Replacing street treesBrockley is in the middle of a radical tree-trimming and removal programme. This came without any warning to residents. The trees around the Aspinall Road area of Brockley are famous for their spring blossom and their fruits feed hundreds of birds in the area. They are a beautiful and particular feature of the area. Children have played in them and elderly people sit out in spring to enjoy the blossom. They bring protection to properties from hot sun in the summer and a sense of partial privacy in built-up areas. Where they are replaced, the species are not consistent. They are vital in this over-polluted city. Install sprinklers in every high risePeople are more important than profit. The UK government's primary duty is to keep its people safe. This petition shouldn't have to exist, it should have been announced after the last coroner enquiry of the Lakanal tragedy of 2009.85 of 100 SignaturesCreated by David Breeze

Stop the demolition of Crawley Town Hall• Crawley Town Hall is a significant twentieth-century building worthy of preservation; it is the public face of the New Town and as such has iconic status. • The interiors are particularly well designed and represent the best of the era, particularly the early elements of ‘Minimalism’ • The loss of this building would be to lose an important example of iconic new town design with a high quality of both materials and detail • Of even greater loss would be that of the work of a significant architect and interior designer, Max Clendinning, who’s interior design works have been an influence on design to the present day • Crawley has historical importance as one of the first post-war New Towns to be planned • Crawley’s design principal is open, low rise and airy • The demolition is to make way for three 9 -10 storey tower blocks of flats and offices. Completely out of character with the ideas and history of the town • A new Town Hall is simply a waste of money and a destruction of our heritage6 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Elliot Spain

Protection of Loch Awe as a place of outstanding beauty.People who live here cherish the tranquility and beauty of their surroundings, many of them retired and in the autumn of their lives. This is of no importance to developers who have only money making in mind. Our investment is our time, our energy and our care to save this environment for future generations.20 of 100 SignaturesCreated by June Rraven

Fix the Chanterlands Ave Railway BridgeThe bridge is in a poor state and urgently needs work. Representatives met with local people and promised to do something six months ago. Until Network Rail have completed their work , the damage done to the heritage tiles, railings and lighting cannot be fixed. The walls are coated in slime and it is on a busy school and shopping route. It is ugly and unhealthy.86 of 100 SignaturesCreated by chris dowd

End Homelessness in the UK130,000 people a year in England alone are asking for help regarding homelessness (Shelter, 2017). Homelessness is a matter of social injustice not just personal responsibility, everybody in Britain has a right to accommodation, it is not just a lack of shelter, it involves a deprivation over a number of dimensions, lack of physical and mental comfort, lack of privacy, lack of rootedness in the world and a lack of purpose in life (Somerville, 2013). Even in affordable social housing there is now an uncertainty in security, resulting in an increase in rough sleepers by 102% since 2010. The reason for homelessness is simple, not enough housing, not enough social housing, the ridiculous peak in house prices and the uncertainty of short hold tenancy in private sector housing. This needs to be stopped, we need to stop allowing housing associations and landlords putting vulnerable people out on the streets. Most of us are one wage slip away from being on the streets so help us today to change the lives of thousands of people. Sign today, save tomorrow.
