Say no to Circus Mondao in the ValleysForcing animals to perform in circuses is unethical, outdated and wrong. According to the RSPCA who have fought hard for many years to get the use of wild animals in circuses banned, 97% of the public support the incoming ban. This shows that people do not want circuses that feature animals to be able to perform. As well as wrongly using animals, the staff from this circus have also been known to leave abusive/misogynist comments on animal rights campaigners posts, leaving animal faeces in spots where campaigners stand and are also renowned for littering.688 of 800 SignaturesCreated by Billie-Jade Thomas

Help us save two historic buildings in Newton Le WillowsThe restoration works will save the manor house, which was built in 1774, and barn which dates back to the 1600s and will deliver a further 10 apartments. The listed buildings have lain empty for decades and have fallen into an advanced state of disrepair, and this is the last opportunity to save the buildings, which are described by Historic England as being “not only of local significance but of national importance.” It will also provide much needed family homes for the local area.442 of 500 SignaturesCreated by Oaktree Developments

Schools Should Not Be Used As Polling StationsLewes District Council have yet again taken the decision to use Cradle Hill CP School as a polling station and therefore the school will be closed, not just on the 2nd May but also on the 23rd May, equating to 13 hours of missed education, in a term that already has two bank holidays. Our children’s education is extremely important. Something that East Sussex County Council like to remind us with their Get a Grip Campaign and the fines they impose on parents and carers for taking their children out of school. 13 hours of “forced” missed education in one year is not acceptable, the knock-on effect is huge, especially with SATs coming up, children with special needs loosing precious time, those who rely on school dinners each day as their only hot meal and the extra financial burden to parents and carers. There are plenty of community buildings in the ward that could be utilised for this purpose ie Seaford Community Church and Seaford Children’s Centre. Let’s get this decision over ruled.268 of 300 SignaturesCreated by Steph Georgalakis

Keep a full range of hospital services at Homerton University HospitalELHCP are drawing up plans in secret for Hackney’s NHS, in line with the Government’s 2019 NHS Long Term Plan. These plans have not been published in full, but we do know they could make deep cuts to NHS services and increase privatisation. Homerton Hospital is likely to be heavily affected by the plans. ELHCP are not consulting us about the plans, but we need them to know that local people do not agree to any reduction of NHS services, or longer journeys. Under ELHCP plans, Homerton Hospital could be re-purposed as a surgical centre, taking patients from a much wider North East London area, and in future might provide only limited ‘core’ acute services. Homerton’s excellent ‘Type 1’ A&E service could be downgraded to provide much more limited ’Type 3’ Emergency services. The plans could mean Hackney residents having to travel to other hospitals across North East London for many services currently provided at Homerton. Meanwhile, Homerton’s pathology lab is set to be downgraded to a ‘spoke’ of a ‘hub’ based at Bart’s Hospital. This means much longer turn-around times, and could severely limit the services Homerton can provide. This threatens the treatment of sickle cell disease, difficult births, bariatric surgery, and brain injuries. Homerton has already seen the building of a new Path Lab stopped; more and more tests moved to other hospitals; and loss of experienced staff, leading to existing staff becoming demoralised and overworked. ELHCP’s plans also involve the relocation of 100 mental health beds out of Hackney to Mile End. ELHCP is an unaccountable body making critical decisions about NHS services across the North East London boroughs of City and Hackney, Tower Hamlets, Newham, Waltham Forest, Barking and Dagenham and Redbridge and Havering. These proposals reflect Government policy to impose cuts through reorganisations, with hospital services spread out over a much greater area, meaning much longer distances and travelling times for patients and visitors. NHS bodies have a legal duty to consult the public about any significant proposals for change as part of the development of plans. This should happen before any plans are published or decisions are made. Hackney Keep Our NHS Public (KONPH), is a local campaign group. KONPH is one of around 80 groups across England affiliated to a national KONP campaign against cuts and privatisation of the NHS. KONPH demands that ELHCP keep a full general hospital in Hackney, with an appropriate pathology lab and A&E department, acute psychiatric care, and facilities for care of elderly people.378 of 400 SignaturesCreated by Dominic Simpson

