Take the EU referendum for example. Many older adults voted to leave the EU, but the people who will be affected in the future by these changes didn't get a say in what happened. If the leaving the EU has its difficulties, then the younger people will be affected. That is why I want you to sign this petition.

It's difficult to plan finances around payments that move around the calendar each month. Direct Debits in particular don't cope well this this. The system is out of touch with modern family finances and needs to be changed.

Being a British Muslim, and a daughter of two immigrant parents I have always been so proud of how Britian has given a hand out to people desperately seeking for help.Living in a country like this has meant I show pride in my nationality, however with the recent events, I am beginning to question this. There is an estimated 90,000 unaccompanied children and teenagers across Europe Help Refugees, one of the British charities working in France, had already launched legal action against the government's handling of Dubs. Its judicial review, which will be heard on Friday, argues that ministers failed to consult local authorities properly about how many unaccompanied children could be housed.

Residents of Carlisle take great pride in their city yet feel exasperated by the decades that buildings are left to rot without the council taking any action. They're an eyesore that damages trade, deters local investment, are a poor advert for the city to tourists and make the city feel and look unloved. Many of these buildings may also be a hazard to the public walking past them as they have not been maintained for decades.

The commercial TV companies have it made, no studio, no actors/actresses, low overheads etc. It is frustrating that the public are having to fundraise for the NHS when there is an obvious pot of money which can be gained from a small change in the law. These services are overstretched, the staff are overworked and they are struggling with a lack of funding. Please remember that we the national insurance and tax payers are paying for the services above that commercial TV programmes are being made out of, with the commercial TV companies for far too long being allowed to make such huge profits out of national insurance and tax payer funded services. EVIDENCE/RESEARCH THE INFORMATION BELOW HAS BEEN HAPPENING FOR YEARS AND SIMILARLY IS STILL GOING ON TODAY, (Investigation over the period of one week sat 6th January- Friday 12th January 2018 more than 103 hours of TV footage was shown of the police over various commercial Freeview channels, and over 29 hours of footage featuring the NHS. This equated to over 24 hours of advertising revenue (YES ADVERTS!) during the police programmes and over 6.7 hours of advertising (YES ADVERTS!) during the NHS programmes). This is a typical example of just one week of the year, and similar will be happening every week which would equate to 1257.7 hours of advertising (YES ADVERTS!) during police programmes and 351.8 hours of advertising (YES ADVERTS!) during the NHS programmes per year. As you can see the amount of advertising (YES ADVERTS!) revenue the emergency services could be taking advantage of is huge, even if they only had a small percentage of the profits from advertising alone it would make a huge contribution towards their funding. NHS Additional income for more NHS staff & Equipment Additional income to be able to pay for free car parking for staff & visitors POLICE Additional income to be able to pay for extra police officers (policemen on the beat) Additional income to fund local donations to good causes

The population is living longer so more and more people will drop into being 70+. Surely a switch to a 75 year old threshold and then a yearly confirmation of healthy status, would be a much fairer approach!

There is a pre school sports session on and then many use soft play after, would be good to get drink, snack or lunch. Vending machines wouldn't work for hot drinks and the snack one is filled with fizzy juice and chocolate and crisps

Because at the moment these plans are quickly being put through whilst the general public are unaware of the new plans. They intend to knock Richard dunn's down and rebuild on Sedbergh playing fields but without any of the slides, cafe, squash courts, badminton, tennis, cycle track, various exercise classes, children's zone etc . They are chopping down a large amount of trees some with tree preservation orders all on the green land at sedberg that local people have always used as we have no park. This is on top of the loss of the other bradford pool's that they are already closing.

THE PETITION Rebecca Colpus's role as the Development Officer for the South West of England has been made redundant! The polio fellowship central office offered only limited support to the Groups in the South West beyond Bristol prior to her arrival. Rebecca has built up the southwest as a strong network of members connecting post polio survivors and providing them with resources that have been life saving and the demise of her role will be catastrophic! In addition the action directly contravenes the British Polio Fellowships Mission statement! The National Servicemen were the school lads during WW2. Like everyone else they'd suffered the hardships of war: the air raids, the bombing, the gas masks, the rationing, a life of absent fathers, uncles and elder brothers away at war, evacuation to far away places, and many becoming the man of the house long before their time. When the war was over, they were as war weary as the rest, they'd had their share, but there was more to come for this generation of lads. When the war was over, those gallant heroes who had served so bravely in the war, had to be allowed to return home, and rightly so. However the country found itself with many unforeseen post war commitments. Occupied territories had to be controlled, the retreat from the empire had to be policed and a new enemy in the form of the soviet union was fast developing. The country was bankrupt and needed many men to fill the ranks. So, in 1947 the National Service act came into being, This required all young men when reaching the age of 18 to register for National Service. They would be required to serve two years in a branch of the armed forces, followed by many years on reserve. This continued for 15 years until 1962. Three thousand young men were taken from home to serve each week during that period, a total of 2 million young men. Choice did not come into it. They had to go. They had no control over which branch of the services they went in, what job the did, or where they served. They went when they were called, they served where they were they were sent, and did what was asked of them for this country without question. Also they did their service on half the pay given to their regular gallant comrades of equal rank and status, making a financial contribution to the country. They served in many bases around the UK, Europe and many conflict areas around the world. They were the bulk of our military manpower at the height of the cold war. During that period, over two thousand National Servicemen lost their lives and many more were injured. For the first and only time in the long history of this great country, young men were taken from home by rule of law to serve in the ranks in peacetime. They are unique. All request for a simple defence medal, similar to the one given to the Bevin boys (miners), Home Guard and other Civil Defence units during the war have been turned down. The youngest NS man will now be 75 years old, let's put this right before it is too late. Please support this petition.
