• Refugees Welcome in Merthyr Tydfil
Aylan, the toddler who drowned fleeing Syria, was just three years old. His town was under attack by Isis. His five year old brother and his mum also died trying to reach safety. Yet our prime minister has just said ‘we won't take any more refugees’. He thinks that most of us don't care. But 38 Degrees members do care. We don't want Britain to be the kind of country that turns its back as people drown in their desperation to flee places like Syria. So let's stand up for Britain's long tradition of helping refugees fleeing war. Let's show the Prime Minister that we, the people of the UK, are proud to do our part and provide refuge to people in their hour of need. • Recall UK Parliament and debate the refugee and humanitarian crisis
People are dying in their thousands, The UK Govt is bringing shame on us all. Nigel Farage seems to be running the country as UKIP's shadow is more important to David Cameron than children's lives.

  • For Aylan
When a three year old boy washes up on shore because he was trying to flee a country which is smashed by war, humanity must act, all of us, not because of race, religion, borders or anything else but for the safety of children like Aylan http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-europe-34133210

  • Let's match Germany's commitment to offer refuge to Syrians fleeing their country
Yesterday a dead child's body was washed up on the beach in Turkey, 71 people died of asphyxiation in a van in Austria, hundreds of migrants are fleeing their war torn countries to seek a new life. Thousands of people are running for their lives, let's proudly give them somewhere to run.

  • Refugees Welcome Here
I cannot sit back and watch the images of the suffering occuring in Europe at the moment, and listen to David Cameron time and time again bluring the boundaries between the issues of migration and the refugees crisis. Not in my name, morally we need to do our part in welcoming these people into our country.
