They say, money makes the world go round, but if there's no money, the world could stop spinning. Not literally, but financially.

Since the closing of Eagle House in 2014, the life for children and young people in this part of Bristol has been stark. With a lack of consistent provision and the promise of a better life, many young people are drawn towards the exploitative life of selling drugs and petty crime. All local youth organisations recognise that consistent early intervention is needed and support this work, but this needs to be met at its roots by the community and skilled professionals in youth and play. With the reimagining of Eagle House as a fully purposed children and young people’s centre, we can change the narrative in Knowle West and Knowle for generations to come. We can work with families from the start of their journey as parents, offering support, advice and a safe place to play for their kids during the day. For school age kids we will build a rich play environment for after school, weekends and holidays. We will grow food and prepare it in our community kitchen. We will see children from toddlers to teenagers, and ensure that they get the grounding in life many are being deprived of. Eagle House had been a youth facility for this community for nearly seventy years, changing lives and providing opportunities for generations of local young people. In these extremely challenging times it is needed more than ever. The outcomes for the younger generation in the Filwood area of Knowle West and in parts of Knowle are amongst the poorest in the country.

This might not seem important. Pencil sharpeners are cute, colourful, they look pretty and safe. Until you find one in your child's Self-Harm kit you have no idea how dangerous these are. It's so easy to break one they're usually cheap. In less than a minute your child has a weapon. Self Harm is on the rise. Sometimes there's a reason they're doing this to themselves and sometimes sadly it's just what their mates are doing. Once they start though it can become a compulsion and can be very difficult to stop.

Having a designated village hall/community centre is much more than bricks and mortar. It brings people together, to meet the needs of the community, to engage the community in projects , to socialise, educate , engage in physical , creative and educational activity, to make memories and friends. If it’s sold to housing developers , the chance is lost forever to create something special for our village in this space.

After the Crooked House burnt down a week after a pub chain sold it. It’s time the government protected our heritage, not only pubs but all our history. Make it a legal requirement that all buildings are insured and insurance companies rebuild to has was, sites are protected and monitored and enforcement is undertaken. Stop the demolition by arson that seems to be happening.

This allows people to guarantee a consistent amount of hours at their workplace and allows for companies to budget better. Whilst simultaneously reducing the companies abilities to screw over its staff with hours being cut back

Due to the increase in traffic along A509 coming through Isham and most road users lack of courtesy, that was prevalent years ago, to let villagers on side roads join the A509 especially in rush hour. It's easy and obvious and common sense but with a lot of different people from different countries with different driving styles and younger generations not experiencing this norm and old British custom of queuing getting eroded, this is urgently needed. Everyone who lives in a rural village with a main road with a vast increase in traffic recognises this problem during rush hour

People are suffering and are pulling out their own teeth. Children are not getting health care in dentistry which we have and are paying for.

Because many untreated dental problems can lead to pain, including infection throughout the body.
