Back plans in Deptford for a world-class centre for blind young peopleThis would be the UK’s first ever purpose built centre for blind and partially sighted children, young people and their families. We aim to tackle poverty and exclusion by giving blind young people and their families a space where they can understand their condition, interact, forge friendships and learn new skills supported by RLSB’s professional staff team. As a diverse, historic and ambitious London borough, with innovative plans for the regeneration of Deptford, we believe that Lewisham would be an ideal location for the centre. With the support of the Lewisham MP's, local councillors and the Deptford community, we can make this a reality. Find out more at: http://www.rlsb.org.uk/seetheirfuture The Royal London Society for Blind People (RLSB) is the no.1 charity for blind young people. Our experts work with parents and families to make sure blind children and young people discover the skills and confidence they need to take control of their life and beat a lifetime of exclusion and poverty.15 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Jenny Clegg

Reinstate funding for Mare Nostrum to stop refugees drowning at seaEvery human life matters. Providing funding to Mare Nostrum would ensure that people are rescued at sea when they fall from rickety dinghies and boats trying to make the crossing in a desperate attempt for a better life. Lives were lost this summer because Mare Nostrum was no longer in operation as it lost its funding. Funding Mare Nostrum would be a simple and quick way to ensure that more lives are not lost. It's not the answer to the refugee crisis, but it can prevent more lives like Aylan and Galib Kurdi being tragically lost.6 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Mia Eisenstadt

Refugees Welcome in WimbledonWe could be doing more. We live in an affluent area surrounded by designer shops and more coffee shops than we need. We have a lot to be thankful for. We may seem like we are a world away from those displaced by conflict but they need our help now. Aylan, the toddler who drowned fleeing Syria, was just three years old. His town was under attack by Isis. His five year old brother and his mum also died trying to reach safety. We don't want Britain to be the kind of country that turns its back as people drown in their desperation to flee places like Syria. So let's stand up for Britain's long tradition of helping refugees fleeing war. Let's show the Prime Minister that we, the people of the UK, are proud to do our part and provide refuge to people in their hour of need. Refugees Welcome in South HamsWe should be deeply thankful that we live in such a beautiful and safe part of the world. Surely we can show some kindness towards people caught up in world events which are completely outside their control. Aylan, the toddler who drowned fleeing Syria, was just three years old. His town was under attack by Isis. His five year old brother and his mum also died trying to reach safety. At the time of the so-called Vietnamese Boat People South Hams was active in offering safety to people who were fleeing Vietnam. We can do this again. We can do this and tackle the dreadful trafficking too. It doesn't have to be one or the other. Refugees Are Welcome In MidlothianAylan, the toddler who drowned fleeing Syria, was just three years old. His town was under attack by Isis. His five year old brother and his mum also died trying to reach safety. Yet our prime minister has just said ‘we won't take any more refugees’. He thinks that most of us don't care. But 38 Degrees members do care. We don't want Britain to be the kind of country that turns its back as people drown in their desperation to flee places like Syria. So let's stand up for Britain's long tradition of helping refugees fleeing war.
