• Reverse the decision to close the Flour Mill Pond to anglers
This decision affects everyone in the village of Greenfield, where the Flour Mill pond has been fished for decades with no reporting of fishers injuring themselves or giving rise to health and safety concerns. The people of Greenfield wish this decision to be overturned and reversed as it was made with no consultation from local people, and against the recommendation of Flintshire County Council officers. This decision is not only destroying the landscape that many love to come and visit, but also the habitats of wildlife in the area and the surrounding environment.

  • Make Bonham Road Resident only Parking
Having parents park their car on any bit of space/ pavement they find is dangerous, accidents are occuring it's making it even more difficult to cross the road to get to the school. Children and adults that walk to school are almost getting knocked down by the people pulling up on to the pavements. It makes the road much too busy and puts people at risk.

  • Trump not welcome
Trump has shown himself to be unworthy to hold the position of President of the US through many actions and comments and most recently by his deliberately misleading reference to comments made by Sadiq Khan relating to security matters in London. If Trump were to come there will be huge public discontent throughout the UK . There would be an unjustifiable security cost to protect him at a time when all our security resources should be concentrated on the high level of risk of more terrorist activity against the general population.

  • Theresa May: Review Trump's UK state visit invitation
Donald Trump's ill-judged, offensive and divisive response to 3/5/17, and his internet harassment of London's democratically elected Mayor, disqualify him for the honour of a state visit. This petition calls on Theresa May to invite the elected representatives of the UK Government to review its offer of a state visit to Donald Trump, in response to the offence that Trump's comments on 3/5/17 have caused to huge numbers of people within the communities of London and the UK; most importantly, those directly affected by the terrorist attacks.

  • Mitie Must Fall
MITIE Group PLC is the UK's single largest provider of immigration detention centers. Inspections have severely criticised these facilities for detaining people for 'unreasonably long' periods (even when medical and mental health professionals have recommended their release) in 'desolate' and insanitary conditions. Other exploitative practices include the use of inmates to perform essential maintenance work, with payment of only £1 an hour, while incidents of serious self-harm quadrupled in 2 years at one immigration detention centers operated by MITIE. Durham University has a long and proud record of respect for human rights and social justice, a record that is being tarnished by our association with immoral companies like MITIE. Working with these firms is an embarrassment to the student body and the university as a whole, this is why we are calling VC Stuart Corbridge's administration to cease all relations with MITIE (firstly by not renewing their current £5 million contract, due for renewal this year) and to look into updating the University's procurement policy to include more human rights requirements.

  • Reopen Home Office investigation into foreign funding of violent extremism in the UK
We need to hold to account those responsible for funding terror and those who maintain normal relations, this can only be achieved by tackling those who fund them head on and are called out publicly.

  • Ariana Grande for OBE
For someone who's concert was the stage for a barbaric act of terrorism she bravely and unselfishly showed the world a better way and should be praised for it. So many celebs get honoured for nothing and this young lady should be praised for her compassion

  • Don't change Gravesham bin collection
Gravesham Borough Council want us, the residents, to take any excess to the tip ourselves. This is NOT what we pay our council tax for. This will be a requirement for ALL families, every single week. Some do not even have cars, what will happen to the rubbish then? There will be MORE rubbish on the streets, and an increase in rats and foxes attacking refuge. There needs to be a change, this has not been thought out well at all, and is nothing short of cutting corners to save cost.

  • Save Cae's home
Cae is a valued member of our community and has contributed a great deal to Bentley House Estate and supported many of its tenants/leaseholders over the last 20 years. City South Housing Assocation, now part of One Manchester, describes its purpose as: Creating opportunities · Transforming communities · Changing lives · Providing quality homes · Ambitious · Connected · Trustworthy A recent move by the company unfortunately calls most of these into question - apart from “changing lives”. Making a long term resident homeless and destitute would certainly be life-changing for him. Please follow the link below to the video of Cae explaining his desperate situation. Please don't delay! Watch the video today. We've got 11 days to challenge this decision to save Cae's home and future livelihood. We urge you to take 10 minutes to watch this. We are running out of time to help Cae get justice! https://youtu.be/9rwlO9DzDvk
