• Stop UK food industry using plastic food packaging
The amount of plastic being used is clogging up the oceans and putting its sea creatures in danger. We've seen the horrific stories of sea turtles being suffocated by plastic bags and fish with bits of plastic and beaches strewn with bottles, toys, lighters and straws. These materials take hundreds of years to break down. We can't go on like this. It has to stop.

  • Affinity Sutton's Water Cap
We feel that our families are being unfairly penalised. The children that live here have a communal garden and one of the activities that is enjoyed by ALL the children young and old is the use of paddling pools. The capping of the external taps means we are unable to water our garden plants, unable to provide water for the dogs that use the garden and we are unable to allow the children to cool off in the hot weather. This is important as we are paying communal water charges but have no access to communal water. We were not consulted or given fair warning of the taps being capped. We have been repeatedly ignored by our landlord. We as a community have been told we are not allowed to use paddling pools or have water fights in our communal garden and feel this is unacceptable. This petition is a way for all tenants in rented properties to show how important it is for landlords to listen to residents on issues that impact their lives.

  • Protect Red Squirrels in Perth and Kinross
Perth and Kinross is lucky to have a thriving population of red squirrels which bring great joy to many people. Unfortunately, many red squirrels are killed by speeding vehicles, especially on country roads. The Council needs to be proactive in protecting this native species. Erecting red squirrel road signs and reducing the speed limit on country roads is a good start.

  • BRING BACK ROCKNESS FESTIVAL
Primarily a dance festival, Rockness pulled in big acts from all over the world. It is so important to bring back this festival to promote music. The setting on the edge of Loch Ness is unparalleled. With T in the Park facing its own troubles we feel this would be the perfect time to bring back the beloved Rockness which people still discuss and look back on fondly today. Economically, Rockness took in lots of money to the area and allowed small local businesses the chance to showcase their goods. We appreciate the value of small businesses locally and the need to encourage their growth and ensure their stability.

  • Label 'GM-Fed' animal products for consumption
We should have the right to know about how our food is produced, so that we can choose to consume it, or not to. Therefore clear labelling is very important. Also it should be a basic Human Right to be able to avoid food, if it can make us ill. It is suspected that at least 27 people died and over 1500 to 2000 people became permanently disabled (and still awaiting a cure), after consuming a genetically engineered food supplement called 'L Tryptophan' some years ago [This can easily be checked by googling 'Tryptophan + GM Deaths'. Also see below in red box]. On a personal level, 'GM-Fed' animal products have been making me ill, since my local food shops have been selling them unlabelled these past approximate 8 years. It is clear to me that playing about with Nature's deep foundations is not a safe thing to do, coming from our still highly undeveloped level of consciousness. Please support this petition.

  • East Ardsley skatepark
There is no skatepark in the area. This would get young people motivated into sports and would stop trouble being caused.

  • Change Age for allowing OAP bus pass in England
In London, Scotland and Wales people over 60 can apply for a concessionary Bus Pass for free travel, however in England you have to wait until you reach your pension age, this is totally unfair for people living in England, this concession should be available to the whole of the UK once you reach 60. Keeping it the pension age discriminates against people in England over those who live in Scotland, Wales and London
