These include the loan of books, careers advice, IT training, Newspaper Reading Rooms, Group Activities for Young parents and children, Access to Computers and photocopiers, archives for researchers, local information. Libraries are important hubs in local communities providing information on local services, activities and groups. Closing local libraries will isolate communities and individuals, especially the elderly and disabled.

We want to: - Reduce the dominance of motor cars on residential streets. - Prevent rat running and 'through traffic' on residential streets. - Create safe and quiet residential streets where children can play or walk and cycle to school. - Give people living in Birmingham real alternatives to the car. People need safe and convenient alternatives to the private motor car. In Birmingham we have an obesity crisis as well as many people who cannot afford or struggle to afford runnning a car. Pollution is also a major issue in our cities and the government will be fined if they do not start tackling this head on!!

Homelessness is important to our country what sort of planet make its own money yet has its own people starving and freezing to death on its streets of all ages in all countries great Britain has homelessness what's great about that print some notes of round them all up and help them don't they deserve a chance at life , if evil serial killers and pedophiles get the help why not the vunrable good homeless people why ? 🤔

There is a plan to close the A&E unit and centralise A&E facilities at Canterbury. This will risk the lives of the people who need this vital service. The time taken to travel to Canterbury from Thanet could mean the difference between life and death to those who are ill or involved in accidents. I have a special needs son, who has global learning difficulties and severe epilepsy. When he suffers from epileptic fits, we often have to use the A&E facility at Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother Hospital. I am sure that there are many others, who are in a similar situation, and need to do likewise. I have started an online petition, to be sent to Health Secretary Jeremy Hunt, in order to try and save our A&E unit at Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother Hospital, Margate. This A&E unit is vitally important to the people of Thanet. Transferring services to Canterbury or Ashford would cost lives.

A lot of traumatised people are still living in temporary accommodation, almost 6 months after the fire. It would be reasonable to assume that Prince Harry and Megan Markle would be appalled by this and, consequently, delighted that the occasion of their wedding may in some way help to rehouse them. We're calling on The Rt Hon. Liz Truss MP, Chief Secretary to the treasury, to finance this, as a wedding present from the nation to them.

The voting age should be lowered to 16 because we think that people are responsible enough to know what they are voting for and they are deciding their future. 16 year olds are eligible to join in the army but are not allowed to vote for who makes the decisions that change their future. They are many other things they can do like learn to drive a car which is a big responsibility.

It is important to the community as there are alot of families with children (myself included) that are affected by this. Residents of hillingdon should be treated equally and given the same rights as everyone else !!!!! Please consider making parking easier for residents that live above the pavillions allowing parking permits so that we have the same rights as everyone else 🚘🚗🚘

This hospital serves adults and children from this country and from abroad due to its high reputation in heart surgery and has received the highest Order of merit, a most excusive civilian award. Order of Merit are chosen personally by the Queen. he Brompton has previously scuppered a previous attempt and one a High Court battle arguing the process was flawed. Why then would the NHS Executive who will rule on Thursday the fate of the Brompton by dismantling the highest quality heart care service in this country. This could result in an unforgivable act to dismantle the most important heart disease in Britain.

Because unqualified staff are being used more and more in schools in England and Wales. Every class should always have a fully qualified teacher in it. Schools are increasingly using unqualified staff to cover lessons of absent teachers, sometimes for weeks at a time. Supply teachers losing 40-60% of their daily pay and their pension is forcing them out of the profession. Teacher retention and recruitment is at crisis level in England and Wales. The taxpayer and most importantly our children are being shortchanged. Public money is going to private profit. Education is not a business, it is our children's birthright. England and Wales are slipping down the OECD rankings every year.

While teen pregnancy is on the decrease in the UK, we still have the highest rate in Western Europe. Teen pregnancy rates here are 5 times higher than in the Netherlands and around twice the EU average.
