Because this is close to my heart

The NHS and National Social Care Sector needs more targeted funding. As a result of the Corona Virus Pandemic, we the UK public, are more aware than ever, of the important roles that the NHS and Social Care sectors play in the life of our country, and there would be a national willingness to support these areas through additional taxation, with the secure knowledge that this would be where the money would be spent.

A 99-year-old war veteran who has raised more than £12m for the NHS by walking around his garden has now completed his challenge. Captain Tom Moore, who turns 100 at the end of the month, smashed his original target to raise £1,000 for the NHS fighting COVID-19, by walking 100 lengths of his Bedfordshire garden.

I’m a retired nurse, who’s trying to support friends and colleagues still working. It’s utterly heartbreaking. They’ve been sent into war without body armour. I’m deliberately drawing parallels to war remembrance. Their sacrifice, knowingly going into battle, knowing they are not protected properly is a demonstration of incredible bravery. Not all brave people are warriors.

This is important as carers that look after family members do a hard job like myself we are just like a doctor, nurse or even someone that works in a care home as we work all day and night cleanIng and looking after our loved ones. I myself was walking full time as was my partner until she got these disability in 2010. We are a group of people that do a fantastic job but unfortunately we are forgotten about and now is the time to high light this problem so that all carers including myself get a proper living wage.

To prevent accidental overdose, and generally make life easier for those needing medication it seems logical that the critical information of how many to take, and how often, etc should be as clear as possible. Many people live alone and many have imperfect sight. Often the illness might make people less able than normal to cope with tiny text without searching for a magnifying glass. Clear concise and easy to read instructions might help maintain the independence of those forced to live alone.

Because Covid-19 isn't the only virus that can kill in these days, so is apathy and ignorance. Women, and men, will be in isolation without the safety of a 'home'. As we hear the increase in calls for support for domestic violence/abuse has risen 120%, we can be sure the 'real' number of cases will be far higher. If I was where I was 18 months ago, I would not be writing this. At a time charities are struggling, these large companies should not be profiteering from their determination to save lives. I have lost teeth, i have many scars, I will not loose my voice to fight for every humans right to live without fear of their partner or family. Please sign, the monetary value on safety has to stop!

If New Zealand can do it why can’t U.K.? They expect the people to do it. Footballers to do it. Should be the least the Prime Minister would want to do anyway

WE should never forget that the same banks rescued by taxpayers 12 years ago are failing to return the favour. The granting of loans to keep businesses and jobs alive has been shamefully and pitifully slow despite being largely underwritten by public money. Banks seems to find every excuse not to lend. This after we bailed them out in 2008. Chancellor Rishi Sunak must bypass the banks and grant loans direct from the Treasury, as happens abroad. Hundreds of thousands of small firms and their staff do not have months to wait.They’ll be destitute in days

It is important for any worker whom is putting themselves at risk to help others. Super market workers are working hard in very challenging and unprecedented circumstances to help others so this is a good way to acknowledge that work and say some kind of thank you.
