Pesticide and herbicide free CornwallMany pesticides used in towns have been linked to serious illnesses like cancers and birth defects. Children are particularly vulnerable. Hundreds of towns around the world have already gone pesticide-free It’s time that Cornwall took the initiative and did the same. We need to protect our children from the harmful effects of pesticides. The French government have brought in a law to stop the use of all non-agricultural pesticides by 2020 - so it is possible. If Cornwall were to stop their use it would help protect our children and provide wider social and environmental benefits to all the citizens of this great county.70 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Nick Mole

Stop the Trade Unions BillYesterday, our MPs debated the Trade Union Bill again. And the Government won. The Bill passed with 305 votes for, and 271 against. This is devastating news - but the fight goes on. As the debate moves to the House of Lords, we need to highlight the attack on democracy that is contained in the Bill. The Conservative party want to be in power for a generation, and are fixing the system to make that happen. They’re making it harder to register to vote, and are redrawing the Parliamentary map in a way that benefits them. The Bill is seeking to impose limits on minimum returns and vote percentages of total membership, for those seeking to take industrial action. This reeks of rank hypocrisy from a Government who only polled just less than 25% of the electorate, yet they deem that a clear mandate to continue with their ever more punitive and regressive policy making But that’s not all. Hidden in the Trade Union Bill is a clause that is deliberately designed to restrict trade unions supporting the Labour Party financially - while doing nothing to limit the hedge funds and millionaires that support the Tories. Another clear case of "Do as we say, Not as we do!"60 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Lee Ball

Free/cheaper public transport for children under 18We are asking for all children under 18 years of age to be given free transport at the very least for school journeys. • Some children cannot afford bus/tram fare – walking could lead to crimes • Walking home is not an option; children live too far from their school; also winter is approaching Public transport is safer, there are many people; which also reduces crime rate on public transport3 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Muhammad Pathan

Stop landline charge increases! Most houses still have a landline which is controlled by BT and therefore there is no real competition except for Virgin who seem to increase prices in line with copper wire providers. Consumers have no option but to pay and that includes many pensioners on fixed incomes but who may need the landline because it is required for their link to emergency services.14 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Brian Wilson

Collect the £120 billion in unpaid taxes by corporations like Google & StarbucksAusterity Cuts are affecting the most vulnerable people in society, as well as hard working families, local authority budgets, and the NHS as well as other public services. However the money saved through austerity is an insignificant amount when compared to the amount of money being lost through tax evasion and tax avoidance. Collection of this unpaid tax would negate the need for austerity all together and could boost the economy improve the standard of living for everyone in the UK.28 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Ian Dalton

Make it a criminal offence to deliberately lie Or miss lead in the House of ParliamentCurrently it is not an offence to lie or mislead in the House of Parliament. I think if this was a criminal offence the lies and misleading would stop.26 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Robert Drage

Respect for Veterans on Remembrance DayBonfire Night is no longer celebrated on just one day or even over that weekend, but over a few weeks. Many of our veterans suffer in silence at this time of year with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, and loud fireworks cause them much distress and suffering and flash backs. They have done so much for our country, why can't we give them the respect they deserve.4 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Rebecca Langley

Open up empty buildings in HarlowTo plead to the Council to open its empty buildings to the homeless in winter. I cannot imagine sleeping rough in driving, biting winds, snow, ice and winter rain. It's inhumane. It's also inexcusable when we have so many empty buildings.16 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Claire Usher

Renew In The FleshThis television show contains a range of diverse characters, including those of the LGBTQ+ community, and an incredibly strong female character. The show is important for those of LGBTQ+ community as it boosts representation among media (also the sexuality of the characters in question is never explicitly stated, which is how sexuality should be dealt with as no one should have to come out), and deals with sexuality as it should be dealt with. Mental illness is also depicted in the show, which raises awareness and may help to end stigma around mental health issues, and deals with them in a way that not only spreads awareness at how serious they are, but also shows the aftermath of the consequences of some mental health issues (i.e. suicide). Finally, although the program is a 'zombie' show it is not a stereotypical zombie show. It is bursting with original ideas and concepts, and deals with far more issues than a regular TV show. In The Flesh is an incredibly important program to so many, and the renewal of it would mean so much to a lot of people, young and old alike.4 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Bethany Collins
