To help prevent the incidence of cancers, altzheimers disease, and other "epidemics" of disease that have appeared recently, which may have a connection to the cocktail of pesticides/herbicides and pesticide/herbicide residues which everyone consumes on a daily basis.

This is important because people should not have to inhale the smoke or vapour from these as they still contain nicotine and sometimes horrible smells, (alternative tobacco products, such as e-cigarettes, smokeless tobacco, and waterpipes may cause serious potential health problems, including cancer, because of the chemicals and toxins they contain, ( info from www.cancer.net)) As public spaces increasingly become smokefree, anecdotal reports show some people are using e-cigarettes indoors and in smokefree public spaces, including bars, restaurants and on public transportation. While e-cigarettes do not produce smoke, they do expose others to secondhand emissions. Little is known about these emissions or the potential harm they may cause. Two initial studies have found formaldehyde, benzene and tobacco-specific nitrosamines (all carcinogens) coming from those secondhand emissions. Other studies have shown that chemicals exhaled by users also contain formaldehyde, acetaldehyde and other potential toxins. There is no evidence that shows e-cigarettes emissions (secondhand aerosol) are safe for non-users to inhale, and now there might be some containing cannibis which everyone in the place where they are smoked will be subject to it no matter how little it contains. They are already being banned in Wales and in some USA States, and other places. I have already had cancer and do not want myself or others who have suffered this horrible disease to have to endure the stress these can cause when they are having a meal out in a restaurant, as has happened to me each week, or in the cinema, theatres, etc, also they could make young teens and children become addicted to them as I do not think there is an age limit on them.

Britain changes its clocks from British Summer to Winter Time every October. This results in one hour more natural light on winter mornings: but one hour less light on winter afternoons when most people are out and about. More people, especially children, are on their way home from school and work and are involved in more traffic accidents during murky Winter afternoons than in the mornings. More people feel depressed and isolated due to early evening darkness, some imposing late afternoon curfews on their outdoor activities. Less people of all ages play sport or venture out socially during winter evenings. The majority of purportedly clock-conscious cows are these days milked by robots. British Summer Time is also known as Daylight Saving Time - which contributes to energy saving. British Winter Time in contrast leads to consumption of more of our valuable heat and light resources during cold and dark winter afternoons. Due to its northerly location near Iceland, Scotland might have reason to maintain the hour's difference between Winter & Summer time and should be invited to make its own parliamentary decisions on this issue. In the rest of Brtain, there is no logical reason for this clock changing to British Winter Time which adversely effects people's mental and physical well-being, transport safety and scheduling, and causes the over-consumption of valuable fuel resources.

We have had petitions about Neonicotinoids but the real problem for pollinating insects is that their habitat is vanishing. As a beekeeper, I know that the most painless way to increase their habitat (and that of many other native species) is for Local Councils to stop mowing road verges and instead use the money and manpower so released to plant them and tend them so that they burgeon with a wide mix of native plants, especially flowering plants. This does need a new way of councils thinking and for such things as the Royal Horticultural Society "Britain in Bloom" contest to massively mark up those who do this and massively mark down those who mow every time a daisy appears (just look around Stockton, here in the North East they regularly get RHS awards and mow everything down - disgraceful!) On the approach to Hartlepool on the A689 the local council has allowed someone to do just this. The result is both beautiful and has hummed with insects all year

As a single parent I work full time and not only responsible to keep my children fed, clothed and housed I also have £700 nursery fees to pay monthly. Currently absent parents pay 11% of their gross income (CSA) and have equal rights and responsibilities for a child to whom their name is on a piece of paper known as a birth certificate... YET, the responsibilities are significantly cut when it comes to financial support - why? It is punitive to the resident parent and the detriment is felt by the children housed with that parent. Significant changes need to be implemented in respects to parental responsibility to encompass ALL areas of a child's life or none at all - not the areas that the non resident patent chooses. My children and I live renting, in debt and on the poverty line whilst the non resident parent owns a home, car, motorbike and has holidays. Is 11% of their gross income really £41 per week to have such luxuries?

There is so much unused space in Birmingham. Just think how many square foot becomes empty and unused at night; all our high rise offices, all of our shops, all of our businesses, and now grand central. At the same time, tens (if not hundreds given the recent explosion we've seen of people sleeping rough in Birmingham) of people have to sleep outside; exposed, cold and often in fear of abuse. Let's stretch out a hand and do a simple thing, which may have a profound impact. Let's utilise our space and create an area in Grand Central where there are beds available to those sleeping on the streets. Let's break down barriers in society, and truly show that we care.

David Cameron has refused to bring in a tax in the UK in fact he has refused to listen to the independent research which proposed a sugar tax. Childhood obesity has become a major problem and will get worse in the future if we do not take steps to to reduce the sugar intake of children. Our government is in the pockets of the food manufacturers -only the EU can implement the tax over his head. Our children's health matters please lobby your MEP to raise this issue in the European Union.

Frizington fire Station has by some reports up to 80 call outs a year. Whitehaven retained fire station and Egremont would not adequately cover Frizington's area which includes Cleator Moor and outlying villages towards Cockermouth. The closure would leave a very large area with inadequate cover. Closure would be a mistake and would put the lives of West Cumbrian people at risk.
