London Resort first submitted an application to build a theme park on Swanscombe Peninsula in 2014. Since then this nature haven has been designated as a Site of Scientific Special Interest (SSSI), offering it protected status. The site is home to rare wildife and plants - 1,700 invertebrate species, 80+ species of breeding birds, rare orchids and water voles. Despite the environmental significance of the site, that the local roads are already buckling under the traffic demands and pollution is sky high in this area, the application to build a theme park here still remains. The project has been classed as an Nationally Significant Infastructure Project (NSIP), which means that the plans get to bypass the usual scrutiny of the local authorities. This NSIP was supposedly awarded due to the jobs being offered by the London Resort project. However, the peninsula is already home to 140+ active businesses, that provide 1,000s of skilled local jobs! The business owners have described feeling like they are on death row, having had the shadow of this application looming over them for over a decade now. We the, undersigned, ask that this NSIP status is revoked, so that the local businesses can move forward and the community can contintue to enjoy this treasured green space for generations to come.

I write with serious concern for local people who have for many years had to negotiate the junction of the A267 and B2102 at Cross In Hand. I can remember all the changes to the junction which have been made over the years to try and solve the problem of accidents occurring when traffic is trying to exit from the Lewes Road, vehicles turning right or left onto it from the A267 as well as vehicles traveling past the junction. Let us not forget either, pedestrians trying to cross the A267 to get to the bus stop or indeed the garage. I am also aware of people who regularly cycle this route and have many near misses where drivers have lost patience with trying to get out of this junction and egressing from the Esso Garage too. Other near misses are when the bus tries to pull out of the layby and when vehicles are exiting the garage and have nearly had collisions even if the bus is not in the layby because visibility from this junction is not good as the bend is sharp enough that even at 40MPH vehicles coming from the right, must brake hard on many occasions to avoid an accident. I dare to say that in my opinion, as a proficient driver, the changes that have been made have not worked and although this has been looked into for many years, enough is enough, especially after the death of the pedestrian on Tuesday 22nd March. Something needs to be done urgently before other families are bereaved. This has hit the whole community badly many people are upset. Clearly, something could be done to help prevent this. How many more lives must be lost before action is taken? Even one life lost is too many! This is an important campaign to help save the lives of drivers and pedestrians who use this major trunk road.

Penarth Esplanade used to be the heart of Penarth, however the Vale of Glamorgan Council seem to want to do anything they can to destroy it and put people off visiting. The outdoor seating area was a welcome addition to the Esplanade so it is now disappointing to see that the license for this to continue has not been renewed all for the sake of 13 parking spaces. Considering there is a big push to get to net zero this is hardly discouraging people to drive and shows a lack of commitment from the Vale of Glamorgan Council to achieve this. Please sign this petition to try and get the Vale of Glamorgan Council to hear our voice and reconsider their decision. We all want to do our part to contribute to reaching net zero so therefore do not see how the Vale of Glamorgan Council can prioritise car parking spaces (therefore encouraging people to drive over supporting local businesses)

Firstly, the offer of meaningful titles is false, as land reform campaigner Andy Wightman has outlined. Secondly, it's a wounding insult for all Scots to see parts of our land traded like trinkets. For centuries, Scots have had almost no chance to own our own land thanks to clearances, absentee owners, and sky-high land prices. Actually not much has changed. It's why the Highlands are so full of empty glens - not people. Scotland is one of the last places in Europe where land can be bought and sold on a whim with no questions asked. As a result a tiny number of people own the land - fewer today than in 1872. This storm in a Goodie Bag reminds Scots why land reform is urgent and necessary - to turn the ownership of our beautiful country into the shared responsibility of Scots, not a trinket to be traded by strangers.

Oatlands Drive is a fast and busy road. Used as a cut through especially when there are problems with the M25. We have local schools, residents, parents, children and dog walkers who are unable to cross this road safely. Parents walking to the park with pushchairs risk their and their children's lives when having to lead with the pushchair into the road. Dog walkers have to wait for the traffic to disappear which is virtually never. With summer coming up the park will be used even more especially as we have the only outdoor paddling pool for miles. We need a crossing and we need it now. Everyone in Weybridge or Oatlands knows someone who uses the park. That's someone that risks their life to get recreation. When recreation in a park is one of the few free activities we have nowadays, it shouldn't be paid for at the cost of safety.

As a concerned parent I want something put in place for not only my child but other children to get to school safely without the fear of getting hurt by drivers who don't stop to let them cross the road before and after school. I want something done to protect our children

Apart from the very real problems this lack of parking will cause in a residential area of family housing, it is completely unacceptable that the council as a developer is failing to meet its own conditions which are there to protect the community. The council is failing to value the established local communities in the Orchard Road area and is acting with out any regard for the needs of existing local residents

With fuel and food prices hitting the roof , not all customers can afford to buy in bulk and need to make small manageable purchases on a frequent basis. The shop provided the conveniences for the section of the community who are not in position to buy bulk so the around the clock opening meant they could "buy on need basis." Small items on a frequent basis in line with the income. The loss of 24 hours opening will result in a serious squeeze on peoples budgets as they will now have a shortened window to purchase necessary items which will lead to deprivation. Families on low income will also suffer intensifying child poverty in the community. Turning the fuel station into "pay on pumps only" will also exclude people who either don't have a bank card ,have insufficient funds leading to being overdrawn and into unnecessary debt and those folks who are not IT literate or have the confidence to use the keypads/technology. The loss of jobs and reduced hours of work by the Tesco employees will also exacerbate the unemployment and poverty in the community. The lack of personal touch will also go against Tesco's ethos of being visible in the community and customer care/service. I hope you will seriously consider this matter empathically.
