Freeze bedroom taxIt's important because it's a ridiculous tax on the poor and those on benefits especially the spare bedrooms you can just fit a bed in .7 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Denise Brennan

Money for extra teachersChildren are our future. If they miss the basics in Primary school they will be unable to do well in further education and jobs. It is vital that they get extra help which is not possible in normal size classes. There are not enough special help teachers. Some children will need one on one help, others will cope in small groups but large classes cannot meet all the needs10 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Davina Ellis

No Airline bailouts without customer refundsAirlines at first offered cash refunds to customers whose flights have had to be cancelled due to the Coronavirus. But now they are going back on that promise and offering vouchers instead. There is obviously collusion as they have all announced this action together. https://www.theguardian.com/business/2020/apr/22/big-uk-airlines-and-travel-firms-denying-refunds-which-coronavirus https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-52370158 At the same time, they are all applying for enormous levels of public funding to prop up their businesses during the lockdown. Sign the petition to demand that the government withhold public subsidies of the airlines until they honour their legal obligations to customers.4 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Graeme Smith

No bailout for airlines without environmental conditionsTaxpayers should not be funding an industry which contributes so massively to disrupting and threatening taxpayers' lives. Greenhouse gasses were at an all time high when most air travel was forced to come to a halt in March. There is evidence that the effects of the coronavirus are exacerbated by air pollution. And, most of all, the effects of climate change will do far more damage - both to the health of individuals and the economies of countries - than the coronavirus ever will. Nine million people are currently estimated to die every year due to air pollution. Experts believe there will be 150 million premature deaths by the end of the century due to air pollution alone. That's not to mention what climate change will do to our health systems, our economies, our food supply, to oceans and to wildlife. The taxpayer shouldn't be footing the bill for one of the main contributors to climate change.75 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Patrick Lee

Freeze interest payments on all loan and credit card 'holidays'It seems to me that the payment holiday being offered by banks and credit card lenders is a bit of an empty gesture. Yes it will allow customers to miss 3 months of payments without incurring additional charges for being unable to pay the monthly bill, but the interest on those payments will continue to accrue. In simple terms, these companies are making extra profit from their customers pandemic induced difficulties. this cannot be right, or fair.64 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Jason Spiller

abolish pub rents during coronavirus lockdownPub companies have long profited by penalising successful business operators (tenant landlords) by increasing the rents payable to the company if profits are made by an individual renting the premises. It is time that the companies recognised that closing pubs not only penalises the tenant , but also the individuals (customers) who make the premises viable. The sociological impact in certain areas can be devastating to local communities. Inevitably, the pub companies loose out by not making any profit , until their assets are realised by selling off the property. The property may well be sold as a "free house" meaning the new owner does not have to pay premium prices for the product they sell on and this helps to make the business more profitable. (it is with personal experience that I have found I paid a premium of 80% on top of the brewery charges, which goes to the pub company) In order to keep our pubs open it is necessary to provide a rent free period to allow these businesses to remain until the current situation comes to an end. This is Britain, and the "local" pub is an experience revered all over the world. The greed of the companies should not be allowed to destroy the income and lifestyle of those making profit on their behalf, nor destroy the communities which provide those profits.116 of 200 SignaturesCreated by Paul Roberts
