Free University for Medical StudentsIt has been announced there is a worrying shortage of Doctors and Nurses to ensure the NHS can continue to operate. Currently we are bringing people from overseas but failing to encourage our own to study Medicine. The cost of going to University is a big ask of anyone thinking of taking up a career that will not reap rewards for many years. For Nurses it is even harder as they will not get to be in the higher paid salary bands of top Surgeons. In return all students must commit once qualified to a minimum of 5 years working within the NHS. This ensures the taxpayers investment in their careers has a satisfactory return and we all see a properly staffed NHS for the future.16 of 100 SignaturesCreated by John Armstrong-Coulson

Save Our North Derbyshire HospitalsDue to government cuts Hospitals around North Derbyshire are being closed. Our standpoints should be taken into consideration due to the harmful effects which would occur if this beneficent petition were not to be signed. Factors such as travel would become problematic especially for the elderly relatives having to use public transport in rural areas such as Bakewell and surrounding villages. The staff would have to be relocated perhaps to a less convenient area which may extend their working day and affect their life/work balance and would cost more in travel. Overcrowding would be seen in the larger hospitals which would have a drastic impact on waiting times. These are just some of the multiple problems North Derbyshire would face in the shutting down of some of their many hospitals. To also show support it would be very beneficial if you would come to the meeting in the County Hall in Matlock at 7pm on the 24th of July.81 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Ella Lemon

Wipe off the parking ticket fines from NHS staff. And allow free parking for the future.NHS staff are vital in the UK. They save lives and shouldn't be penalised for it. There is no justification why they should be charged were they park their car using private car park companies in fines. It's disgusting to think it's actually happening. Needs to be resolved.8 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Ozi Lopez

Challenge the touch taboo and encourage safe touch in schools and care settingsAffective touch is a powerful medium for conveying empathy between people, for example when acknowledging that a child is highly successful, anxious or upset. A large body of recent neurobiological and psychological research clearly demonstrates that affective touch activates a crucial nerve system in the skin of all mammals that defends against stress and promotes feelings of well-being. A lack of touch is linked to less ability to cope. Safe touch also promotes discussion about what is not safe or wanted by other people.167 of 200 SignaturesCreated by Sean Cameron

More peak time carriagesThe travel conditions are worse than the underground. We are squashed in like cattle taking up isles and all areas. We have the right to a seat for what we pay or to be able to at least stand comfortably.2 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Gina Bartlett

Sterilised and SUFFERINGThree years ago I thought that sterilisation was the best decision for me and my family but it turned into my worst nightmare possible. Like so many other women, I have been suffering in silence and it is destroying our lives. The pain, discomfort, depression, family upset (and so much more that we have to live with every day might have been avoided had we been advised correctly initially. Because PTLS is not yet a recognised health issue, women are not getting the medical help and support needed. Woman are getting into debt taking out loans to pay £1000's of pounds on private surgery for clip removal or having reversals so they can live a normal life. Personally my life hit an all time low where I considered extreme solutions to end it once and for all. It was a shared post a friend showed me that made me realise others were having similar issues with sterilisation and I started to research. This condition is real, so many women have contacted me to share their story. Other countries recognise it yet the UK remains blind to it. We ALL deserve quality of life and all we ask is that condition is researched properly, supported with dignity, explained more clearly initially and symptoms dealt with after professionally.64 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Kirsty Tietz

Codify the UK ConstitutionThis is important for limiting government tyranny and preventing human rights being eroded due to the UK lacking a codified constitution where rights can be defined for all citizens, making it much clearer and easier for citizens to stand up to tyranny4 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Dan Windibank
