Say NO to Monsanto's Genetically Modified Foods Entering the U.KThese crops are a known potential major health hazard to all living organisms, hence why they have been banned in many countries across the globe. They will also affect non GM foods, the soil, water and more, causing contamination via winds carrying seeds. This is a major issue that will result in major health issues from now and years to come affecting you, your children and the future of our food industry.185 of 200 SignaturesCreated by Angela Peters

By George, he's gone and done it.It's official: George Osborne has just announced Britain's biggest ever privatisation. He's going ahead and selling off RBS at a loss of £13bn -- a huge loss to the taxpayer. It's part of the rush to privatise Britain -- an ideological move to hand over power and profit to corporations. Just as he's pushing through £12bn of welfare cuts that will hit the poorest and most vulnerable in society, Osborne is prepared to sell RBS off at a £13bn loss. £13bn is enough to plug the gap, protecting our public services and preventing austerity. We’re already paying for the banking crisis that we didn’t cause, and now Osborne wants to return RBS on the cheap to the people who caused the crisis in the first place. Just a few months ago, George Osborne was insisting we’d get our money -- the £45.2bn spent to save RBS from collapse -- back from any sale of the bank. Now, after the election, he thinks he can get away with selling it at a massive loss by rushing through the sale before we have time to stop him. Let’s prove Osborne wrong.126 of 200 SignaturesCreated by Julie Partridge

Pay Rosa Moreno the compensation she deservesLG, like any other corporation should be aware of the conditions their products are made. They should take responsibility and treat them like humans. They are, like many other, using human lives like cannon fodder for their shareholders. It is time we make them know that we care about how our products are made. A livelihood has been destroyed for the sake of another TV, and LG are not even interested. Virgin Atlantic's Unfair Payment System for NigeriaPeople intending to travel to Nigeria from the UK should be treated like any other passenger intending to purchase a ticket to travel to any other part of the world! This policy is bordering on racism! I am wanted to purchase a ticket to Lagos for myself and my 11 year old autistic son! The Virgin Atlantic agent was very happy to take payment for me but not my son! I was told 'we can't take a third party payment especially for that route because of fraud'! It was shocking to hear this. I was given a Nigerian website to go and make a payment. The website (Global payment .com.ng) would not accept my card and my card issuer have confirmed that there are no problems with my card. Virgin Atlantic was informed of my plight but they still insist that I either pay through that website or specially travel over 50 miles to either Gatwick or Heathrow airport in a maximum of two days to make this payment directly to them over their counter! This is definitely an injustice to people who have ties to Nigeria and who intend to travel there and want to pay for their families. Lagos and Abuja are the most profitable routes for Virgin Atlantic and they are treating people from particular parts of the world in a contentious manner! Nigerians normally take things in their stride and not complain but it's time people stood up to corporate entities like Virgin Atlantic and let them be aware of the fact that they can't make contentious policies like this and get away with it!160 of 200 SignaturesCreated by Sola Folarin-Ogunde

No food waste at TescoThousands of tonnes of food is wasted every year by Tesco. Recently, however, the supermarket chain has expanded a scheme to donate all edible food to charity to 10 of its stores in the UK. This is a step in the right direction but it is still not enough. Everyday people in the UK are forced into food poverty; more and more people are becoming homeless and dependency on food banks is growing. It is disgusting that people must rely on food banks, but it is even more disgusting that perfectly good food is being wasted when there is such a need for it.206 of 300 SignaturesCreated by Georgia Nolan-Rose

Ban Incoming Premium Text MesssagesI have recently been the victim of an Incoming Premium Rate Text Message scam. Fortunately TalkTalk, my Mobile Phone Provider eMailed me to warn me I had gone over my monthly allowance, and this is how I learned that I was being charged £4.50 for each one of these messages I had received. I had not knowingly subscribed to this. After doing some research I found that this scam is by no means an uncommon incident & is growing all the time. It even seems to have an authority (PhonePayPlus) which is supposed to monitor it. This, in itself, is ridiculous. It is clearly a way of making money under false pretences. All Premium Rate Text Messages are a rip off, but at least when making outgoing ones at least the customer is making the concious decision to throw their money away. These, however, are INCOMING. Most of all I was amazed to learn that this way of covertly taking money by deception is actually legal. This, to anyone with any sense of common decency can see this to be morally outrageous. Incoming Premium Rate Text Messages are theft, plain and simple, making use of some loophole in the law, targeting the most vulnerable. This loophole needs closing.138 of 200 SignaturesCreated by Jerry Gamble

Cradle to GraveToxins in the soil and water supply as a consequence to profiteering companies is irresponsible. Exporting old fridges and computers is equally irresponsible. Even the plastic bag comes under review. The world's resources are limited, why needlessly pollute the world?496 of 500 SignaturesCreated by Lucy Oldfield

Stop the waste & feed those who need itWith so much food wasted/unsold and then destroyed or made unfit for consumption by being covered in bleach etc. why not give it to food banks & charities to feed those who have been left in a position that they are unable to feed themselves. Anything that's past human consumption give to farms instead of filling landfill sites with it NOTES: [1] The Guardian: Rivals to follow Tesco in revealing amount of food wasted: http://www.theguardian.com/business/2014/jan/29/rivals-follow-tesco-reveal-amount-food-waste [2] BBC News: Reality Check: Are there a million food bank users?: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/election-2015-32413080 [3] The Independent: France makes it illegal for supermarkets to destroy edible food in effort to cut waste: http://www.independent.co.uk/news/world/europe/france-makes-it-illegal-for-supermarkets-to-destroy-edible-food-in-effort-to-cut-waste-10268849.html1,745 of 2,000 SignaturesCreated by Dean Richards

Stop the RBS Branch closure in InvergordonWhy is this important to us as a town? This campaign and petition has been started immediately it was announced that the Royal Bank of Scotland is going to close our local Invergordon RBS Branch. Doing this will have a devastating impact on not only our town and High street but on the elderly who are unable to travel, the disabled, the local residents as a whole who use the RBS everyday, the local businesses who use it on a daily basis. You have stated that you will not close any bank which is the last one standing in a town.......why then are closing this one? It is the last bank standing and a vital asset to the town and community! The above are just some of the reasons why we as a community can NOT ALLOW the RBS to shut our local Invergordon Branch! It is a focal point of the town for tourists and residents alike. In the cruise liner season our Invergordon branch is used by many tourists to change money and this is a service that will be denied to them and is also worth noting that we have aprox 60 million tourists enter the Invergordon Port every season! Everyone knows that a bank is a vital organ in a town especially a town such as Invergordon where if the RBS shut this one down there will be NONE! Please sign this petition and forward and share to all your friends and family. We can stop this but only if you get behind this petition and campaign!677 of 800 SignaturesCreated by Tina McCaffery

Support Food Banks at your Local Supermarket. The use of Food Banks has increased over the last 5 years, and is unlikely to decrease if and when welfare cuts bite. Without access to food banks, more people will, literally, have nothing to eat. As a society can we afford for this to happen? If collection points are available in all the major supermarkets it makes it easier for all of us just to buy a couple of extra items to donate alongside our regular shop. It also raises awareness of food poverty throughout the UK.94 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Edwina Lawrence