Bring back the 6.15pm 98 bus in Colchester Town. The representative for First Bus said the bus is being cancelled due to lack of patronage. This is a false statement as I take this bus every day and it is always busy and not just with concessions. Anyone like me, who has no alternative route, will have to wait until 8.10pm to get a bus home. They have not stated clearly anywhere on social media that these changes are happening. I've been telling people MYSELF on the bus each night and they have been shocked and distressed to find out they won't get home till 9pm. They are still running the 98 out of Clacton at 5.30pm, 6.30pm and 7.30pm but not from Colchester. Why? It is not a lack of demand. They have tried to slip these changes through quietly and left their customers desperate for information and no care shown that when the 28th comes round and we literally won't be able to get home... unless we wait 3 HOURS!! They say its tweaking a service to increase punctuality, a 3 hour wait is not punctual, it's outrageous! This cannot be allowed to remain in place. It's not a service it's an utter disgrace.233 of 300 SignaturesCreated by Sharon Jones

Safer kids - Radical increase in muggings and violent assault on children in our neighbourhoodWe the undersigned residents of Brent demand our streets be made safe for our children. We are writing to you to demand you immediately address the radical increase in muggings and assaults on children in our local area. Lawlessness is rampant and impunity is now rife in our neighbourhood. Our streets feel like the Wild West - anything goes, and no one can do a thing about it. Muggings and assaults on children are now occurring daily, often between 2pm and 7pm on the peripheries of schools, in parks and around the Chamberlayne Rd area. These crimes are committed by youth, at times in balaclavas, often using knives, sometimes using steel bars as a threat, other times using direct violent assault - and all this in broad daylight. In the cases where adults have tried to intervene, they too have been violently assaulted. One parent was recently punched in the head in Roundwood Park numerous times in front of his son, and another parent had a plank of wood smashed into his face, loosing several teeth in the Queens Park area - also in front of his children. Sadly, many cases go unreported as the victims are fearful if they tell, they could be putting themselves in more danger. Moreover, parents at times fear nothing will be done as the police rarely turn up, or if they do it's 30 minutes late, when the perpetrators are long gone. At an age when our children should be cherishing a newfound independence, they now have to fear for their safety. They must ask themselves: Will I be attacked on the way home from school today? Is it safe to take my phone? Do I have to walk in a big group to be safe? What should I do if I get assaulted? Will they knife me? No child should have to ask him or herself these questions. We want our children to: - be able to walk to school and home from it - go the the park/skatepark - walk to a friend's house - go to the corner shop - catch a bus/ the tube etc... without having to worry that they will be assaulted or mugged. The effect of daily fear in these young minds, if not addressed, is likely to lead to a dramatic increase in anxiety, depression and isolation in our local community. May we remind you, in 1991 the UK signed the Convention on the Rights of the Child, one of the nine core UN human rights treaties. The CRC protects the rights of children in all areas of their life, including their rights to "freedom from violence, abuse and neglect". It is tragic that almost three decades later, in this supposedly civilised society, our children are not protected from violence or abuse in their very own neighbourhood. It is tragic, that due to austerity, our society is now one in which crime is rampant, impunity rife and our children - our future - are the ones having to suffer the devastating consequences. It is tragic that they must now live in fear in their own community. We demand you make our streets safe for our children. We demand action and we demand it now. Yours sincerely, AC Collet on behalf of Safer Kids4,236 of 5,000 SignaturesCreated by Safer Kids

Cuckoo Hill, Bures: Retrospective planning permission should not be granted for new applicationsA developer has knowingly built 6 houses in breach of planning permission. In July 2018 an application for retrospective planning permission was refused by the Planning Committee. Work has continued on site and now 3 new applications for retrospective planning permission for Plots 1-4 have been submitted. The developer has ignored local concerns, intimidated residents and run rough shod over neighbours by continuing to build houses both higher than approved and closer to neighbours. The new properties dominate the skyline and overshadow original houses and gardens intruding on residents’ privacy. We ask Babergh District Council Planning Committee to stick to the decision made in 2018 and refuse retrospective planning permission for the site. On the spot fines for people using bbqs/starting fires on national trust parksJust warning people of the danger is clearly not working, most people don't know it is illegal. Wildlife and the beautiful countryside is at risk all over the country.. Last year people had to be evacuated! This needs to stop now!321 of 400 SignaturesCreated by Bobbi Wright
