditional cider apple/perry pear varieties, these will be grubbed up because the production of artisan cider (or perry) will not be economically viable. The large producers will take over and reduce choice to the consumer. Local (and even national) varieties of cider apple will disappear.

  • Stuart Rose report on NHS management Publication
My petition is to force the Health secretary Jeremy Hunt to publish the Stuart Rose report on NHS management before the general election. This is obviously a politically motivated cover-up as even the Tory head of the health select committee Sarah Wollaston said ” his department’s refusal to publish a damning report on NHS management before the general election was not acceptable”. Sarah Wollaston, a former GP who took over the chairmanship of the committee last year, said “it was not reasonable or right that a report by former Marks & Spencer boss and Tory peer Stuart Rose, which was commissioned by Hunt a year ago and completed in December, was being kept from the public”. The only reason for not publishing is that that Rose’s report is strongly critical of management systems in the NHS – findings that are potentially damaging for the Tories before an election in which the NHS is centre stage. The NHS is one thing that most people believe must be protect from the private sector and the Tory’s.

  • Safer A23 in Streatham Campaign
There is, on average, a significant incident every four days, with someone being fatally or seriously injured every month on Streatham High Road. The road is trying to serve too many purposes. It’s a commuter route, a haulier route, a bus route as well as a busy shopping street. These needs are incompatible. Drivers see the wide road, 3 lanes and lack of speed signs and treat it as a dual carriageway. Research shows half of them break the 30mph speed limit. On the other hand, residents see it as their High Street and dart between cars to make it to the middle section where they stand between six lanes of traffic before making the final dash to Sainsbury’s to pick up some milk. Streatham’s population is growing. There’s the redevelopment of the bowling alley and work’s started on Caesar’s. This is brilliant and such an exciting time for the area but it will only make the risks of the A23 greater. There seems to be a lot of chat on this issue but no action. Lambeth remains London’s deadliest borough with more people dying in Lambeth than anywhere else in London. **Please note this petition is not party political. We have cross-party support. Your contact details will NOT be shared with anyone.**

  • HMRC investigate the accounts of LionheartGB, Britain First, The Patriot Store.
The Patriot Store is all pervasive on many pages on Facebook. Originally the domain was registered by Mr James Dowson (ex-BNP, ex-Britain First), but then transferred to Lionheart Products. EVERY Britain First, LionheartGB (and others) pages contain links to the Patriot Store. The newest page is Knights Templar International, which is being heavily promoted by Britain First. The website allows donations to be made (exactly the same as Britain First's), and it solicits donations from abroad. According to Electoral Commission rules, any donation of £500 or more must be returned to the donor if they are not on the UK Electoral Roll. It is urgent that the HMRC investigates the accounts of these 'businesses'. HMRC needs to find the links between the companies, just how many donations/profits are going to 'Britain First', whether or not the donations have come from abroad, and who is behind the entire 'group'.
