• Increased buses on Route 57
Subject: Urgent Need for Increased Bus Services on Route 57 – Importance Statement Dear [Recipient/Local Authorities], The importance of increasing bus services on Route 57 cannot be overstated, as it directly addresses the pressing issues faced by the community. Here are key reasons why this enhancement is crucial: 1. **Addressing Overcrowding:** The current imbalance in bus distribution has led to overcrowded buses on routes 38, 38B, 28C, and 38E. By increasing services on Route 57, we can alleviate congestion and provide a more comfortable and efficient commuting experience. 2. **Reducing Waiting Times:** Commuters on Route 57 face unreasonably long waiting times, negatively impacting daily schedules and productivity. Increasing the number of buses will significantly reduce these wait times, making public transportation more accessible and attractive. 3. **Enhancing Accessibility:** Route 57 serves as a vital link for residents to reach essential destinations. Improving services on this route ensures better connectivity, particularly for those who rely on public transportation for work, education, and other daily activities. 4. **Promoting Sustainability:** A well-functioning public transportation system encourages the use of eco-friendly modes of travel, contributing to environmental sustainability. By addressing the deficiencies in Route 57, we can promote a shift towards greener commuting habits. 5. **Boosting Economic Activity:** Reliable and efficient public transportation is a catalyst for economic growth. Enhancing services on Route 57 can facilitate smoother transportation for workers, leading to increased productivity and economic activity in the community. In conclusion, increasing bus services on Route 57 is not just a matter of convenience; it's an essential step towards creating a more accessible, sustainable, and thriving community. We urge your support in addressing this critical need. Thank you for your understanding and commitment to improving our public transportation system. Sincerely,

  • STOP the installation of the sit-up bench in Arundel Square
During the redesign of Arundel Square play facilities, extra funding was secured to provide equipment for 7-14 year olds. This funding is now being used to install a second sit-up bench adjacent to the existing workout area. This was not the intended use of the additional funds. Moreover, the existing sit-up bench is rarely used so there is no demand for a second. The proposed site is the area between the playground and the workout equipment which many families use for seating as it is shaded and has clear sight lines to the playground and the rest of the park. The installation of the sit up bench will actively disadvantage the families it was intended to support. The equipment is due to be installed imminently so please act quickly to reconsider this use of space. Use the funding for its intended purpose - play equipment for 7-14 year olds.

  • Undercover skate space Lincoln
This is incredibly important for the skate/bmx/blader community in Lincoln. We currently don’t even have a skate park. Having a safe, sheltered space that we can use over the winter would be incredibly beneficial for the mental health of local riders and will inevitably grow our scene into something that is actually recognised by the city of Lincoln council.

  • MPS ARE CLAIMING FOR THEIR UTILITY BILLS ON THEIR EXPENSES
If all MP'S had to pay for their utility bills etc, out of their own pockets, the utility companies would not have been allowed to be so greedy.

  • RESIDENT PARKING - MONEY MAKING!
The recent introduction of charging residents in the London Borough of Barnet to park outside their own homes is a part of a part of a national money-making scheme There can be no justification whatsoever to charging residents to park outside their own homes. I have lived in my property for over 40 years and parked free until a few months ago. 'Resident Parking Only' is a good idea, but charging the residents for it, is nothing more than revenue raising and only increases the financial hardship and stress that the UK population are already suffering. In my particular case, there isn't enough parking space available in the first place due to an ill-conceived width restriction sited in the worst possible position. I have raised my complaints with Barnet Council, the local MP and the Mayor of London without success. I cannot imagine how many residents up and down the country that must be in similar situations. Barnet Council say that charging residents is an administration fee, for what?

  • Extend route 223 to Harrow Weald
We need to improve connectivity from Harrow view to other parts of Harrow and beyond. The population of Harrow is increasing and there are new developments such as Eastman village and the transport links need to improve to support the increased capacity that the increased population and New developments will have.

  • Ask the Government to re-introduce their 'Homes for' scheme in order to help the homeless refugees
The 'Homes for Ukraine' scheme was considered a 'significant success' and helped over 100,000 Ukrainians, therefore I am confident a similar scheme would also prove to be as helpful in this case. The scheme would also once again highlight the kindness, compassion and generosity of the British public in welcoming refugees into their lives and homes once again. Something needs to be done urgently before the UK faces an even bigger crisis. This issue is of huge concern, and not just to those facing homelessness. Some of these individuals have been given just 7 days to leave asylum accommodation, prior to this many of them had no legal right to work here. With no work, they have no money, with no money how are they supposed to access food? Sadly, many are forced to turn to crime just to access basic needs. Refugees are advised to open bank accounts and claim Universal Credit upon receipt of their 'right to remain' papers. A bank account is not easy to open without a permanent address, especially now as a growing number of banks and building societies will not acknowledge asylum hotels as a 'permanent address'. Applying for Universal Credit is also not easy to do without including bank details in the initial application. These individuals are also at real risk of being exploited by criminal gangs, due to their vulnerable state - they are more at risk of being groomed by sex and/or drug traffickers. Many are then forced into addiction and prostitution to make money and pay off debts. These are just a few of the barriers refugees in the UK face after being told they have their 'right to remain'. Therefore, in helping these people into safe environments where they get a decent chance to rebuild their lives, we would also be helping to prevent criminal activity and ease the burden on our already overstretched GP practices and hospitals. I would please urge you to consider the above, sooner rather than later.

  • Stop Traffic Congestion upper Beauchamp Road
The residents of 1-16 Beauchamp Road SE19 3BZ are greatly affected by the increased use of their road as a short cut. At rush hour, there are queues of idling cars that cause pollution, frequent honking of horns and occasional arguments. When the road is clear, drivers race down it at dangerous speeds. The majority of residents have had their cars damaged, more than once. The road is unsafe for pedestrians.

  • We need a SEND college for 19-25 year old in Newham
The SEND students should not be forgotten about after 18 years old. Day centres are not enough. SEND students also matter and they deserve to have their own college for over 18 year old. Where they can continue their education with their friends that they've already bonded with. This way learning life skills, how to be independent will build their confidence in life. My son is 20 years old he enjoys going to college but after this academic year the college cannot accept him back. I have searched the whole of Newham for a college that accepts over 19s but there is not a single one. This is heartbreaking because there are a lot of students like him who are stuck unless they look for colleges outside the borough.
