Let the people who can most afford it, help with the countries deficit and do not reduce public spending. Keep public spending up where it is needed most. Tax increases for the higher earners, they can afford it and keep taxes down for lower earners to encourage spending. A major overhaul of austerity measures need to be made now and for all future attempts to reduce budget deficits, stop! punishing the poorer people in society and reduce the deficit by targeting areas where it can be afforded the most. The IMF and other financial experts and economists have stated that reducing public spending, increasing debt, etc can have worse effects overall on the economy. New measures are needed to keep the economy going and looking after the health and well being of all our citizens.

We are in the middle of arguably the greatest national crisis since the Second World War. In a Democracy it is only right that Government should be answerable to and accountable to the democratically-elected representatives of the people of the United Kingdom. Much of the Government's handling of the crisis has been subject to controversy. When strategic decisions affect whether people live or die, the Government's decisions must be scrutinised by Parliament to ensure that they are making the best decisions possible.

It’s the least we as a nation can do.

Hate crime has doubled in the last five years, and as a public broadcaster it should be a bulwark against racism not an amplifier of it's message. By giving a platform to Far Right activists like this they help to legitimise their views!

I have just signed a petition to pay more taxes. Which I support - but it rankles the the not-rich are signing this petition, while the super-rich pay peanuts.

The UK is sharply divided and people don’t always feel their views are represented by their MP’s. A PR system would end the need for tactical voting and enable people to vote for a candidate who represents their views without fear of their vote being wasted.

Mental health services for young people in the UK are doing their best to support what can be a major issue for students, both in formal education and university alike, but many services across the UK simply cannot keep up with this increasing demand. Waiting list lengths for counselling are some of the longest they've ever been and many young people simply cannot get the help they desperately need due to a lack of people able to support them. This combined with soaring number of helpline calls surely suggest that mental health services should be improved right?

Our government for years has been telling us that companies "like Amazon" have got away with their tax dodging for too many years. It's laughable then that Amazon is being allowed to provide services to a government department for which they are no doubt being well paid.

Without this information the public are not fully aware of all the issue behind the results of previous elections. Furthermore, since one of the biggest issues of the coming election is Brexit we need to be aware of any meddling in the 2016 referendum. Finally, if there has been interference in previous elections we need to be reassured that it is not a current ongoing situation before casting our votes on December 12th. How can we be confident of fairness and probity in the election process.

John Bercow has served the House of Commons unstintingly with honour, professionalism and dedication for a decade. It is unthinkable that the current UK government should deny his elevation to the upper House breaking with all tradition, common decency and good sense. John Bercow is far more worthy of this honour than many who currently enjoy it. Boris Johnson should not be allowed to throw his toys out of the pram and block this.

All Chichester District Council meetings are held during the day making it impossible for working people or people with day time commitments to attend Council Meetings. 95% of the District and Borough Councils in England and Wales hold evening or late afternoon meetings. Chichester District Council is one of only a very few of over 200 second tier councils to hold all meetings during the day. Day time meetings make it very hard for working District Councillors to attend Council meetings to fulfil the roles for which their communities duly elected them. This also affects Parish Councillors and residents who work and need to attend meetings at Chichester District Council.
