It is a link to industrial heritage of the region of Oldbury, its growth and the development of the housing, green spaces and community supported by Albright & Wilson (now Solvay and still trading in Oldbury). Albright and Wilson were the largest employer in the area in its heyday, and they link back to the mid-1850s. They were quakers and invested in their workers in the local area for 100’s of years. The mosaic serves as a tribute to our Industrial and Educational heritage and for the ex-pupils of Albright High school who made it for their D T studies with their teacher Mr Frost. There are generations of swimmers who used Langley baths too, that want it to remain in the public eye for future generations of the area.

After the Crooked House burnt down a week after a pub chain sold it. It’s time the government protected our heritage, not only pubs but all our history. Make it a legal requirement that all buildings are insured and insurance companies rebuild to has was, sites are protected and monitored and enforcement is undertaken. Stop the demolition by arson that seems to be happening.

There are nearly 700 people who live in these PFI villages 2years ago all funding for the catering was removed we have a large number of disabled and elderly who now survive on cold food and it is only the generosity of there neighbours that supply them with a warm meal we demand that the kitchens that were run by Stoke On Trent council be put back The company Your Housing Group who manage these villages have done there best to ensure these kitchens never open they are talking about decommissioning them a soon as they can that is why we need action now Day to day we see our basic rights removed. These people have worked all their lives only to find that getting a hot meal is now no longer one of them. Don't let this become the new future, don't let big business say this is how it should be because it eats into their profit margin - help give back what they take away.

The Kept Animals Bill would have also banned live exports, cracked down on puppy smuggling, and a ban on primates as pets. Last month, the Conservatives refused to revive the Bill! Farmers across Wales, including the Vale of Glamorgan, will have been deeply disappointed that the Conservative Government decided to withdraw the Bill at the last moment. We support efforts to ensure that a bill is introduced urgently to pass these protections and new powers into law. Police forces require greater powers to investigate instances of dog attacks effectively. It is hoped that if the police are empowered so that there are more successful prosecutions there will be a greater incentive for dog owners to ensure that their animals are kept under control. Farmers rightly feel betrayed by this Conservative Government, they need action not excuses! The Farmers Union of Wales have said that the u turn has caused "real frustration"! During the Covid pandemic, dog ownership rose sharply as people took on pets as companions. This has led to more "gruesome" attacks on farmers livestock by some unscrupulous dog owners. Our farmers and their livestock deserve better protection!

All of us who go to or exit the tram stop to the south have to pass through an alleyway with a blindspot. The adjacent houses don't overlook the spot, they just hear the screaming and shouts for help. It's a favourite spot for drug dealers, groups of men harassing women and for muggings to take place. We've had enough! We want to be able to walk home safely, or go to the tram stop safely. You can't see who's around the corner till you are literally next to them. The multiple exits down the alley way make for an excellent getaway for the muggers. The metrolink camera only covers their path till it joins the alley way. And that's where they are waiting for the next victim. The only option is that Manchester City Council will put in a surveillance camera to secure this dangerous blind spot alleyway. How many more reports does it take till we will get listened to? Sign our petition and let the Council know that they have a duty of care. Don't let your friends and family be the next victim. This must be the only place where the path from the tram leads people into an unsafe alleyway, before they get to the road and pavement. Together we can make it happen. Let's put an end to having us walk into a hidden area where you can't see who's waiting for you. The blindspot at the end of Sidbury Road to walk through the alleyway to get to the path to the tram has to be made safe. Enough has happened already, join us and don't let your friends and family be the next victim.

Everybody uses wifi for communication as some people cannot afford to pay for texts or calls

Edinburgh after school clubs should be accessible to all children that need them, regardless of disability! Imagine the impact on disabled children, who are already excluded from many activities that most families take for granted, for whom after school club with their friends was a highlight. Now they are faced with being excluded from their after school clubs while their peers continue to attend! Imagine the impact on parents suddenly having to decide whether they can continue with jobs or studies with two weeks' notice. Finding alternative provision at this short notice is next to impossible – the childcare crisis is even more of a crisis if your child has additional support needs. What’s the bigger picture? According to the Scottish Government, “Disabled people should have freedom, dignity, choice and control over their lives. We want to remove the barriers that stop people from enjoying equal access to full citizenship.” The recent City of Edinburgh Council decision is clearly at odds with this ethos. Moreover, the Equality Act of 2010 states that when public authorities make policies and decisions, they must think about the need to eliminate unlawful discrimination, advance equality of opportunity between people who share a “protected characteristic” (which includes disability) and those who don’t, and foster and encourage good relations between these two groups of people. Enabling disabled children to participate in mainstream after school provision self-evidently advances equality of opportunity and fosters good relations between our children and the other children, and so the decision to eliminate this funding violates the public sector equality duty under this Act. Not only does this target disabled children, some of the most vulnerable members of our society, it also makes no economic sense because it will limit the ability of parents and caregivers to work, forcing us to rely more, not less, on public funds. And it will make society less inclusive for all of our children. What can you do to help ? Please stand with us and tell the City of Edinburgh Council that our children are not just numbers on a balance sheet; they continue to deserve support to access childcare alongside their peers.
