• If Uncle Ben can do it, why can't you?
We know that there are options to sell these products in recyclable pouches as the big brands are already doing it. This is something that can be done. These own brands are making a conscious choice to sell their products without care for the environment, and are choosing profits over the planet and it needs to change now!

  • Cycle paths for Briton creating less emissions and healthy lifestyle!
I feel we are losing our beautiful country to crowded roads full of cars and fumes damaging the wildlife and our environment to us all becoming greedy machines. People are more stressed unhappy and certainly unhealthy! Life speeds past us all enough and all we are doing is damaging our planet and leaving our children and grand children is a black hole to live in ! Yet we say we want the best for our children? By making a stand is at least trying to make a difference as I know not everyone likes to cycle but for the ones that do at least make some dent in the smokey air to breathe!

  • Growing low THC Hemp - remove the existing licensing requirements
Growing hemp requires no pesticides or herbicides, can be grown in poor soils, fixing nitrogen and preventing soil erosion, it absorbs more carbon per hectare than any other commercial crop or forestry. Hemp has 25,000 different uses, It can be used to make significant quantities of paper, textiles, building materials, food, medicine, paint, detergent, varnish, oil, ink, and fuel to name a few. The Low THC Cannabis (Industrial Hemp) Licensing requirement is unnecessarily complicated and expensive. It is a ‘cash crop’ that could restore the fortunes of UK farmers and the environment while there is no reason, other than protecting the interests of a couple of very large companies with questionable government connections, that growing this crop in this country in the 21st century should require a license. In 1533, King Henry VIII made hemp cultivation compulsory by law. They could even pay their taxes with Hemp. President Trump has recognised its importance and has made it legal to grow in the US. Why cut down a tree when you can use hemp?

  • Free school passes children to longcroft school for east riding children
It is important so that the children in villages do not get pushed into schools and there choices are taken away not every child wants to attend a single sex senior school ..it's discrimination unless they do go to them there not allowed a bus pass for our own council area yet the school 2 miles across road get it all free funding it's wrong ..it doesn't give our children a choice and put parents in financial difficulty letting them go were this wish to learn ..

  • References before interview
This is important as no position has been offered and it is time consuming for both candidate and referees. It can also stop you from being able to secure work if you are in future given a job offer after an interview and your references have to be contacted again. They may put it to the side as you no longer work for them and it is not of priority to complete it. Contacting current employers before an interview can cause tension at your current job with your employer as they are now aware you are planning to leave them but the reality is that you may not even secure an interview because of timing of references getting back and the position can be offered to other candidates whose references were quicker and allowed them to secure an interview and get the job. In this case you then have to contact your referees and let them know you no longer need them to complete the reference form and apologise for any inconvenience.

  • Stop Companies from selling our information to others. Cold Calling, Leaflet Dropping
Leaflets are not only a pain when that is all you get in your post every day, but when you get the same leaflets every two weeks it is not environmentally friendly. We are always bitching about saving the environment and yet we print millions of leaflets every year. Restaurant menus are the worse. Sales Call's about life insurance and Double Glazed windows. Venerable people get targeted By Fraudsters and con-men through sales calls such as this.. If we want you we will call you. Stop! pestering us. and destroying the environment by cutting down trees for your leaflets. Stop Knocking at our door when we are just about to eat our dinner or are trying to cook it. And stop calling us when we are busy. This is a gross invasion of privacy. Make it illegal to sell our personal information to Companies. and Open it up to the public to be able to claim compensation for the stress this causes when big companies sell our information without our permission. It does not matter anymore that you click the "No I do NOT Wish To be Contacted Box" anymore they still sell your information to other companies and make millions doing it. They cause stress to the elderly and frail. and the system opens you up to the invasion in other forms. like con-men ringing claiming they are from Microsoft trying to get access to your computer so they can hack it. or claim they are calling you from your Bank or Building society. Just think How much money these companies would save if they did not have call centers or print billions of Menus every year that end up in landfill or worse sprawled across roadways, parkland and your gardens. because people could not be bothered to deliver them all. There are many forms of no evasive ways of advertising so let's bring Cold Calling in its many forms to a stop. Make it illegal. It is outdated and Bloody annoying and stressful., and could potentially ruin someone's life.

  • Legal driving age
Young people are allowed to go to work at 16 yet the only means they have of getting to work are public transport (in the area we live in this is not viable) or riding a moped (on today's hectic roads, It's a bit too risky). Why can't the legal driving age be reduced to match?

  • FASTER COMPENSATION FOR TRAIN CANCELLATIONS
This is important because myself and many others have had days out, holidays, flights missed and business meetings ruined as a DIRECT result of train delays and/or cancellations. When trying to claim compensation it can take weeks, months, even years to claim and even then may be unsuccessful. The amount of hoops you have to jump through is totally unreasonable and unacceptable. The claims system is deliberately designed to put people off claiming compensation. I recently had a day out to a folk festival totally written off because a train was cancelled and getting the next one, an hour later, meant I would have missed my connection at the other end. The train ticket which records the day, date, time and departure and destination information really ought to be enough.
