High quality unbiased maps of the UK are essential and as such they should be kept free of particular commercial interests. I have used Ordnance Survey Maps all my life. The Survey has a long and distinguished history in the public sector and has led the world in map making survey techniques and cartography. The problem Care affects all of us. Everyone knows someone- a family member or neighbour or child - who needs care and support to live a full life Social care is organised by Local Government. Central government cuts have resulted in a 31% cut to adult social care in the last 5 years, this is in excess of £4.5 billion worth of care . Half a million older and disabled people who would have received social care five years ago now receive no local support . Big decisions about how the future of social care could be sustainably funded are being kicked into the long grass: manifesto commitments for 2015 have already been moved to 2020 and beyond . The cuts don’t just hurt people who need care and support to live a full life, though. They also: - Prevent many people who work in care from earning a fair or living wage - Make it harder for organisations that provide care to survive; many have gone out of business - Add pressure to an already pressured NHS when support can’t be provided to people who should be able to remain in their homes - Makes life tougher for family members who provide care for loved ones - Create social isolation, poorer mental health and inequality - Stop people having the right to live independently and take control of their own lives - Mean more and more people end up paying for their own care; those who can’t afford it often go without. The opportunity On the 25th of November the government will publish a Comprehensive Spending Review that will have a major impact on the future funding of social care. We think a lot of people don’t know about the scale of this care crisis or the impact it has on society as a whole. We also think that a lot of people would care if they knew more about it. We therefore need your help. We want government to know that people care about care. Its very important in hospitals as a patient is confined... Perfumes can cause damage to all with compromised immune systems and especially MCS Multiple Chemical Sensitivities sufferers.. This is an unrecognised illness by many, even doctors who dont know enough about this condition, but its on the increase and causes so many terrible symptoms. Asthma too is made worse by perfumed products.... perfumes cover cleaners too used in hospitals and it would be so easy for them to change to Bio products.. Offices and the workplace too should be perfume free, includiing shops ... People should be also made aware of what exactly is in cleaners, polishes, perfumes , air fresheners etc. and this is the governments that have to make a stand and do something.. Some countries are taking this seriously and have perfume bans now so why not Scotland.. Lead the way in the UK for a healthier place to live....Please support this.

The Consul in Chiang Mai, Thailand was recently closed. There is a sizable British community in and around Chiang Mai numbering thousands and we get no support. I recently renewed my son's passport and had to travel to Bangkok twice - once to apply for and once to collect it. It cost me £336.50 in air fares and hotel bills on top of the £72 for the passport itself and it can take up to 6 weeks. In contrast, my wife is Japanese; she applied at the local consulate and got a new passport in less than a week. In my capacity as a volunteer policeman I recently helped a German national whose passport was stolen. She had a replacement within 10 days. I have written to my MP and was initially ignored, so I wrote to the Home Secretary about the costs involved in getting a new passport and the Foreign Secretary about the abysmal level of service abroad. Neither has replied, instead delegating a response to a member of the British Consulate in Bangkok. This lady has not answered ANY of the questions I asked and instead wrote a lot of gobbledegook tripe about how centralizing services was giving better services. It is, of course, rubbish and the key points: cost and inconvenience were not even mentioned.

Private landlords are using this system to get around the housing benefit caps. It puts more pressure on councils and housing associations to supply decent accommodation to the most vulnerable people, when they do not have the resources to do so. The government should now step in and stop this happening. They introduced the housing benefit caps, but the system is flawed. They should ensure that councils themselves should not have to pay more than the benefit caps.

The City Council has announced plans to close Hove Library and re-open a new service in Hove Museum in 2017. We are concerned that the new service will be less central, smaller and won't be able to accommodate the full range and scope of the existing service. We are concerned that Hove Library as we know and love it is closing, and an iconic piece of local history will be lost forever. Hove Library is well used and loved by our community. It is a lifeline to many. It is free to use and popular. It provides great value costing the council taxpayer only 32p per week per person. Our library helps our community: 34% of library users have no home internet access and 32% are jobseeking. Over 30,000 children use libraries in Brighton and Hove ranging from homework clubs to baby boogie. Over 600 people attend reading and writing workshops. Hove library is home to special collections, provides a safe space and helps break down barriers.

Any alternative locations in the High Street are too far for the majority of residents to walk. The current location is centrally located for the majority of residents and the co location of Post office and Pharmacy, next to the doctors surgery is what is needed.

The proposed new junior doctor contact is not safe or fair for patients or doctors. It removes vital safeguards that protect junior doctors from working dangerously long hours thereby endangering patients and doctors. The contract changes out of hours work, devaluing the work done in the evenings and weekends. The changes would penalise those going into general practice at a time when there is a chronic shortage of GPs in Northern Ireland. The Scottish and Welsh governments have already said they will not impose the contract.

The citizens of Argyll and Bute is reject these appalling, destructive and cruel plans in their entirety. If allowed to happen, these cuts will rip into the heart of our communities at a time when depopulation is already a huge issue. I am deaf and very interested in local government and politics in Wales as are many other deaf and hard of hearing people. There are 10 million deaf or hard of hearing people across the UK. Something like 110,000 in Wales and the figure is always rising. It is incredibly important for deaf and hard of hearing people to keep in touch by using social media and computer access as so much communication is out of reach if you are deaf. There fore subtitles become an essential tool for communication in this day and age.
