Positive Change for GooleThe citizens of Goole are being adversely affected by ad hoc decisions on housing development, industrial growth, etc., which are not matched by improvements in infrastructure and services to match increased demand. East Riding Council is remote, autocratic and neither engages with nor consults the local population about decisions in any meaningful way. The Town Council has a similar approach, but the two Councils have a very dysfunctional, adversarial, relationship which has a negative impact on the town's citizens. The town of Beverley has been burnished to a state of magnificence, and there is a feeling that this has been achieved by depriving Goole and other areas of necessary investment. Waiting lists for children's swimming lessons have become so long that the ERY Council has effectively taken away weekday swimming opportunities for adults with commitments during the day to put on swimming classes. The Portfolio holder at the Council, Cllr Richard Burton, who approved (if he didn't take) this arbitrary decision without consultation has overseen a completely new leisure centre in the town which he represents (Bridlington), when the existing one by any standards was not old. Waiting lists for all local services are growing longer and longer. Approval is frequently given for housing and business development (which are good things) without investing in services and infrastructure to meet new demands (which is bad for the citizens). The body responsible for coordinating the development of the town (the Goole Renaissance Partnership) has committed and hardworking staff, but no budget. We need an investigation into these circumstances, and binding recommendations on how to resolve the problems. Because ERYC and GTC do not listen, we need an external impartial body to investigate as a matter of great urgency16 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Graham Coult

Traffic safety in YnyshirFollowing the relocation of Ynyshir Junior School and evolving nature the requirements of pedestrians and businesses in the village, we request that there be a revaluation of road safety and usage in Ynyshir. Current traffic and parking provision in Ynyshir are not fit for purpose and could result in ether serious injury or fatality. Coupled with this danger is the debilitating effect parking provision has on both deliveries and customers for the local businesses. A full consultation and review is required in order to address these concerns.77 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Darren Macey

Save Our Music Venues in ManchesterWe all know the life and the soul of a city is its arts and culture. Equally as important is the opportunity for us to come together and spend time enjoying ourselves with other people. In a world dominated by smart phones and Netflix we need more reasons to leave our gaff, not less. We need to reverse this trend of destroying everything edgy and interesting about our city to build more beige flats for beige people. Save our city.29 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Thomas Barlow

STOP ROYAL MAIL NOISE POLLUTION AT UNSOCIAL HOURS ON WYNNE ROAD, SW9The Royal mail depot on Wynne Road, SW9 operates until midnight, and starts at 4am. New flats have been built opposite (completed April 2017) and sold to young Londoners on the HTB scheme, the land was sold by Lambeth council itself. Residents are now being woken up daily due to the noise made by loading and unloading during these unsocial hours. The engines are kept running, trolleys rattled on the road, reverse beeping from the vehicles can be heard, as well as loud loading noises. Royal Mail refuses to use their car park at the back of the building and instead use the loading bay at the front of their building, and double yellow marked areas directly outside the flats.85 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Isabelle Burn

Keep St Paul's Penarth for the communitySt Paul's has been an important site for community cohesion since it was built, not only as a church, but as a community center, arts center and sports club. The mainly residential development of the building will deprive the community of a large and versatile space with the potential to serve the whole of Penarth for many years. It clearly needs to be re-developed, but the current proposal was agreed without any community consultation, and a previous 2013 consultation gave an overwhelming majority to retain a sole community function. This has been ignored by VoG councilors who have prioritised other agendas. We are asking the council to demonstrate proper consultation with the community rather than being left to object to a private construction company. We are suggesting that a far greater space than the proposed rooms are needed for community use and that the current design of residential dwellings are not suitable. Please sign this petition if you are interested in St Paul's retaining a primary function in serving the broader community for generations to come.67 of 100 SignaturesCreated by St Paul's Community Penarth

Resident parking spaces and junction box in Killin drivePeople block up our street so much that an ambulance wouldn’t get in for the severely disabled child living in a house at the end. Parking for the people who actually live there not people visiting Academy house offices. Reduced speed limit to stop them speeding through street before someone is knocked down!96 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Margaret Pratt

Protect all our Ancient Woodlands and Rare Habitats for the People and NationSuch rare habitats exist where they are, and nowhere else in our country and the world: we must set an example that we know how to look after our natural Crown Jewels, and so start to show the rest of the world how to look after our planet. Our Ancient Woodlands amount to only 2% of our total habitat area, and yet are threatened by "white elephant" schemes such as HS2 and the Arundel A27 Bypass. 27 Ancient, historic, and nationally important trees are threatened by the HS2 scheme. As well as protecting rare flora and fauna only found in those locations, as well as habitat conditions only also found in these locations, they also bring a lot of pleasure and health benefits to people who get out to enjoy our valuable natural heritage.24 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Stephen Tuthill

CYCLE ROUTE ON HAMPSTEAD HEATH FROM KENWOOD TO THE LADIES' PONDDaily pond swimmers like me, who are being fined and taken to court for riding to the Ponds on No Cycling lanes, are being victimised. I have already been fined £500.00 after 2 court hearings. I'm nearly 70 and can ride far more easily than I can walk. My bike is like a disability scooter, only healthier! There seems to be a prejudice against cyclists on the Heath in favour of dogs. Many dog walkers walk as many as 10 dogs at a time and yet they seem to have the lobby which deprives cyclists of the right to ride on the Heath. Routes running North to South are particularly scarce and do not serve cyclists in the Highgate, Golders Green and East Finchley areas nor those coming up from Kentish Town, Gospel Oak and Parliament Hill. Surely we are kinder to the environment than cars on Merton and Millfield Lanes!53 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Barbara Massey

Better cycle storage for CanonburyThere are currently no secure cycle storage facilities in Canonbury, despite huge numbers of cyclists in the area. Bikehangars aren't expensive, only take up half a car parking space, and each provides secure, covered storage for six bicycles. For every one car space, 12 cyclists could be provided with storage. A recent consultation on the placement of additonal bikehangars in Islington led to plans for 18 new bikehangars, but all are in the north of the borough, with a third of them placed across 4 adjoining streets in Upper Holloway. The nearest proposed bikehangar to the Essex Road area is a mile away. Islington prides itself on being a green borough and supporting cyclists benefits everyone - reducing traffic, noise and pollution and encouraging healthy lifestyles. The Council needs to represent the interests of residents in all areas of the borough, not just the north section. As more people cycle, the borough will become cleaner, greener and healthier. With better cycle storage, everyone benefits!15 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Emily Waller
