  • Keep our dogs safe, Wittering wants a dog park!
It seems as though we have alot of walks around wittering and it's the perfect place for your pup to be...however, if your dog escapes, if you let them off lead and they chase an animal or get distracted, we are faced with the fear or loosing them to the A1 or a47. Not only this but not all dogs can come off lead, not all pups can be off lead straight away. We need a place to safely train them, to safely let them run and play with other pups.

  • Dog fouling
It's very dangerous for everyone specially for children. Children's can fall into it. I think the council needs to buy and put cameras up in the area to catch them dog owners for not picking up there dog mess.

  • McDonald’s: take responsibility for reuse/recycling of old happy meal toys
Much as I would like to live a perfect eco-friendly life, I have children, and with children come happy meal toys. Lots of them. They are (except for a select few) mostly ignored after the first hour. So what am I supposed to do with all these toys? Some are collectible and can be sold on eBay, but as a busy mum I don’t have time for that. Charities won’t accept them as donations. Most local authorities don’t take toys in their household plastic recycling. As an eco-conscious person, I try to avoid landfill, and I know McDonald’s are aiming for zero landfill too. So why aren’t they taking responsibility for all the happy meal toys and the tonnes of plastic waste that comes with it? I’ve tried to contact McDonald’s about it, and received poor answers that simply do not acknowledge the scale of the problem.

  • Keep Corby’s Willow brook clean and maintained
The Willow brook that runs through Corby is an important tributary of the river Nene, feeding into the river just north of Fotheringhay and as such is an important watercourse in the County. Concerns have been raised over many years that the course of the Willow Brook is not being maintained as effectively as it could be and that local residents who have responsibility for helping maintain it are not accepting their responsibilities.

  • FAIR TAX FOR ALL
It is important because all the money companies make has been made by people purchasing goods and services from their tax paid incomes, low income resources or savings, not as right wing pundits would have us believe, from the sheer brilliance of the company owners or directors.

  • Use less harmful fuels in Formula One cars
Around 151,200 liters of fuel is used every year from Formula one cars. This is a ridiculous amount of CO2 released into the air. We need to have much less carbon dioxide so we try to fight the ever growing issue of global warming.

  • Ban Arms Fairs in the UK
On 9th August 2018 a bomb was dropped on a school bus in Yemen, killing 40 boys aged between six and eleven, just one of countless atrocities that happen every year, fuelled by the global Arms Trade. The UK actively supports this deadly trade by hosting numerous Arms Fairs each year, including the DSEI Arms Fair, one of the world's largest Arms Fairs that happens every two years in London. The British Government officially invites representatives from some of the world's worst human-right's abusing states to these Fairs, including Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Pakistan and Egypt, countries on the UK's own "human rights priority" list. In the past illegal weapons and torture equipment have been discovered on sale in these Arms Fairs, as Mark Thomas recounts in his book 'As Used On The Famous Nelson Mandela'. These Arms Fairs need to be stopped. Every child deserves peace. Arms Fairs Aren't Fair. Let's stop the UK's role in fuelling war.

  • Build a Spaceport for the UK
A new spaceport in Sutherland, Scotland will energize the UK's ability to reach space and create a large number of new jobs and economic options for Scottish residents in a remote region. With a tiny, sustainable development it will offer new high tech jobs to local people and bring Britain back into space for the first time in almost 50 years.

  • Freephone Telephone Access
It will encourage people to use the services easily rather than not use them due to the financial concerns. When I was unemployed way back in 2004 I campaigned to make access to benefit office freephone. I was appalled that when people have no money and are needy they have to pay to call unemployment services. I am not sure but I believe they now have a freephone telephone number for job centres.
